Part 3 Of What Happened During Those Ten Years Aleron was Gone

Aleron and Kato were walking the grounds of their new home when they heard two sad cries.

They immediately ran over to where they heard the cries. When they got there, they saw two, small doves. They had been abandoned.

“Oh! You poor children. Where are your parents?” Kato asked them as he sat on the ground next to them.

“We don’t know. They left a while ago and never came back. So, we tried to go l-looking for them but it's too cold.” one of them answered.

Kato looked up at his husband sadly. “Can we take them in, Darling? Please?” Kato asked him.

Aleron sighed. He knew he couldn’t tell Kato no, but how could they take care of children with their mafia? Aleron looked at the doves and then looked at Kato. Kato had a pleading look that Aleron couldn’t refuse.

“Fine. We can take them in.” Aleron finally conceded. Kato smiled and turned to the kids. “How would you two like to move in with us? We will take care of you.” Kato asked the doves. The doves looked at each other then looked back and nodded. Kato’s smile grew.

“Come little ones. Let's get you warmed up.” Kato and the doves stood up. The doves followed Kato and Alreron to their nest. It was a small nest, but it was home for them.

Kato sat down in the corner of the nest and the two little doves nuzzled into him to get warmth. Aleron smiled as he watched the scene before him. This was his family. “What are your names, young ones?” Aleron asked as he sat down next to Kato. “We don’t have any. Our parents just called us little ones.” One answered. Aleron hummed. “How about Malfoy and Riddle? They were the last names of the people who helped us escape from our past home, and Malfoy was the last name of the man who raised me. Both doves nodded frantically. They loved the names.

Aleron smiled.

Everyday Malfoy and Riddle grew, and everyday Alerons love grew for them.  This was it. This is his home.
