Beauxbaton Academy of Magic

Aurora and Olivia are in the carriage soaring through the sky. Umbra rested on Aurora's lap, purring as she gets belly rubs. Her small form fit so perfectly on her lap. The peaceful atmosphere ended when her godmother announced that they had arrived. That made Aurora finally look out the window.

There was a large landscape of land with a few trees surrounding a Victorian castle. Its building was mainly a creamy color with the roof of each part in a dark navy blue color. Behind the castle was a garden filled with countless rows of flowers.

The carriage lowers itself down as the winged horses make their way to land carefully on the ground. It was bumping at first but then the vehicle steadied itself. The horses' steps could be heard instead of their wings.

Umbra woke up from her nap and growled slightly annoyed by being interrupted again the second time. She leaps off Aurora's lap now licking on her front paw as the carriage comes to a full stop. Olivia pushes the carriage door open, stepping out of the carriage first.

Umbra shortened her form to be a kitten and jumped on Aurora's left shoulder hugging her close to her neck. Exiting the carriage there she sees that there are many more just like hers in front of the castle.

Young girls around her age exist from the carriages that brought them here. They all crowded together with their luggage still on the back of the carriage. Aurora reaches out to Olivia's hand, looking up at her nervously.

Olivia smiles and tightens their hands together.

She kneels down to her and whispers, "It's alright Aurora, this is your new home if you wish it to be. So you don't have to be scared, okay."

Aurora nods shakily.

"Now I will see you in the Sorting Ceremony, just enter inside my Deputy Headmistress Trinity will then guide you to where you need to go."

"We will see each other again, right?", Aurora asks nervously.

"Of course, my cygnet."

Olivia stands back and steps back a few steps, giving a soft smile to her goddaughter, "Have fun!" She then apparates from where she stood. Aurora stared for a few seconds at where Olivia once stood till she was snapped out of her trance by Umbra, whose soft fur rub again on her neck.

Aurora then faced the castle, giving it a determined smile, and made her way to the entrance.

Once inside there were countless paintings of horses, flowers, and butterflies on the walls. The following students were all waiting on the bottom floor of the castle and there standing waiting patiently at the top of the stairs is a beautiful lady with rich dark skin and curled brown hair. She wore a long golden dress and a small golden flower crown on her head.

Silence covered the room as the doors closed behind Aurora.

"Welcome young witches to the Beauxbaton Academy of Magic," Trinity spoke so softly and elegantly yet it was strong and powerful.

"Here in this castle, you will learn not only the importance of casting spells. But the opportunity to find oneself. Before me, each and every one of you is a small flower. There is a goddess inside you whispering to be released and here in this Academy we will help you blossom to the flower you are all meant to be."

All the girls whisper excitedly and in silence when blue butterflies flew around them. Once the girls were quite awed by the sudden appearance of butterflies Trinity stopped the enchantment, smiling at the positive praises she received from them.

"Before you can become a student in this school you will be placed in a test."

Whispers spread quietly.

"It is nothing dangerous, I can assure you. It's a simple test that allows one to identify which house out of three you personally belong in. The Houses are Papillonlisse, Ombrelune, or Bellefeuille. In your houses, you will treat each other like family, and the points you earn will determine who will be the lucky house to perform the ritual of "Celest" during the full blue moon."

"What is the ritual of Celest?" one girl asked.

"It's the only night that you may ask those spirits greater than us one question of whatever you wish to know. Though I must warn you, they speak in riddles."

All the girls had their eyes wide and each was eager to want to win so that they could ask the spirits any of the questions that they so eagerly want to know.

"Now!" Trinity claps her hands the noise echoes loudly. "Let's us now begin the test, please follow me."

Trinity then walks back to a double door, leaving it wide open as all the crowd of girls including Aurora follow right behind her. The creaming and gold architecture surrounds them as the ceiling was designed with hand-painted clouds. Trinity opens another door and inside is a large room twice the size of the Belmont's ballroom. There were students much older that were standing in three sections of the room.

There was an insignia in front of each group. One was green with five leaves, the next is blue mixed with grey and has a sinister-looking moon. Lastly, a purple color insignia with a butterfly alighting on a leaf.

Trinity stops walking and tells the group to stay out of the circle. It was there that Aurora peeked over a redhead girl's shoulder to get a glance at how the circle looked.

There were white markings on the floor, the main one was a circle and it curved inwards. Aurora was unfamiliar with its design.

Trinity walks inside the circle and stops once she reaches the middle. She whispers something and deep into the pocket of her cloak she throws out a white powder. The markings on the floor began to glow. Trinity stops chanting the spell and removes herself out of the circle. She stands next to Olivia who Aurora just realized was there watching her.

Trinity's voice speaks in the quiet room.

"When your name is called, please step inside the circle and remember you do not have to fear anything. Let the spirits enter your mind."

One by one the names were read out loud from the scroll in Trinity's hand. Each time a house was chosen the symbol representing the house will float around the girl in the circle. For example, a girl named Bethany entered the glowing circle and within a few minutes, a group of purple butterflies magically appear and float around her. The group of teen girls in that section of the butterfly cheered that they received a new member of their House of Papillonlisse.

It continued up till it was Aurora's turn.

"Aurora Belmont."

Aurora walked past a few girls and walked over the glowing line. Now standing in the center she glances at Olivia who gave her a nod of comfort which relieved the tension on Aurora's shoulders. She closes her eyes feeling a reach of unexplained force looking through her thoughts and memories. She feels her emotions heighten and her body feels extremely light as if she was floating. Whispers of voices speak to her, some young and some old.

Love and warmth course through her. A sense of bravery and loyalty to wanting to protect her godmother course through her body above all other emotions of hers.

"House of Bellefeuille!" Trinity shouted.

A loud cheer came from in front of her as Aurora opened her eyes seeing leaves floating around her form. She giggles touching a leaf in front of her, and watches as one lands on the front of her cloak, and forms itself into a pin. She then makes her way to join the rest of her new household members.

The ceremony continued till it reached the final girl and once she was placed in a house Olivia stepped forward. The room quickly went quiet as she stood in front of the now painted circle it's glowing light vanished.

"How proud I am to see you all in the houses that will help you become the better and greater version of yourself. Please do not hesitate to seek help from your friends even if they're not in the same house as you. For you see, even though each of you is in a different house does not mean you do not carry the same determination or personality as the other house. We are all one the same. Together strive to be powerful and never leave one behind. It's only then will you become the greatest witch in the world."

Aurora was awed by her godmother's influence in the room. Glancing around, she can see in the eyes of the older students the sense of admiration they have for Olivia. Even the new students such as herself looked at her as an idol.

"Now how about we all celebrate the welcoming of this year's new generation of witches!"

Everyone clapped and cheered.

Olivia and Trinity walked side by side as they opened another set of doors. They walked through a small corridor and finally behind big wooden doors was the Great Hall. The hall had three long tables and above them the insignia of the houses.

They were waiting for them were the professors standing in front of a long table at the very back of the great hall. It was there that Aurora saw Olivia shake hands with them and took a seat at the very center on a golden chair.

Everyone took their seat and Olivia clapped saying, "Let the feast begin!"

A large number of delicious meals appeared in front of Aurora. Awe by how much unfamiliar food is in front of her, she decides to grab a small portion of all that she can reach to try them all. She as well spoke a moment at a time to her new peers, getting to know them slowly.

Once they were all full and the night had finally settled. Olivia stood up from her seat, which made the room quiet down and everyone's attention was on her.

"Now that we all have our full, I believe it's for the best if we all head to bed. You are all going to need the rest to be prepared for your studies." She glances at Aurora, making eye contact with her, and gives her a small wink.

Everyone rises from their seats and Aurora follows the rest of her peers talking alongside them as they make their way to their tower. Once inside Aurora once again was stunned by the design of the room. Everything was in rich and lighter shades of green mixed with soft cream. There was a glassed wall overlooking the whole landscape and it was the perfect view of seeing the sunset or sunrise.

The older peers helped the new ones to their rooms and they were told each student had their own personal room. Aurora is extremely glad since she didn't really feel comfortable enough to share a room with someone....yet.

Inside her room was a cream wall, with green plants here and there. It didn't feel too overwhelming which Aurora liked. In fact, she loved that there were plants in her room since it made the whole place feel more alive and welcoming. Her luggage was at the foot of her bed and right on the left side of her pillow Umbra was purring asleep.

A dark green door was in the room which Aurora approaches seeing that it was a normal size bathroom. She then turns to open her luggage, pulls out a few pajama clothing that her godmother must have gotten for her, her bathroom essentials, and heads inside to take a shower.

Once out she started to feel the effect of her body wanting to go to sleep but she held on just a little bit longer to brush her hair. Turning the lights off the bathroom and placing her clothes in a basket.

She then pulls the soft covers off the bed.

Which woke Umbra up.....for the third time...she whines annoyed slightly growling before she sees Aurora crawling in bed with her.

"I'm sorry Umbra," Aurora whispers, feeling guilty.

Umbra moved from her spot waiting for Aurora to finally get comfortable on her side. She then moves to lay her body underneath Aurora's chin and places her head on her throat. Umbra purrs deeply and rubs herself on her owner, as a sense of forgiveness.

Aurora smiles, placing her hand to pet Umbra to sleep. The lynx kitten's body goes limp and Aurora finally releases a soft yawn. Her eyes slowly started to flutter close and darkness approached her taking her to the beauty of slumber.
