Chapter 2
Freddy and Chica lead Sun and Moon down the hallways to Dumbledores office, standing side by side them this time.
None of them said a word as they walked, just walking in silence with the occasional stare or glance from other students, some were recognisable to be apart of the crowd.
The silence was broken though with a soft humming that gradually got louder, Freddy and Chica had noticed Sun started to have a little bounce as they walked, the humming coming from them.
"Hmmhmmhmm hmmhmhmhmm hmhmhmhmmhmhmm" the humming of the song was upbeat and playful, repeating the same tune a few times before adding new parts, then repeating the first again.
Sun would stop humming after the first tune and Moon would add a whistle to the song, then Sun would start up again.
The song sounded like something a daycare would play through the speakers for the kids to enjoy, Freddy and Chica didn't mind though, at least they were calming down at lot more now.
They reached the staircase to the office, the playful humming stopping as they walked onto the stairs, Chica mumbled a 'Sherbet Lemon', then the staircase spins and raises from the ground, causing Sun and Moon to stumble slightly but not too much to fall over.
They reach Dumbledores office door, Freddy knocking three times on the door and opens it once he gets the 'come in'.
They all walk in and Sun does a 360 slow spin as they walk into the office, "This place is amazing!"
"Why thank you, Sundrop" Dumbledore stands from the second floor railing of the office, walking to the stairs and coming down, "Freddy, Chica, would you mind standing outside for a moment?"
"Not at all Professor" They say in unison, leaving the room and closing the door behind them.
Dumbledore waves his wand and two chairs appear in front of his desk, taking his own seat he motions to the new chairs, "come and take a seat, I promise you're not in trouble."
They hesitate for a moment before walking to the desk, taking a seat and grab each others hand in a death grip once again behind their backs.
Dumbledore smiles, "You don't have to hide it, it's not like I'll judge you."
Sun tried to move their hands from being hidden but Moon doesn't budge, so he doesn't try again.
"I hope you don't mind me getting straight to the point, but the Sorting Hat had informed all the staff and myself on your life before Hogwarts."
Their grip gets tighter, both of their hands start to hurt but neither of them do anything about it.
"But I hope you'll glad to know that your parents are being dealt with as we speak, both are being arrested with the charges of child abuse, all of the staff know about what happened to you and will try to make Hogwarts as safe and enjoyable as they can for you."
"You don't have to do that..." Sun says, "There's so many people here, should you be more focused on them? Don't waste your time with us..."
Dumbledore stands up, making the twins jump, he walks around the desk and kneels down in front of them, looking up at the two.
"Listen to me, both of you," Dumbledore says in a serious tone, "You're not a waste of time. You both are as important to me then any of the other students in this school, I care for each student equally but none of them had gone through what you two went through, I want to make this school a safe and enjoyable place for you, I don't want either of you to feel unsafe or unwanted here."
Sun and Moon look away from Dumbledore, but he carries on talking.
"You both have brilliant minds and a bright future ahead of you, I want to help make that happen, I want to help give you two the life you deserve."
The room goes silent, tears were falling from Suns eyes and threatening to fall from Moon, their death grip never leaving.
"...Will Mom and Dad be ok?" Sun asks.
"Who cares..." Moon says, "they're not gonna care about us, why should we care about them?"
Sun doesn't say anything but Dumbledore answers his question.
"Yes, they will be ok" Dumbledore says, he stands up and ruffles both of the twins hair gently, "The Glamrocks seem to have taken a liking to you, they're a nice bunch."
Sun wipes his eyes and giggles, Moon groan and pouts, Dumbledore takes his hands back and the twins shake their heads rapidly to get their hair back to how it used to be.
"Who're the Glamrocks?" Sun asks.
"They sound like a band name" Moon says, meant to not be taken seriously.
"Because they are a band," Dumbledore says, Suns eyes light up and Moon looks up to Dumbledore dumbfounded.
"The Glamrocks are Freddy, Chica, Roxy and Monty" Dumbledore says, "They play songs for the holidays, special events or sometimes weekends, I'm sure they'll gladly show you a thing or two if you ask."
Sun jumps up from his seat, dragging Moon up with him making him stumble up and try to gain balance, "Do they sing?!"
Dumbledore chuckles, "Sing, Preform, they do it."
Sun let's go of Moons hand but grabs them and shakes them violently, "You head that Moony! You think they'll let us preform with them?! Do ya do ya!"
Dumbledore raises his eyebrows, "You preform?"
Sun stops shaking Moon, the boy looking like they just went through a tornado, "Oh yes! We're very flexible and can do all sorts of things! When we had time to ourself we put on shows in our room and even made our own costumes! You should hear Moony sing!"
Dumbledore smiles, "Well then, I look forward to seeing you two on stage."
"You really think they'll let us join them!"
"I'm sure they will," Dumbledore says, "But before you go, I'd like to give you both something," he reaches into his cloak and pulls out two rings, one yellow and one blue, he holds them out in a flat palm, "These rings will make you both able to contact each other when far away, as long as your touching it you'll be able to speak to each other in your minds or out loud."
Sun takes the blue ring and Moon takes the yellow.
"Wait here!" Sun runs up to the second floor of the office and runs to the very back.
"+~Can you hear me?~+"
Moon shakes their head a little in shock, apparently they took too long to respond even if it was a 2 seconds delay and Sun runs back to the stairs.
"Did ya hear me?"
"Yeah," Moon smiles, "I heard you."
Sun squeals and runs down, "You try you try!"
Moon closes their hand with the ring.
"+-Hello?-+"
Sun grabs Moon and pulls him into a tight hug, "This is amazing!" He breaks the hug and puts the ring on, Moon doing the same.
"Thank you so much!" Sun looks up to Dumbledore.
Dumbledore smiles back, "You can both go now, Freddy and Chica are outside and will take you back to the main hall, dinner will be starting soon."
"Thank you Professor!" Sun grabs Moon and runs out of the office.
Dumbledore can't help but smile, those two are something else, but something about them keeps lingering in the back of Dumbledores mind.
They both posses amazing power, not just with their wands, but something else too, something physical and not yet unlocked.
Hopefully the school will help unlock their power soon.
Sun runs out the room and wastes no time, "You're a band?!"
Freddy smiles and Chica giggles, "We definitely are" she says.
Sun pats Moons arm rapidly in excitement, "This is great!"
"We will explain more once we are all together, we should get to the main hall, Roxy and Monty will be there by now" Freddy says.
They walk down the hallways to the main hall, Sun skips and dances ahead but stopping to make sure he isn't going too far, especially since he has no idea which way to go.
Instead of just standing still when they got too far away, they decided to show off a bit, pretending to be dancing in place but really showing off his flexibility and what he could do.
Moon knew what Sun was doing but didn't say anything, Freddy and Chica watched in amazement, giving Sun compliments.
Sun was far ahead again and decided to do a half flip and land on his hands, up into a handstand, looking up at Moon.
"+~You smell~+"
Moon gives Sun an offended look, obviously not meaning it, Sun smirks and rolls his legs forwards to stand up straight again.
Chica looks down to Moon to make sure they were ok, she spots the ring on Moon finger as they twist and fiddle with it.
"Is that a transmission ring?" Chica asks.
"Dumbledore gave one to both of us," Moon says, "though Suns been using it so far to insult me."
Chica smiles and is glad Moon is actually talking to her, before he wouldn't say a word to them or even speak when they were around.
"It's not an insult if it's the truth~!" Sun sings.
Moon charges at Sun, Sun letting out a small scream before running, not getting far till Moon jumps on Sun and they both roll to the ground.
"Say it" Moon says.
Sun pouts, "I'm sorry, Moony."
Moon gets up and holds an arm out for Sun, he grabs Moons hand and he pulls Sun up.
They arrive at the main hall and Sun somehow spots Roxy and Monty at the end of the Slytherin table and bolts down the hall, skidding to a stop.
"Woah little dude careful" Monty says, "you good?"
Sun grabs the table to stop sliding to the ground, pushing themselves up, "You're a band?!"
"Ooh, you like bands?" Roxy asks.
"Do we?! Singing and Preforming is the only thing we could do! We love it!"
"Oi, keep your voice down Droppie" a Slytherin with green hair, growls from the table.
"You keep yours down Greeny" Roxy growls back.
"Be quiet you mutt" The Slythrin says.
Roxy responds with an extremely realistic Wolf growl.
"How did you do that?" Sun asks.
"Roxys an Animagus," Monty says, "She can turn into a wolf whenever she wants."
"Wow! That's so cool! Wait..." Sun turns to Roxy, "Can you Owa Owa?"
Moon tried to keep their laugh in but it ends up throwing them into a coughing fit, Freddy and Chica both worried and confused at what happened.
Roxys face turned bright red, "No. I can't 'Owa Owa'."
Sun pouts, "Aw man, that would of been adorable, we've never seen or heard a wolf before but I’ve heard people say some go Owa Owa..."
The other three finally arrive at the Slytherin table and switch to the Hufflepuff table, more space for them all to sit at the end.
"You never seen a wolf?" Chica asks, "Not even a dog?"
"Nope!" Sun says.
An owls wings flapping gets louder towards them, Sun and Moon recognise the owl to be Eclipse, Moon stands up and holds a hand up for Eclipse to land on, then sitting back down.
"Is that your owl?" Roxy asks.
Sun nods, "Mhm! Their names Eclipse! Why are they out anyway?"
"I let them out before I left the room," Moon says, bumping his head on Eclipse as the owl did the same.
"You two are adorable at names" Chica says in a high pitch voice.
"We just went with what we thought made sense" Sun said.
"It's better then Floorbot" Moon says.
"Ow..." Freddy says.
"Pfft! You should hear Chicas owls name" Monty says, Roxy covers her mouth not to laugh.
"What is it?" Sun asks.
Chica pouts, "Her names Pizza."
Moon flips their head to Chica, "Fucking Pizza?!"
Sun turns to Moon and hits his arm, "Language Moondrop, I think the names great!"
"Thank you Sun" Chica says, "See, not a bad name."
"Oh! I have a question!" Sun says, "Why did you name your band, Glamrocks?"
"We didn't," Freddy says, "After our first show everyone referred to us as Glamrocks, so we went with it."
"What do you each do in the band?" Moon asks, with actual interest in their voice.
Sun smiles, he's glad Moons trying to trust and get to know them instead of being silent the whole time.
"I play guitar" Chica says.
"I'm bass" Monty says.
"Keytarist" Roxy says.
"And I'm vocalist" Freddy says.
'Oh no' Moon thinks to themselves.
"Don't 'oh no' Mister," Sun says, "Moony sings too."
"They're lullabies, Sun," Moon says, "not really that impressive."
"I think it's impressive."
"You think everything's impressive."
Eclipse peaks Moons head, "Ow, don't peak me, peak 'im."
Eclipse peaks Moon once more before flying out the main hall.
"Favouritism" Moon grumbles.
Freddy chuckles, "I'm sure they love you both equally."
Moon turns to Freddy with 'did you not just see what happened' look, Sun coos.
"Awe, is Moony upset he's not the favourite?"
“I’d prefer not to be peaked” Moon says.
“Are you sure?~”
“Yes.”
Sun lifts a hand behind them slowly, Moon puts an arm in front on Suns.
“Don’t you dare” Moon says.
Sun smirks but does put his hand down and join in with the conversation the Glamrocks were having, shortly after dinner was beginning and Roxy and Monty had to go back to the Slytherin table.
After dinner, Sun and Moon went back to their room, had showers and changed into their pyjamas, Moon was the last to have a shower and came out in his starry night pyjamas, rubbing a towel at the ends of their hair.
“I’m so proud of you!” Sun jumps up from his bed.
“For what?” Moon sits on their bed.
Sun runs over and sits next to Moon, “For actually talking and showing interest, I know it’s hard for you so thanks for trying.”
Moon gives a small smile, “If we’re gonna be here for a few years, I can’t just sit in silence for all of ‘em.”
Moon reaches over and grabs their transmission ring, putting it back on before putting the towel away, grabbing a hair-tie from their drawer and putting their hair up in a ponytail.
“Can I braid your hair later?” Sun asks.
“Sure, but you don’t have to ask” Moon says.
“It’s the polite thing to do.”
Sun lays back, “I wish we’d brought our costumes with us, they were fun.”
“Hmm, funny you mentioned that” Moon says, Sun instantly shoots up.
“No you didn’t.”
Moon smirks.
“Did you actually?!”
Moon grabs their suitcase and pulls out Suns yellow and red costume, holding it out on display.
“You think I’d leave them behind?” Moon says, giving Sun the costume, they toss it aside and run into Moon for a hug.
“Thank you thank you thank you!! You’re so amazing!!”
“Who said I brought them for you?” Moon smirks.
Sun breaks the hug, “Why do you ruin my moment?”
They stare at each other with a smirk and pout, only lasting a few seconds before they both start laughing quietly.
“You’re an idiot” Sun picks up his costume.
Moon mimics a shocked pose and tone, “Sundrop! Language!”
Sun puts their costume in their suitcase and rolls their head, “Ok don’t even start on that.”
Moon continues acting dramatic, like their in a drama show, “I can’t believe my brother swore! How can I go on in this life?” He puts the back of his hand on his forehead.
“Stohahap it” Sun laughs out.
“I can’t stop! My whole view on you had been flipped completely upside down!”
Sun flops on their bed, their face hitting the pillow with a ‘Poof’, he mumbles a ‘You’re so annoying’ into the pillow.
Moon stops and kicks their suitcase back under their bed.
“Ok ok I’m sorry” Moon says, Sun doesn’t move.
“Suuunn” Moon turns to his older brother, still not moved.
“Sunny” He sits on the end of Suns bed.
“Sunshine!”
Nothing.
Moon gets up and rips Suns pillow off and smacks the back of Suns head with it, he couldn’t help but snicker when Sun didn’t move even after that.
“Ok ok, wanna braid my hair now?”
He jumps up, “Yes!”
