"Please don't let this be a mistake." Mary prayed in a whisper as she gave the letter to her owl.For the second time in Harry's life, he would receive a letter sealed with red wax that would flip his world upside down.-Two days later, a snowy-white owl comes to the window of Mary's kitchen carrying a manila envelope. She held it in her hands for a bit, holding on to what could be the last moment of hope. She torn into it and removed the single piece of paper.The first line read two simple sentences in handwriting that felt so vaguely familiar it sent a blow to her chest. "Yes, please. Everything you can tell me; I want to know."

So, the general idea for these chapters is going to include a letter from Mary Macdonald to Harry Potter in 1996 (and on from there) and "flashback scenes" where we will see the story of the Marauders play out. This is my first Marauders and AO3 fic, so fingers crossed. Also! This chapter is short compared to the length of the rest of the chapters. This chapter is just to kind of set up the story.
