Laughter
April 21, 2025 at 03:23 AM
Ahsoka doesn’t laugh as much these days. There are ugly shadows in her eyes, scars from far too much betrayal and loss. Kaede gets that; the years since they’ve last seen each other have been rough on them both.
When Ahsoka does laugh, it’s a sweet sound, one that Kaede feels tempted to record for hard nights when they have to be apart.
She throws herself into making Ahsoka laugh, and that’s when Kaede realizes that she doesn’t laugh as much either, too distracted by her own fears and responsibilities.
Maybe, she thinks, they can learn to laugh again together.
