Chapter 2
The next morning…
"Ugh… I shouldn't have had that much! My body physically aches and my head is about to explode!" Dorcas shouted.
"Well, I can't speak for the latter.. but the former had nothing to do with the drinks last night!" Marlene supplied, winking at her.
"I'll whack you on the head! And how the fuck are you so steady?!"
"I didn't have that much, really.."
"Uhm.." Dorcas gulped. " So.. so you were almost sober.. that's.. that's good…"
"Yeah it is, I'm sure."
"And.. and you don't regret anything.. right?"
"Dorcs, I just told you I was mostly sober. If anything, I should ask you that question."
"Well, I don't."
"Good."
"Hey guys, I understand that this is really sweet and shit.. but could you just shut the fuck up!" Sirius shouted at them, lying on the floor facing them, his one arm and a leg wrapped around Remus from behind, his face against the back of his neck.
"What the fuck?!" Dorcas shouted. "How come I didn't notice that you two were here - wait a sec, what in the actual fuck?! Everyone's here!"
"Heyyy guys -"
"Shh! Frank! I'm trying to bloody sleep here!"
"Sorry, babe.. but we're.. we're not alone.." He whispered to Alice, who surprisingly seemed like she'd already gone back to sleep.
"Hey Frank!" Remus responded from within Sirius' arms, his eyes closed.
"H-hey.. hey Rem." Frank coughed once and hid behind Alice, hugging her tightly.
"Aww, that's so sweet between ex-boyfriends, Moon.." Sirius whispered to Remus from behind.
"Hey, Si! Good sleep?" Marlene offered, stifling a laugh.
Sirius stiffened behind Remus and fisted his shirt in the front. "I'm…I'm good Marls.. how are you?"
Marlene laughed loudly. "I asked - Good sleep?"
"No better than you two idiots, I guess." Remus responded with his eyes shut, a smirk on his lips.
"Yeah, fair enough." She smirked back and turned around.
Sirius hugged Remus tightly and snuggled all the way closer to him, fisting his front collar from behind, breathing warmly on the nape of his neck, before placing a soft kiss there, while Remus just sighed comfortably and held his hand, and entangled their fingers together.
The entire place fell dead silent, except for everyone's soft breathing, a few even and a few - not so much.
It was safe to say that the whole room was weirdly tense for different reasons.
After a while, they all heard loud footsteps descending down the stairs, from the dorm to the common room.
And every single head snapped up from their respective positions and turned around quickly.
"So.. This is gonna be painfully awkward for a while…" James muttered silently to Lily on his side.
"I know!" Lily chuckled, winding her arm around his and stepping further down with him. "But believe me, after all these years, this is nothing we can't get used to."
