Ch. 3 — The Proof of Survival
Your heart is racing and your lungs are burning from all the running and dodging. Its fortunate that none of them really know how to aim.
I back up trying to find something to help my situation.
As a member of Kent's gang draws near me he cuts my cheek harshly and i scream in pain.
His friends let up and make way for him. Shit. This guys was really not stopping until he could jam that knife between my ribs huh. Suddenly I hear a loud thud and find Sam had slammed a book to his head.
I quickly run for it but Kents friends set their eyes for her. She quickly runs as his friends chase her. He quickly regains his composure and is still set on killing me.
I hurriedly grab the first one I see and as he charges towards me I stand still and just as he was a few inches away I throw myself to the side. As his face collides with the table, he falls down on the floor keeling.
"FUCK YOU BITCH"
He yells angrily but without wasting another second I jab the Scissors to his back and twist it with every peice of strength I can muster up. His screams of pain fill my ears accompanied by the sound of the scissors making contact with his flesh again and again and again.

Blood paints my face and arm red. After stabbing him in the back for who knows how many times, I finally stop and the room has gone quiet. Everyone, even Kent's friends have stopped in their tracks and stared at me.
[ 1 Minute Left ]
His friends stare at me stunned, I stand up from his back and damn do I feel incredibly fucking disgusting.
I look at his friends and look down to his body and to my hands. My body is shaking in its entirety, i drop the scissors on the floor and drop to my knees as I stare at his body wide eyed.
I internally cuss myself out and I didn't even notice that tears we're flowing out my eyes.
'H- He deserved that... He was trying to kill me for fucks sake! I- It was self defense!'
My mind was racing, I didn't know what to do anymore. It feels so overwhelming. The time ticked down and everything was ringing around me.
Time counted down to 5... then 4... then 3... then 2... and finally. 1
As the clock struck zero I could hear the sound of flesh exploding. I looked up and saw that the room was covered in blood. Everywhere my eyes landed on, there was so much blood.

As the Blue screen illuminated my face I read through the messages. They made me sick. They made me want to throw up.
From the side of me I saw that only a few people from Kents gang was left along with me. We looked at eachother and they were also shaking from what they had just witnessed. I took a deep breathe and walked towards the door. This time it opened.
I walked towards the door and stepped outside the classroom. I walked towards the girls bathroom and all through the way I was shaking.
I knew that this was only a story but... it felt too real to comprehend. everything is crazy. This is fucking crazy...
I reached the girls bathroom and I was suddenly hyper aware of the smell of iron and the feeling of drying blood on my face, my knees buckled and it seemed that I couldn't hold myself up anymore. I grabbed hold of the sink to keep myself up and tears unknowingky started flowing from my eyes.
I stayed in the bathroom cleaning myself up and when I finally came back out my face and body we're clean but my clothes we're still dirty. I tried to desperately remember somethings from the novel that could help me and I suddenly remembered that I could get loots and If I we're lucky enough I might be able to get some high level things. I started searching around the floor I was in, looking through the windows for anything that could be of use to me.
After looking through the first and second floor, I was now at the third floor when a notification screen appeared before me.
[An unknown pressence is looking at you.]

'Ah... well I guess the selection will start soon as viewers have already started sending indirect messages'
I think to myself before continuing my search. Alas to no avail there still wasn't any lootable chests in this floor.
'I guess the fourth floor will be my final chance... PLEASE LET THERE BE LOOT THERE!!'
I scream silently walking up the flight of stairs. Reaching this floor, I've already looked through atleast 8 classrooms and still nothing. Another notification screen appeared before me and I got an idea.
I quickly harnessed my acting skills hoping that these constellations are kind enough and would believe my act.
"Ahhh... I really can't believe this..."
I say sagging down a wall dramatically. Burrying my head into my hand.
"Aishhhh.. after losing my friend, seeing my classmates die before my eyes and having to fight for my luck how am I still gonna keep going..."
I say fake sniffling into my arms.
"I just wanna find some items so that I atleast have a chance at survival..."
I stand up and dejectly walk towards the next room to check for loot. When a notification screen lit my facs up.
'YES!'
I couldn't show it but I really was happy that someone was hopefully pitying me.

I quickly made my eyes water and noded meekly. All those acting from pretending infront of my parents to skip school and get away from trouble finally payed off hehe~

I looked at the texts appearing infront of me. It seems to be seperate from the star stream notifications. I'll deal with it later for now my goal is to survive.

When that notification popped up infront of me I quickly smiled towards the sky and thanked her.
