Wide eyes stare into the pair of deep sea blue vertical slits eyes. Glancing away from the creature's eyes, she looks down admiring the black and blue pattern scales covering the animal as a shield down to its long claws. Pulled by the beauty of the dragon that is four times her size, she grasps the cold metal cage that is preventing the dragon from leaving. A deep muscling voice, the same voice she kept hearing from when she opened the door now spoke again to her loud and clear.

"Pōnta dōrī ivestragī riñar ilagon kesīr. Qilōni issi ao?"  ("Strange...they never let children down here. Who are you, hatchling?")

She was shocked that a dragon was talking to her she remained frozen in fear and curiosity. 'Comment puis-je vous entendre ?'  ('How can I hear you?')

Confused by the lack of response coming from the young girl, the dragon laid itself down sensing her fear, putting his head on its front paws and having its tail curl right in front of him. The tail's middle section was black while the fins were a light blue color with lighting marking on them. The dragon follows her gaze and moves his tail closer to her. Aurora looks up to the dragon with her hands hesitating and itching to reach out and touch the tail.

He nods his head.

Placing her small fingers onto the fin gently and in awe of the rough texture confidently placed her hands on the tail. Soft giggles come out of her as he playfully moves his tail around. The dragon chuckles, amused by how easy it is to amuse the hatchling until his eyes come in contact with the golden pin glistening in the light.

 "Pendragon?"

Aurora glances confused at the longing tone coming from the dragon as she looks down at the pin still on her dress. She pulls off the pin and presents it to him.

'What does this pin represent? What's a Pendragon?'

"hmm. Ao līs sagon mute lo ao daor udligon. Though ziry iksos olvie strange, nyke emagon dōrī ryptan hen nykeā bona daor sagon able naejot ȳzaldrīzes se draconian udrir. Yn kostagon ao shifang issa?"

("Hmm. You must be mute if you cannot respond. Though it is very strange, I have never heard of a dragonlord who cannot be able to speak the draconian language. But can you understand me, hatchling?")

Aurora's heart speeds up as tears stream down her cheeks and she nods happily. The dragon wipes the tears away with the tip of his tail gently enough to not hurt her.

"Gaomagon ao gīmigon mirros bē aōha?"  ("Do you know anything about your bloodline?")

Aurora knew vaguely bits of information on Merlin seeing that some pages of his diary are now faded away and barely readable. Even some of the spells he had written were fading away but Aurora managed to memorize as much as she could before they were gone. She shakes her head answering the dragon's question.

"naenie zaldrīzoti gō issa emagon ivestretan se legend hen mēre famous dragonlord amongst aōha lentor. Zȳhon brōzi istan merlin, although naenie hen druids rȳ se jēda addressed zirȳla ondoso se brōzi emrys. ("Many dragons before me have told the legend of one famous dragonlord amongst your family. His name was Merlin, although many of the druids at the time addressed him by the name Emrys. He protected the dragons and ensured their survival for many years, even battling other warlocks powerful at his time when they wanted to kill my kind. Though as powerful as Merlin was at his time he as I was told by others, grew more depressed, and he was seen spending most of his time staring into the distance of Avalon in hopes that one day his true love would return.")

Aurora absorbed all the information the dragon as told her and she grasped tightly onto the pin, rubbing her thumb against it.

"Yn mirre hen īlva zaldrīzoti issi aware hen skorion massitas? Naejot se kraj sorcerer. Se mōrī jēda īlon ryptan hen zirȳla istan nykeā million jēdri hen sir. Yn īlon jāhor daor pendagon bona īlon jāhor sagon ōregion isse cages se pākrisīva ezīmagon slaves. Taking īlva scales se ondor syt se wizards' se witches' selfish jorrāelagon."

("But none of us dragons are aware of what happened to the powerful sorcerer. The last time we heard from him was a million years from now. The only one we know of who had last seen him was one of his closest friends, Vlad Tepes, but even then he too disappeared becoming simply a myth. Now more than anything, we are in desperate need of his protection. We assume that as the last of the dragonlords were killed until your father and his father before found us and spoke to us in dragon's tongue. But we will not think that we will be held in cages and turned into slaves. Taking our scales and powers for the wizards' and witches' selfish needs.")

If one looks closely they would see tears coming out of his eyes. Aurora stood up from her place and unaware of what she was doing, placed her hand towards the cage and focused on her magic to break the door open. Loud clanging and banging noises were all that could be heard before there was absolute silence. The cage once holding the dragon in place was now open. Freedom could be tasted on the horizon. Both the dragon and Aurora stared at the now space in shock. He moves towards the door as Aurora steps back, watching in awe at how beautiful he looks in his full form with his wings spread out. The dragon lowers his head down to an eye-level position with the young dragon lord.

"Issa brōzi iksos Züęš se nyke se mōrī hen thunder dancing zaldrīzoti." ("My name is Züęš and I am the last of the Thunder Dancing Dragons.")

'Thunder Dancing zaldrīzoti?' Aurora tilts her head confused. Züęš chuckles amused and he lowers his upper body down so that his neck is on the ground. "Pyghagon va lo ao pāsagon issa."  ("Hop on if you trust me.")

Some part of Aurora didn't want to fear and worry about how much trouble she was in once her father found out about what she had done. S'il a déjà entendu le grand bruit de l'ouverture de la cage.' (‘That is if he already heard the loud banging from the cage being open.') But a large part of her sense of adrenaline for mischief and excitement led her to reach out to the dragon and get herself on his neck. Holding a tight grip on his scales, Züęš lifts his head again and makes his way to the wooden doors that lead outside of the mansion garden. He inhales and on his neck, Aurora can see the blue designs on the scales begin to glow and disappear when he shoots out a blue spark of lighting out of his mouth. The sparks explode the door and Züęš makes his way out of the room.

The cold breeze sends a shiver down her spine. Aurora puts her head close to Züęš's neck feeling the heat coming from him. Once they were fully outside Züęš stretched out his wings all the way, and tilted his head back slightly to look at Aurora before saying, "ōregon va ȳrda."  ("Hold on tight.") He then raises his wings and with a single motion down they are soaring up to the sky. Aurora shrieks in fear of the sudden change in speed and closes her eyes tightly holding onto her dear life. It wasn't until Züęš told her to open them that she finally managed to calm down.

All around her were clouds, the dark midnight sky as the moon, and stars lighting up the world. Aurora remained quiet as she admired in awe how small the world looked down below her and how free she felt not having to be isolated in huge plain walls anymore. It wasn't until small bits of lightning started forming the clouds making Aurora worried for her safety. "Gaomagon daor worry youngling se lighting jāhor daor ōdrikagon ao hae bōsa hae nyke kesīr. Hae nykeā matter hen fact, skorkydoso bē nyke show ao skoro syt nyke called se thunder dancing zaldrīzes."  ("Do not worry youngling the lighting will not hurt you as long as I am here. As a matter of fact, how about I show you why I am called the Thunder Dancing Dragon.")

Züęš then positions himself amongst the cloud-forming lighting. Some of the lighting started to again form all around him and the blue design started to glow. The lighting went around Aurora as it never touched her skin. Züęš was then surrounded by a ball of lightning and quickly he yelled, "ōregon va!!!"  ("HOLD ON!!")

Then as if on quick instinct, Aurora grasped around his neck more tightly than before. Züęš begins to speed up his wings tuck down and wherever the lighting strikes Züęš lands on it allows him to speed much faster. Aurora peeks her eyes open astonished at how swiftly he moves in the storm as if he was dancing in it. Slowly the storm was settling and Züęš made his way down to the ground a few feet away from the mansion. He lowers his neck again to the ground, allowing Aurora to slide down. Aurora pats down her dress as Züęš maintains eye level with her.

"Kirimvose, hāeda hatchling. Nyke dōrī would emagon thought nyke would jiōragon naejot sōvegon arlī nykeā mirre jiōragon hen."  ("Thank you, young hatchling. I never would have thought I would get to fly again or ever get out of the cage.")

Aurora nods happily and smiles at him, 'ao sagon!'  ('You're welcome!') They close their eyes as their heads touch each other. When they both opened them Züęš and Aurora's eyes were glowing in the golden iris. They pull away and Züęš tells her knowingly, "nyke emagon nykeā feeling īlon nykeā īlva kin jāhor ūndegon each tolie arlī isse se." ("I have a feeling we or our kin will see each other again in the future.") He then moves away a few feet, giving one last look of appreciation before taking flight. Aurora watches as Oogway surrounds himself in lightning and disappears in it saying in her head, 'Merci Züęš de m'avoir aidé à comprendre le goût de la liberté.'  ('Thank you Züęš for helping me understand what freedom tastes like.')
