A Very Potter-Malfoy Wedding

A Potter-Malfoy wedding can’t be anything less than perfect, of course. Despite Draco’s meticulous planning, there were still teenagers, specifically teenagers in the wedding parties. Draco had Scorpius as one of his groomsmen, and Harry had the twins as his own groomsmen, and woman. Draco was fretting over every detail. Green and gold were the colors, green because Draco loved the color and thought Harry looked dashing in it, and gold because Harry felt gold would be more elegant and less-Slytherin, but Draco liked the idea of gold as an honor to Fred.
Lily stood on the stand of Draco’s seamstress he hired to make adjustments to her dress. Lily typically wore darker colors, and if she wore dresses, they were made by Dominique who made dresses for fun, so Lily was not accustomed to dress fittings. She looked at herself in the mirror. It was a slim fitting forest green dress, off one shoulder. Her curves, and quidditch muscles, were quite obvious. She also had a nice slit in the dress. She liked it, if only she could use it for some kind of ball. She turned to Draco who went with Lily, Pansy, Luna and Hermione to the fittings. Hermione, Lily, James Sirius and Luna were a part of Harry’s wedding party with Ron being the best man. George is Draco’s best man; however, Pansy, Scorpius, Regulus and Theo were in his wedding party. Of course, Draco was very picky about everything.
“You ladies look amazing, no more alterations are necessary except the shoes.” Draco commented.
Lily paused and knelt down, grabbing a box, “Dad took us shoe shopping, we found these heels.” She pulled out gold, glittery heels and slid them on. She offered a smile, “I have gold hoops, small ones, I can wear, and Scorp promised to get me some kind of necklace.”
Draco looked at the shoes, “Those work, just, at least keep those on for pictures and the ceremony.” He pointed out.
Scorpius poked his head in the room, “Hey, dad,” He paused, “lookin good, Lils, you may be able to get a boyfriend dressed like that.” He teased as if he was unaware of Fred’s crush on Lily.
“Screw off.” Lily commented, noticing Scorpius was in the dress robes Draco’s wedding party was doing. The ladies all had the same gowns, but Draco’s wedding party’s robes were black with gold and green accents. Lily realized both wedding parties were dressed the same, Draco and Harry’s dress robes were different.
Scorpius shrugged, “Number one, Harry had to step away from looking at our dress robes. Number two, the vinyard called asking if you and Harry wanted to do a tasting tomorrow. Number three, the baker can’t make the cake anymore, but Fred can. He would just need a reference pic and to borrow our kitchen.”
Draco froze, “Okay… your robes need to be slightly more fitted, I’ll come look at the rest in a moment. Number two, yes we do, I’ll tell Harry later. Three, what the fuck? Why’d they pull out?” He huffed.
Lily frowned as she walked over, “Fred is an amazing baker. If he needs help, I can always decorate or something.” She commented as she looked at the blondes.
“Call Fred over, I’ll give him a chance. He can use our kitchen, I don’t mind, but I want to taste test.”
Scorpius nodded, stepping out of the room to call his best friend. Fred was happy to agree, and to have Lily’s help. He’s been interested in Lily for a while, so it works out. He ended up taking his floo to the Potter-Malfoy's, seeing Draco on the phone with a makeup artist for the wedding. Fred watched as Harry ran a hand down Draco’s back. He flashed Fred a small smile as Draco explained the deal of the people he’d need getting their makeup done. As he spoke, Lily walked downstairs in just a sports bra and her joggers. She offered Fred a smile as she sort of got Harry’s attention.
“Teddy is going to take Damien and Milos with him and his dads to get dress robes.” She informed him with a smile. “Oh, also can the whole group spend the night?” She asked with a smile.
Harry nodded, “I’ll give Teddy the money. I like those boys. Damien’s very respectful, and he’s gotten James to be a bit more social with everyone.” He commented. “Of course, just don’t cause too much of a ruckus. Draco’s stressed enough.”
“The wedding isn’t till January.” She reminded, shaking her head. “Besides, Dominique has made her and Victoire’s dresses and wants to show me-”
“Lily, do they want to get their makeup done with you, Luna, Hermione and Pansy? Rose is going to get hers done. And what about Roxie?” Draco interrupted quickly.
“If they could.” Lily said with a smile. Draco walked away to finish his phone call, adding the three girls.
Harry shook his head, “And you know the rules.”
“No co-ed bed arrangments and condoms are in the bathrooms, but you’d rather us not.”
Harry offered his daughter a smile and kissed her head. He then looked to Fred, “Draco wants you to do wedding cake samples for us. You can use our kitchen. Buy any ingredients with our credit card.” He told the teenager. “And you got your dress robes, correct? Draco is already stressed enough.” He had a slight pout about his lover being stressed.
Fred gave a thumbs up, “Sounds great.” He laughed, “Yeah, dad brought me with him when Draco was getting ready to have his suit picked out. My robes should be ready to be picked up in a week or so.”
Harry let out a breath of relief then pulled out his credit card. “Give that to Lily when you’re done. Also, Lily order takeout tonight.” He shook his head, “You don’t have to make the cakes today, Fred. Just within the week.”
“Don’t worry, Freddy, I’ll help you.” Lily commented as Fred took the credit card. Magical credit cards will turn galleons into muggle money when needed. It’s so convenient.
Later that evening, after Fred and Lily went on a grocery run to get ingredients and the other boys went shopping for dress robes, the kids were all in the basement. Dominique and Victoire had shown Lily their dresses for the grand Potter-Malfoy wedding then Dominique went to talk to Milos. The pair were officially going to be each others dates for the wedding, which helped because the pair were infatuated with each other; Damien and James had quietly agreed to be each other’s dates. That couple was sweet, they were both gentle with each other and saved intimate moments for privacy aside from gentle grazes of the hand, or loving looks. Their relationship was similar to Teddy and Victoire, except they were a bit more touchy with one another, but they have yet to shag. Teddy just wanted to wait to make the moment special.
Aside from Milos, Damien, James and Albus, there was a band rehearsal going on. They had a gig at a local muggle pub in two weeks and wanted to be ready. They were more than ready, but no harm in practicing.
“You don't have to be like everybody else
You don't have to fit into the norm
You are not here to conform
I am here to take a look inside myself
Recognize that I could be the eye, the eye of the storm
I am not my body, not my mind or my brain (ha)
Not my thoughts or feelings, I am not my DNA
I am the observer, I'm a witness of life
I live in the space between the stars and the sky”
They had just finished doing a cover of one of Lily’s favorite songs, plus Dominique, Lily and Victoire do Ancient Dreams in a Modern Land so much justice. Plus, Lily just likes having a bit of feminine flair sometimes, being around her boys constantly. Teddy set his guitar down to grab some water after the song. He looked to his lovely girlfriend, who had just dyed her hair a wonderful blue. Dom had just made hers more platinum, but Teddy could only focus on how lovely his girlfriend looked… and another question in his mind:
“Have you guys ever thought about time travel? Like, I dunno, sometimes I think it’d be cool to see our parents young.” Teddy commented.
Scorpius shrugged, “A lot of times I have. Maybe if I could dad, or my mum, could still be around…” his mum had passed on a few years prior.
Albus frowned, walking closer to hug his boyfriend from behind. Scorpius hadn’t stood from his drumset. “Hey, baby, it’s alright.” He murmured in his ear, kissing his cheek.
Lily shook her head, “I’d like to go back in time and see what made Bill so overprotective and dislike Teddy.” She tried joking to keep the energy a bit lighter.
Victoire laughed, “He thinks Ted is a bad influence. He Thinks I’m gonna be on sixteen and pregnant.” She joked as she went over to her boyfriend, watching as Dominique went to Milos, who was whispering to her. She smiled a bit as she watched her sister get all flustered and giggly. “But why do you bring this up, love?”
“Well first off, the song we just did mentioned going back to a time before ‘I’ was born, so it got me thinking. Haven’t you guys noticed that Draco gets a bit tense whenever Mrs. Hermione mentions how she time traveled to take every available class her third year?”
Fred paused, “He does, I asked dad about it once. Dad just said Draco’s been a bit fidgety since Uncle Fred passed.”
Teddy nodded, “So like, what if he had time traveled or something? Maybe he saw something he wasn’t meant to see?” He tried. “Besides, I kind of want to see my dads’ pranks from their Hogwarts days in action, or even my mums.”
Lily thought for a moment, “That sounds really cool, actually.” She realized.
That would spark a whirlwind of events; however, these teenagers had no time to dwell. Not when there was a wedding coming up. Not when there was so much going on, with Teddy starting an internship at a magical tattoo parlor, the rest of the group returning to Hogwarts in the fall. It was just too busy.
Even the day of the wedding was rather hectic. Draco was trying to make sure everything was perfect. George had sent Angelina to help the caterers set up, directing them to the wonderful cake that Fred and Lily had made just for the wedding. Regulus and Narcissa decided to handle the decorations so that Draco could relax some. Then there were the pictures. They all ended up wonderful. Big smiles all around, even if Scorpius still was not too pleased.
Even the ceremony went off without a hitch. The vows mentioned their kids, blending their families. Draco even did something special for the twins, giving them small lockets, promising he’d be a good bonus-dad. Harry did the same for Scorpius, but instead of a locket, gave Scorpius some nice earrings since that’s the only jewelry he wears. The reception was when things became a bit hectic.
The teenagers were drinking, of course, Scorpius getting absolutely wasted, keeping his hips on Albus’ while they danced. Teddy, who was a way more sober, was twirling Victoire around as they laughed. Dominique and Milos were being gushed over by Fleur. James and Damien sat on the side, watching the others make fools of themselves.
Then there was Fred and Lily. Fred had finally gotten the courage to ask her on a date a few months prior. Their relationship was new, but it’s so obvious to everyone that they will end up together. Lily and Fred were whispering together sweetly, also pretending to be innocent even though they slipped a few U-No-Poos into random places on the dessert table. Those who knew what they were, steered away, but there were some who were unfamiliar with the shop’s inventory. This couple was certainly going to cause trouble, especially since they were sharing a bed every sleepover long before they were a couple. Things would only progress faster. Of course, even with their harmless prank, trouble was still brewing. Scorpius was only drunk and distracted, but when they returned home… well…
“Fuck you!” Scorpius slurred at Harry, stumbling back as Albus tried dragging Scorpius to bed downstairs. “I didn’t want you here in the first place! I was just friends with Lily,” he complained, “You can’t just waltz in and replace my dad! I’ll never call you dad!” Draco hadn’t heard this. Draco was up in his and Harry’s room, ensuring they were packed for their honeymoon… and he was waiting for Harry to consummate their marriage.
Harry frowned, “I never wanted to replace Fred. I only moved in to help your dad.” Harry said before Scorpius was dragged off by an annoyed Albus. All of the other kids were already in their designated sleepover spots. Only Harry, Scorpius and Albus knew, but Harry couldn’t ruin Draco’s evening. Everything was perfect… except Scorpius despises Harry with a passion. Harry sighed and went to the kitchen and got himself a quick shot of firewhiskey before disappearing upstairs to go and give Draco the best night.
Even with Teddy in his unofficial room with his girlfriend, passing out rather quickly, Dominique and Milos going further than they had before, James and Damien setting up a movie, and Fred and Lily… well they were finally having the big first, Albus and Scorpius had a less blissful night. Scorpius just sobbed, for the first time in a while. He didn’t like that Draco moved on. He was jealous he didn’t have two parents, the ones that raised him. What made Fred and Lily so lucky that they got their mum, dad and two bonus dads. It wasn’t fair. It would never be fair… at least Scorpius has Albus. And a future Quidditch career. He’d never have to see Harry again?
But then again… Teddy mentioned time travel. Maybe, just maybe, he could go back in time and make sure Fred apparates out of Weasleys’ Wizards Wheezes. It just might work.
