Dress-Down

They’re in trouble (again) because Sophie can’t keep herself from listening to Kate’s stupid schemes (again) and her ears are still ringing from the yelling (again) and they’ve got way too many laps waiting for them (again). 

But it’s all worth it, she thinks for the way Kate smiles at her as they walk out of there together. Cocky and wise-ass, but also apologetic in her own way, and more than anything else: happy. Happy to be raising hell together, happy in a way Kate doesn’t let herself be often. 

Yeah, Sophie thinks, things could be a whole lot worse.
