Chapter 7
A few minutes later the bell rang.
The kids happily went to recess. Dakota told Heather she would come later. Heather nodded. Nichelle and Julia left the classroom for the Wayne situation.
Dakota walked over to Sam.
"Hey Sam." Dakota greeted the gamer boy
"Hey Dakota," Sam greeted Dakota.
"I'm sorry you're not in music." Dakota sadly explained to Sam.
"Well, I'm not good at music, my drawing is better. Also... there are some people I can't be around for 2 classes..." Sam explained with fear.
"Am I one of those? I mean, people you don't want to be around?" Dakota asked worriedly.
"No, no. I just... I meant someone else. You're beautiful and you accept me for who I am. I like being around you. In fact, I came for you today." Sam admitted.
"Really?" Dakota asked, blushing slightly.
"Yeah, if you want to-" Before Sam could continue his sentence, someone stormed into the classroom.
"Can you believe what that bastard Lightning did to me?!" Jo stormed in with great anger and rage.
"Joo! What happened?" Dakota asked her friend what happened.
"Brightning tried to kiss me by force! He cornered me and tried to have sex with me! I've never seen a pig as horny as him in my life! This is why I don't like jock guys!" Jo explained angrily.
"Is Mike included in this?" Dakota asked.
"I don't know, but I'm really angry right now!" Jo replied angrily.
"Jo, can we go to the bathroom together and talk? You can wash up and talk to me. We're friends, right?" Dakota asked Jo.
"Okay, but I want to punch that Brightning in the face so bad that I'll make her regret being born!" Jo explained angrily.
"Okay, we're definitely going to the bathroom. Come on, Jo." Dakota said as she held Jo's hand.
The two girls left the classroom. Sam sighed. She decided to play a video game to cheer herself up.
Jo and Dakota went into the bathroom. Jo was washing her face. Dakota was checking if anyone was in the bathroom.
"Okay, it's clear. You can let your feelings out right now." Dakota told her friend.
Jo took a deep breath and... started to cry while hugging her friend. Jo wasn't someone who showed her feelings but sometimes she had a hard time keeping her feelings inside. She usually locked herself in her room at home and cried. She didn't want anyone to see her when she cried. Jo trusted Dakota. Dakota trusted Jo in the same way.
Jo was crying and getting comfortable while Dakota was comforting her by saying "it'll be okay."
Then there was a knock on the girls' bathroom door.
The two girls looked at each other. Jo wiped her tears and pretended to wash her face.
"Who is it?" Dakota asked.
"It's me, Brick." Brick said.
"Should I let her in?" Dakota asked her friend.
"Well, since there's no other girls here, I guess you can take him." Jo shrugged.
"Okay then, come on in, Brick." Dakota said as she opened the door for the man.
When Dakota opened the door, she saw that Brick had punches and bruises on his face. One of his eyes was black. Both girls looked at the man in shock.
"Brickkk!" Jo hugged Brick.
"Who did this to you?" Dakota asked.
"If I find who did this, I'll make him regret being born!" Jo said as she threatened whoever did this to Brick.
"Well, I saw you with Lightning in a bad way. Lightning was bothering you. After you left, I confronted him and we started fighting. We both got hurt a lot, but... it was worth it." Brick said.
Jo blushed. It was the first time someone was fighting for him. She never thought Brick would do this.
"So was there any punishment for this?" Dakota asked.
"Well, Lightning I think he might get suspended, but they only gave me a warning. So it's okay... I guess." Brick groaned into his sore arm.
"Brick... I'm sorry I got you into this. I don't usually apologize to people, but... why did you fight over me?" Jo asked.
"I can't stand seeing you upset, Jo. When I see you upset, it breaks my heart and makes me want to beat up the people who hurt you. This may sound wrong, but I don't want you to be upset." Brick explained to Jo.
"I think I know what would cheer you up." Jo said, and then kissed the man with a black eye.
"Awww!" Dakota looked at them in awe.
After the two finished kissing, Jo turned to the girl.
"This stays between us, Dak. You don't tell anyone about this. Especially not that bitch Heather." Jo said.
"Yeah. Don't even think about it, soldier." Brick agreed with Jo.
"Okay, okay, lovebirds. Your secret is safe with me." Dakota grinned at them.
The three of them left the bathroom. They walked into the classroom. Alejandro was surprised by Brick's condition.
"Are you okay, amigo?" Alejandro asked.
"I'm okay, very much so." Brick said, blushing slightly.
Alejandro smiled, understanding.
"I'm glad you're okay, amigo." Alejandro said.
"Thanks Alejandro." Brick thanked Alejandro.
"You're welcome, amigo." Alejandro said.
"Hey, has anyone seen Lightning?" Topher asked.
"I don't know where he is, but as long as he's not here, it's fine." Jo explained.
Topher shrugged. He didn't really care about Lightning anyway.
Dakota waited for Heather to arrive. When Heather arrived, she saw that he had gotten her and her own lattes.
"Thanks a lot, love!" Dakota thanked her best friend.
"It's nothing, love!" she said, handing her best friend her latte.
Julia and Nichelle arrived next.
Julia looked happy. She was even blushing. Nichelle was grinning.
"Ooooh, looks like someone took the kid!" Heather grinned at Julia.
Julia looked at Heather in surprise.
"Nothing. Wayne just gave me tickets to the game they're playing in. I'll get to watch him from the front row and cheer for him! I'm so, so excited!" Julia explained excitedly.
"Sorry about your avocado toast, Jules." Nichelle grinned at her friend and apologized to her.
"Stop it. Only Wayne can say that." Julia responded with a lover girl flirtation.
"Okay fine, princess." Nichelle continued to smirk.
Julia rolled her eyes playfully.
The rest of the day continued like this. Classes were good and Dakota got more time to talk to Sam. After the last class, everyone left. They sang their songs and left. After Heather said goodbye to her best friend, Dakota and Daisy got into the limo with her mom and dad and left.
Heather grinned. It was time to start her plan.
"You're done, nerd." Heather grinned devilishly.

Note: This was a short chapter because I had a short part to end on. We have a new ship! Jock! Lightning gets suspended and this happens during the first week of school. It's like a rated series. I remembered Daisy and Dakota's mom and dad are coming over on Friday. Also, I thought it was Wednesday but it wasn't. I'm talking for the sake of the story, otherwise I know it's Tuesday.
