Chapter 8
Sam was walking down the road with his bag on his back. He was happy. His day had been great. He had hung out with Dakota and... there were so many butterflies in his stomach. Was this what love felt like? Sam had never felt so happy. It was like watching a fun asmr video. Or like a pencil softly drawing.
Sam was humming a song to himself on the road. Heather saw Sam. The plan had begun. Now it was time to fake it.
"Hey Sam!" Heather called out to Sam.
When Sam looked back, he saw Heather. He was very scared.
Although Heather really enjoyed this fear, she managed to hide it with fake surprise.
"Don't be scared Sam. I wanted to talk to you about something important." Heather said innocently that she wanted to talk to Sam.
Sam stopped. She was listening to him right now. Heather took a deep breath. She had to do this to do her role well. Heather took a breath and said this.
"I want to apologize to you."
Sam was surprised. What happened to Heather? Was Sam dreaming? Or was Heather crushed?
"S-sorry? You? Me?" San stuttered to the queen bee.
"Yeah... I was jealous of how well you got along with Dakota and we talked about it. Also, I thought about my past actions. I shouldn't have done those things to you. I'm sorry." Heather apologized to Sam.
"Well... I guess it's okay... but don't do that again, okay?" Sam asked.
"Ohh, of course! I've learned my lesson now! You and I are going to be good friends from now on!" Heather hugged Sam with fake sympathy.
"Well, thank you for your apology. I really appreciate it. I just wanted you to know." Sam told the queen bee.
Heather smiled at the game-loving man with real sincerity in that moment.
"Well, if you're free today, I'd like to take a walk together. Would you like?" Heather asked.
"Sure, why not?" Sam shrugged and accepted the queen bee's offer.
"Hooray!" Heather hugged Sam once more with fake enthusiasm.
Sam smiled. I guess some friendships start with hatred, she thought.
Heather hugged Sam and then pulled back.
"Well, if you'll excuse me, I need to talk to someone. If you don't mind." Heather excused herself from Sam. As if she needed it, but for now she had to appear like a good friend.
"Sure. I'll wait for you here." Sam said with a thumbs up.
"Thanks, man!" Heather thanked Sam with fake enthusiasm. Then she ran to a tree a little further away and picked up her phone.
Heather called "Big Sister." It was someone she had hidden from Dakota.
After Heather called the person she was calling, the caller answered the phone.
"Be here in half an hour. Bring some of your friends. Let's have some fun." Heather grinned devilishly.
Sam was in big trouble...
On the other side, Dakota and her family were out shopping. They were having a great time. The girls were having a great time trying on shoes, mother and daughter. Dakota helped her father a lot while she was looking for a suit. Dakota was her daddy's girl, Daisy was her mama's girl. That's why there weren't many fights in the family. When she was little, there were jealousy-type fights, but this situation decreased as she grew up.
Dakota's father bought ice cream milkshakes for her family. They were all happily shopping. Daisy was walking near the bathroom when she saw a fat girl dressed in pink. She realized that it was one of her close friends, Sadie.
Daisy left them with permission from her family. Daisy quickly ran to Sadie.
"Hey Sadie." Daisy greeted the girl. Sadie didn't see Daisy because she was behind Sadie, but she recognized the voice.
"Hi Daisy...aaaaaahhhh!"
Sadie turned around and screamed.
"Daisy, what are you doing here?" Sadie definitely didn't expect to see her here. She was surprised to see her anyway. It was obvious that Sadie was doing something behind her back...
"We decided to go out with my family for a bit. It's been a long time since we spent time together. Besides, what are you doing here? Isn't Katie with you?" Daisy asked her friend.
"Katie went back home to study. I thought I'd go out for a bit." Sadie explained to her close friend.
"So whose black leather jacket is that?" Daisy asked.
"Well... That's for Katie. I bought her a leather jacket like this." Sadie giggled nervously.
"Sadie, that leather jacket is for men and it smells like men's perfume. It's also obvious that it's used it more than once." Daisy then paused and realized something.
"Wait a minute, are you..." Before Daisy could finish her sentence, a punk-looking guy came out of the bathroom.
"Sadie honey, I'm done." The guy told the girl.
Daisy was definitely shocked. Sadie and... whatever her name is, they... WERE TOGETHER?! She thought.
"You two...-?" Before Daisy could ask the question, the man answered.
"We're together, is there a problem?" The punk-looking man asked Daisy.
The man was good-looking. He had piercings in his eyebrows and nose. He was wearing a white T-shirt and black leather pants underneath. The shoes were the "..." brand.
"No, I just... Sadie never told me she was with anyone." Daisy explained to the punk boy.
"Well, we started dating during the summer. The story of how we met is a bit interesting but... we really like each other. How would we be together if we didn't, right?" Sadie asked with a joke at the end.
Duncan covered his mouth and laughed at his girlfriend's joke.
"That was good, Sadd!" Duncan told his girlfriend.
"Thanks to you, honey." Sadie answered with a slight blush.
"What grade is Duncan in?" Daisy asked.
"He's in the 11th grade. I'm in this high school because of him. I hadn't made my high school choices during the summer. When I met Duncan, I thought we should go to the same high school and now here we are. Also, Duncan is on the basketball team but in older classes." Sadie revealed some information about her boyfriend.
"Well... that's good. Nice to meet you then?" Daisy offered Duncan a handshake.
"Well, nice to meet you, I guess." Duncan shrugged and shook Daisy's hand.
"Okay, let's go to the movies. The movie we're going to starts in half an hour." Duncan said, holding his girlfriend's hand.
"I told you, I love him." Sadie grabbed her boyfriend's hand.
The two hugged each other. Sadie smelled Duncan's shirt, it smelled so good.
"Awww, that's the perfume I got you! I'm so glad you put it on!" Sadie told her boyfriend.
"Of course, you'll get it, but won't I? What am I crazy?" Duncan asked with a slight mockery, but then the two smiled and hugged each other.
Daisy left after saying goodbye to them. They had to have a double date with Mark.
Sadie and Duncan giggled and went up the automatic stairs.
Daisy returned to her family.
"Honey, where were you?" Daisy's mother asked.
"I saw a friend of mine. She and her boyfriend were so cute. They reminded me of Mark and me." Daisy explained.
"Aww, that's so cute." Dakota said imagining herself with Sam. She used to do this with Mike but she wanted it to be with Sam more.
On the other side, Sam was chatting with Heather. Heather was extremely bored with Sam's disgusting chatter. There was still no notification on her phone. She was going to kill him if that bitch didn't come. A few minutes later, a tanned girl came. She had hairspray in her hand. On the other side, there was a girl who was an athlete but had more masculine hair. On the other side, there was a girl who looked like a diva but didn't even smile on her face.
Heather backed them up.

Note: It was a short chapter. I managed to squeeze Dundie in :)) I wanted to make Heather's so-called friends dark skinned. That's why I chose the girls that came to mind but you didn't know in the story. At least you know one of them. Well, you'll see this in the next chapter but you'll understand from the tags. The Ao3 crew will understand this from there but the Fanfiction crew will have to wait for the new chapter. Or I'll write it tonight and reduce that waiting time LoL. Other than that, the episode went as planned. I'm happy about that. Dundie was really, really good to write. They're one of my favorite couples. I think they could be number 2. I don't know LoL.
