So there you go,
There’s the story of how…
James Potter gifted Lily James, a small part of his world. A world Lily had entered when she was eleven years old. A world she felt fascinated by. Maybe it was a piece of the wizarding world, but it also was a piece of who James Potter was. Loud, beautiful, intimate and there for everyone to enjoy. James thought about Lily, but also about her having a good time with friends. Because if James Potter believed in anything, it was that love and friendship are two of the most valuable things.
Of how Lily Evans, practical and loving, gifted James something she knew for sure he wanted but still manage to surprise him. She always did. Could it be that Lily gifted him a part of the muggle world? A world of which James knew nothing about and therefore seemed so… well magical. There’s a possibility. And of course she gifted him something to enable his quid ditch obsession because otherwise he wouldn't be James Potter.
Of how Sirius Black gifted Remus Lupin a night in which the werewolf could feel in absolute control. A night where he wasn't a slave to the moon. A night where he actually could admire the beauty of the full moon. Sirius hoped Remus could watch the full moon and understand that it was something beautiful, not a tragedy, just as him. Being a werewolf was just as much Remus Lupinesque as eating chocolate or wearing oversized sweaters. Sirius Black gifted Remus Lupin a glimpse of how he, Sirius, viewed him. Mysterious, gorgeous and radiant on the night sky.
Of how Remus Lupin gifted Sirius Black a way to mend a broken tie. To heal his heart and his relationship with one of the persons Remus knew Sirius loved most. Remus Lupin knew how much love Sirius had in him. And he also knew how much both brothers missed each other. Remus grew alone, not lonely. He didn't have any brothers, but Sirius longing eyes told him how much his little brother meant to him. Remus Lupin gift wasn't expensive or flashy, but it was more valuable than all the gold in Gringots.
