“I’ll love you as long as our star shines”

 

It was a childish thing to say, “our star”. 

 

His mother would shrivel up if she ever heard her son saying such things, but  not James, James loved it when he said things like that. So he pulled him into a kiss, short but loving, a sort of way to say “yeah, me too” and Regulus understood. 

 

But James, being James, obviously had something on his mind that he wasn’t sure if he should say, and Regulus, being Regulus, wanted to know.

 

“What is it?” Regulus said, breaking the silence. 

 

“Well.. stars die, and what if-”

 

It won’t die James.”

 

“But what if it does?”

 

“James”

 

“Reg”

 

"It won't die James, because I will always love you" Regulus reassured, and James decided to leave it at that, kissing him again.
