She had been watching him for weeks, waiting for the perfect moment. Finally, Draco left his cronies to slip into the girl’s restroom and Hermione was quick to follow. She slipped through the door as Draco pulled back his sleeve, staring in repulsion at the mark adorning his arm.

Looking into his eyes, she whispered, “I’ll keep your secret, but only if you’ll keep mine.” With that, she lifted her own sleeve causing Draco to cry out and put as much distance between them as possible, his eyes never leaving her matching mark.

“But you’re - you’re a Mudblood…” Draco began, confusion and fear etched among his features.

Hermione cocked her head to the side and sighed, “Draco, there are so many things for you to learn.”
