Hogwarts
Scorpius was angry, all the time. Especially leading up to his Hogwarts days. He wasn’t even that excited for his Hogwarts letter to arrive. Draco tried hyping it up, and Lily complained that she wished she was going. She was slowly becoming like a sister to Scorpius. Even then, Scorpius just felt numb. He listened to his cousin talk about the excitement. That actually helped him a bit, and Albus talking about getting wands did more to help Scorpius’ mood. Albus and Fred joined him in shopping, George, Draco, Blaise and Angelina took the boys out. Scorpiius gravitated to George some, but once he heard some little twit say something about Scorpius not having his mum around. He rounded on the kid and socked him in the jaw. That was the first time Scorpius got into a fight.
Despite the rough summer prior to Hogwarts, and the bruised knuckles, Scorpius’ spirits were lifted on the Hogwarts express. He sat with his boys, Teddy and Victoire. They were talking about the sorting ceremony. Teddy was in his yellow and black robes, hyping it up. “I mean, Slytherin is the smallest house, but like, they’re pretty nice. Oh! Also I hear The Viktor Krum has a kid that’s starting Hogwarts.”
“Viktor Krum? Like the Quidditch player? Like the Bulgarian Seeker? Oh my god.” Scorpius gushed.
Albus smiled a bit, seeing Scorpius’ eagerness. “He better be a Slytherin. He’d be in the best house and we’d have the best Slytherin team. The best beater and a seeker prodege.” He encouraged.
Fred laughed, “he should totally be a Gryffindor. Lions are better than snakes.” He hummed and winked.
Victoire shook her head, “Oh don’t overwhelm him.”
Teddy shrugged, “I’m just relaying what I’ve heard.” He commented.
Scorpius shrugged, “So obviously all of you are jealous that Slytherin will totally win an amazing Quidditch player.”
And Slytherin did win. When Neville was leading the sorting ceremony, he called a name that caused Scorpius to get very excited.
“Luka Krum.”
The boy walked up to the hat, and it quickly deemed Slytherin.
Then Scorpius was called up, “Scorpius Malfoy-Weasley.” He was put in Slytherin as fast as Draco was years prior.
The next name had Luka’s attention though: “Damien Pajack.” but this boy sat with the hat on for minutes. It was a real hat stall.
Luka glanced to Scorpius, “That’s my best friend. He better be a Slytherin.” His voice was gruff for an eleven year old.
“Hufflepuff!” The hat called.
Damien froze, eyes widening. He slowly rose to his feet and slunk towards where the Hufflepuffs were excitedly welcoming their new student. Teddy actually tried talking to bim, but just got a half-hearted shrug.
“Victoire Weasley.”
“She’s pretty.” Luka commented.
Scorpius shrugged, “Eh. She's my cousin.” He commented.
Luka raised an eyebrow, “Are all the girls in your family pretty?” He said slowly.
Scorpius shrugged, “I mean, I guess? I dunno. My mate, Teddy fancies Victoire, but I kinda have a little sister, our parents are always saying she’s pretty. Some guy whistled at her the other day.”
Luka looked over, “when does she start Hogwarts?”
Scorpius shrugged, “Next year.” He commented.
“Ravenclaw!” The hat called, sending the blonde girl to the blue and bronze table.
“Albus Zabini!” Neville called.
“Slytherin!” The hat quickly called, sending Albus to his best friend.
That year was rather uneventful. Every time Hufflepuff had to have a class with Slytherin, Damien and Luka were next to one another, whispering in another language. Scorpius didn’t understand what they were saying, but he had Albus. They had Fred in some classes too; however, the year was rather uneventful. The eventful part of second year? Scorpius made Slytherin’s quidditch team as the beater, and Luka was the new seeker. Fred was Gryffindor’s new beater. Lily and James were sorted into Gryffindor. Roxie and Rose were also Gryffindors. The year went by in a blur, but the next summer is when things changed.
Throughout Scorpius’ absence, then the twins and Scorpius’ absence, Draco and Harry had a lot of time together. Alone. Draco and Harry bonded, and a relationship bloomed. It started with gentle touches, quiet nights with wine. Falling asleep in the same bed. Harry having dinner ready for Draco when he got off work. The pair had been growing close, then one quiet night, they kissed. They kept their growing feelings on the down low. Only the other knew how they felt, until Remus figured it out. Then George figured it out. He told Draco, “It’s alright. Fred would want you to be happy. If you like him, go for it. You both deserve to be happy.”
Scorpius, Lily and James returned home that summer. “Papa!” Lily yelled, running downstairs in her pajamas. “Papa-” She froze when she saw Draco and Harry kissing. “Okay gross, don’t want to see that.” She complained, “congrats though.”
Draco was just kind of frozen before he pulled away from Harry completely. “Do you need something, dear?” He asked.
Lily looked at the adults. “I’m bleeding.” She said simply.
Harry paused, “Where are you bleeding, sweetheart?” He asked gently.
Lily got quiet, “I got blood on my pajama shorts… and my bedsheets.” She looked down at her socked feet. “They’re in my hamper.”
Draco paused, “Lily, has anyone spoke to you about puberty?”
Lily paused, “I dunno… not really… just that Teddy said that’s why his voice is deeper…”
Harry just looked kind of horrified for a moment. “I’m gonna go buy you some pads, Lily… and chocolate.”
Lily tilted her head, “Why?”
Then Draco explained what was happening. He told her about periods and, very awkwardly, how her boobs would grow. Harry returned fairly quickly, Luna appearing with him when he came back. Lily just kind of let her mum take care of her. So not fair that she has to bleed every month and her brothers don’t. So not fair. At least when Lily started developing, her mum took her bra shopping. Harry and Draco would have been completely lost.
Of course, that was summers ago. Lily’s entering into her fourth year, and she was already very pretty. She also was Gryffindor’s quidditch star. No surprise there. She was also a teenager and could be a bit moody. There were only a few times Lily and Scorpius weren’t arguing. And that was band rehearsal, and when Scorpius let her smoke with the boys. Scorpius picked up smoking weed from Luka, it was fun, and it mellowed Scorpius out… well until Draco and Harry officially announced their relationship. Scorpius avoided Harry like the plague, or yelled at him. That’s why Lily and Scorpius bickered often. Scorpius would insult Harry, and she’d defend him. There was never a moment of peace in the house that summer. Hell, even Victoire stopped liking being there.
Of course, the Hogwarts express was a welcome sign. Lily got on the train with Victoire, “I have makeup in my backpack. Teddy took me to that muggle mall last week, I also got the makeup you’ve been wanting.”
“I could literally kiss you, Lily.” Victoire laughed. She ended up getting big time grounded for helping Dominque make her strawberry blonde hair a more platinum color and dying her own hair a blue that matches Teddy’s hair. Teddy and Victoire started dating the year prior, but Bill thought Teddy was a bad influence. He thought Teddy just wanted sex. That was the furthest thing from the truth. Teddy just adored Victoire, pampered her. He also wanted to wait for marriage, even if he is convinced he’s going to marry his amazing girlfriend.
Lily laughed, “That would make Ted jealous.” She joked as they got their own compartment. She set the bag down, “Now we gotta get through this before the prefects meeting.” She reminded. Both girls were prefects. “Still, I don’t get why your dad won’t let you dress how you want. He doesn’t care what Louis does.”
Victoire shrugged, “He gets upset when Dom’s skirts are too short. She makes her own clothes. He’s just never happy. Besides, he thinks Teddy does drugs or some shit.” She said as she let Lily start on her makeup.
“But he talks up Scorpius, I assume? He’s become such an asshole. He was only alright if he was stoned. It’s like he blames dad for Fred’s death or something.” She commented.
Teddy just so happened to walk into the compartment with Dominique. “Oh Lily, I have good news.” He hummed.
Lily didn’t look over as she did Victoire’s eyeliner. “And what’s that?”
“I think Luka’s going to ask you out. He was asking Fred if he was your boyfriend or something, but Damien didn’t seem happy.”
Dom looked over, “He doesn’t like Luka.” She pointed out. “He tolerates him, that's what Milos told me…” Milos is Dom’s crush. They’re both Ravenclaws, in the same year. He’s Damien’s little brother.
Teddy shrugged, “No harm in going on a date, unless you were gonna date that Kate girl.” He commented as he scooted over in the seat when Milos knocked and asked to sit with Dominique.
“Hi Milos.” Lily and Victoire both hummed out before Lily looked at Teddy. “I’d never date her. I may be bi but Kate is literally the last girl I’d date.”
“She treated Fred terribly.” Victoire reiterated as she looked at her makeup. The two girls readjusted and faced the other three.
“God I know.” Teddy shook his head.
“Let’s not forget the fact that, like, I layed off Fred a bit. I mean, I was touchy with him, we’d cuddle and shit, but like, he got a girlfriend and I backed off. Then she told him he couldn’t talk to me. Not really possible when we play quidditch together and he’s my step-brother's best friend.”
“Who’s your step brother's best friend?” Fred asked as he joined their compartment.
“Where’s Scorp and Al?” Lily asked.
“Probably fucking in what was our compartment.” Fred huffed.
“Where’s James?” Teddy asked.
“He asked Neville if he could take him to Hogwarts early.” Lily reminded. “Besides, since he’s become friends with Damien, Luka’s been looking at him weird. I mean Luka’s hot, don't get me wrong. But he may just be protective of his friend.”
Fred made a face, “He is not hot. Plus you’re way better at quidditch, Lilyflower.” He teased.
Of course, that was only the start. At least when school started again, Lily and Scorpius were cool again, especially since their band was going to perform at the first Gryffindor party of the year. Halloween night. All houses invited. Their band got a lot of love before they joined the party.
Scorpius was already stoned, so he joined the quidditch boys having a drinking competition. Teddy just decided to go hang out with Victoire on the stairs. Teddy was staying relatively sober, especially since his girlfriend and her little sister were drinking. A lot. But like Fred, who was hovering by the wall, watching Luka flirt with Lily, Damien was on the other side of the common room watching the same scene. It started with Lily dancing, chugging her drink when Luka came up behind her. They were flirting, and Lily seemed oh so interested. Especially when Luka went to bring her a new drink. Before Luka could make it over again, Damien had punched Luka. Lily stared in confusion before going to the drink table and getting one herself. She stumbled through people, finding Fred “d’ya know why Damien punched Luka?” She asked. The last thing she remembered from that night.
No one learned why Damien punched Luka till a few days later. Damien told her if she ever felt unsafe to tell him or Milos. When prompted, Damien somewhat explained. Luka’s a creep, that’s really it. He just wants an easy shag. Well one way to kill a girl’s ego. That’s why she’s up in Fred’s dorm talking to James and Fred about it.
“I just- I don’t get it.” She complained.
James sighed, “Krum probably slipped something into the drink. Damien’s not a bad guy… I’ve actually talked to dad and Draco…”
“About what?” Lily said slowly.
James hesitated, “They’re staying with us till Damien graduates at least. Damien wrote a letter to dad apologizing on behalf of Luka, explaining Luka just tries to use girls for a quick fuck or something. Promised dad he’d keep an eye out for you and the other girls.”
Fred paused, “Why the hell do none of us know? How do you know?” He said as he moved to sit beside Lily, wrapping an arm around her. Fred has a huge crush on her.
James sighed, “Damien told me, Milos also probably told Dom. Teddy and Victoire know, they asked Damien about it…”
Lily huffed, “You should have told me-how does Scorp not know?”
James shrugged while Fred spoke, “Cause Scorp is too busy trying to break Harry and Draco up.”
Well, Scorp’s plan wasn’t working because Harry and Draco got engaged that Halloween. Lily was ecstatic, until she was wondering about a wedding date. James had shyly asked Damien, Dom was going to ask Milos. Teddy had already asked his girlfriend, even if they were both invited. Fred offered to be Lily’s date, but she didn’t want a pity date. Of course, it wasn’t a pity date, he was trying to shoot his shot.
However, at least the rest of the year was uneventful. Teddy graduated which was great for him. He was about to intern to be a magical tattoo artist. He was also going to help keep Sirius in check because Sirius wants to help with the wedding, which will be in the following December.
Oh, the wedding. Would it be a Malfoy-Potter wedding without chaos? Of course not…
