As the notification window disappears A White Bear the size of a 3 story building spawns in the middle of the quadrangle and roars, emitting a deafening sound.
I quickly throw myself to the ground, crouching behind the railings. I peek my eyes up to look at the bear and analyze how I can supposedly kill that thing. As I was studying the creature I saw the texts appear infront of my eyes once more.
[As the incarnation ■■■■ studies the Baloo-Bear she quickly spots some weak spots of the bear]
[The incarnation ■■■■ spots that the bear has scars all over his body and both his eyes have been gouged out leaving for only the black hollowed sockets]
[She studies the bear more as she finally notices that behind it's thick fur his belly is incredibly susceptible to huge and fatal damage]
[ You have unlocked 'Surveying Lv. 1' ]
I stare startled as my eyes quickly dart around the bears body seemingly processing everything that I can see.
I look around to see if I could make use of anything as a makeshift weapon or anything of the sort. When I finally saw some peices of sturdy steel lying around.
'Talk about luck!'
I enthusiastically whisper to myself. I quickly and as quietly as I can, crawl towards the steel bars and grab one as gently as I can as to not make too much noise. I managed to successfully grab it silently and return to crouching behind the railings and try to think up a plan on how Im supposed get close enough to the bear without getting myself killed first.
'Um.. mysterious text?? Can you come back now??'
I whisper to the air looking around nervously. I really need some kinda miracle to survive this world hahahah...
Just as I was muttering to myself the scream of students rang in my ear followed by a roar from the bear and strings of curses as the two girls ran for the stairs.
As the Baloo-Bear diverts his attention to the screaming, students I look over the railing to find people; survivors from the fist scenario have ran out from the classrooms and have also started screaming. With the sounds of multiple people panicking and screaming for help at the top of their lungs, the Bear seemed to be disoriented due to its sensitive hearing.
I look down at the bear and at the height that I'm at.
Hmmm I'm all the way at the fourth floor so I'd surely die if I jumped down. Buuuutt If the bear we're to break my fall.... I'd take less body damage. Right?.. I mean, This is a Novel so?.. worse case scenario, I die an awesome death.
A few students running towards the stairs pass me and yell at me to get out the way, but before they themselves can, A giant paw crushed their body. I gasp loudly at it and quickly cover my mouth. The paw retreats leaving a gorey scene in its wake, much more.. The stairwell down from this side is completely ruined. Guess there's no other options...
I stand up from where I was crouching and take steps back getting a running head start. I take a deep breath, grip the steel bar on my right hand tightly and start running as fast as i can gaining momentum. The bear is facing the opposite of me so theoretically... I can maybe make it. Right?
I hold my breath as I jump pushing myself off my feet and take the steel bar and grip it tightly with both hands, the end facing towards the bear.
As the steel bar makes contact with the bear's flesh, it pierces through making a squelchy sound. Upon peircing the flesh of the monster, eliciting a half punched out pained scream.
The bear spins around, roaring loudly and clawing into its own flesh im hopes to reach me as I swing sround holding on for dear life, I can feel my hands blistering from how tightly my grip is. From all the swinging the steel bar tears down the flesh of the bear.
As I slide down along with the steel bar it suddenly stops and I can feel the bar loosen from where it was pierced. With a strong turn from the bear, the bar finally lodges off taking me with it. Thankfully, I was low enough so that my bones wouldn't break upon impact but still, as I it the ground, I try to quickly stand back up but my legs give out on the first attempt.
The bear's roar is even more angry sounding than before and with that I push myself off the ground using the bar as a leverage. I quickly limp behind a wall; my legs immediately giving out and i groan in pain, my hand covers my mouth as to not make any loud sounds but the sounds of my rapid breathes and heartbeat ring in my ears.
[The incarnation ■■■■ suddenly remembers that she can level up her skills]
I stare at the text that lays infront of me and groan to myself for my own stupidity.
'Thank you floating text'
I quickly pull up my attribute window taking long deep breathes. Pushing myself up higher against the wall and right on cue the window finally loads and I quickly scroll to upgrade my stats when I see I've already gained some special skills like 'Weapon Proficiency' which is incredibly handy and 'Surveying'.
I also noticed a weird skill that was just completely censored. 'Does censorship even still apply for me??' I click on the skill but all it said that the skill has no description i wondered for a while, rethinking the entirety of the Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint story including the epilogue and don't recall a skill quite like this.
As I get sucked into my thoughts I was quickly yanked out when the bear's roar echoed loudly through the area in a deafening pitch and I covered my ears to muffle the sound. I genuinely think this might be where this whole thing ends but suddenly.
[The Roar is muffled in the ears of incarnation ■■■■ ]
The text. Again. I think to myself as I recall the fourth wall that Kim Dokja had. I look at the slowly fading text infront of me in wonder but quickly brush it off remembering my main task at hand.
In my stats I immediately level up the specific one's i need levelled in order to have a higher success rate.
