Bits of skull mix with bits of glass; all dyed a lovely cherry color. Mari glances up from the bodies to give Dinah a Look.
She groans. “I’m still working on precision, okay?”
“Mmm,” Mari says. “Well, I suppose there are worse people to practice on than grade-A assholes.” She approaches the door, a bear flickering over her skin, and yanks on the handle. The door flies off the hinges and out of her hands, forcing Dinah to duck with a yelp.
They stare at each other for a second and then Mari turns away, face red. “Not. A. Word.”
