Sweet Dreams
April 21, 2025 at 03:35 AM
Usually when Shuri dreams about someone she loves, it’s a nightmare where they’re hurt, lost, killed. She has to wake up and check her security systems to make sure whoever she dreamed of is safe (unless it’s Baba, in which case all she can do is cry).
But the first time she dreams of the girl from the other side of the world, MJ isn’t in danger at all. She’s just smiling one of her rare sardonic smiles as they walk down the sidewalk together, hands linked.
You don’t have to be scared anymore, she says, and Shuri believes her.
