Regulus´s letter
Dearest Snuffles,
Your boyfriend has been pestering me for the last few weeks. I have decided to write to him this damn letter, to end both of our sufferings. I'll have to admit he is very persisting and if he gave you this letter it means he stayed true to his word and didn't try to open it. I hex it. Remember that hex we used to put on notes, so mother wouldn't open them? It's the very same. So congratulations if he is standing in front of you right now. I'm not sure what he wanted me to put in this letter. I must tell you I really miss you back at home. But I can see you are happy. Not only with this boy, but with the blood traitors. And I am happy for you, brother.
Now, ordinarily, or as mother says “as my duty” I should tell you, you are hanging with the wrong crowd. But, Sirius, I have seen you go out with half of the school and never have I ever seen you this happy. Of course, you know our parents wouldn't approve and in ordinary circumstances I would advise you to calculate the weight of your actions. But I think, since the day that you ran from home, you have taken your future into your own hands. Remember, you always used to change the dressing robes our mother would lay out for us to attend those hideous dinners? I recall you change them every time. You used to say it made you feel you could at least chose something. Now, the decision is truly all yours to make. And I'm glad.
I know you miss me, Sirius. But I also know you are better now than you had ever been. You should see yourself. Wild, care-free and obnoxiously loud. I think this boy in front of me really loves you. And I'll take a wild guess, and I'll say you love him too. He maybe a half-blood but since you are no longer among the Black's rank I just have this to tell you: Don't be a fool and let him go (also he'll be a fool to let you go). I can see how you look at him in the great hall and the halls. Believe me, he has the same sick puppy dog eyes when he watches you.
I really miss you, Sirius. For obvious reasons, that shall not leave this letter. But I love you and have always admired you. You are my big brother, I look up to you. Even now, that he have formed and chosen our own separate paths, I delight in your achievements. You have become a great person. You have always been one, but our house isn't a place for the values you stand for. But the rest of the world is. I think running away from home will only be worth if you continue to fight for love and friendship. Stay with Potter, and I think it's a good idea you stay with this Remus boy. I am absolutely sure that one day I'll be able to share the freedom you have gained. Until then, I love you, my older brother.I´m really proud of you, Sirius, and some day I know I´ll make you proud as well.
