When the sky comes crumbling down
Summary
What happens when 9-1-1 exists in the same universe as marvel? What happens when the entire 118 is exposed to a fire that isn't so natural as it is mystical? What happens when everyone wakes up in a room they've never seen before? What happens when the sky comes crumbling down, will they be able to hold themselves up or will the weight of the world crush them as they adapt to brand new circumstances?~●~●~Or; When my delusions catch up to me, and I finally decide to make a story so my favorite original characters can have a home with my favorite characters (That isn't in my notes app)(WIP Story, huge thanks to @llawliettii for helping me with ideas, grammar, and punctuation :) )Edit: There will more than likely be little-to-no Marvel characters present in this story, they do however still exist, and may be referenced on occasion.
Note
Well hello my lovelies this is my first ever fic (Except for one I made on wattpad 3 years ago but we don't talk about that... 2021 was a rough year) please please tell me if you see any spelling errors or anything wrong with a timeline or anything I've never been the best at realizing my own mistakes when writing because I write on impulse instead of planning anything, but anyways! This will be a 911 and marvel crossover there's not gonna be a lot of marvel characters in this because I wanna focus on 911 here but there will likely be some mentions or appearances as they do in fact exist in this world, there will also be a couple of my Oc's in here, i do hope you all enjoy this story and if you didn't come here from tiktok go follow me <3 see end of story for more notes <3 if you hear a name you don't recognize (Such as Vivian) assume it's an oc, their place in the story and backstory WILL be explained my writing is a bitnout of place but i swear the beginning of this is weird because it's a bit in the future it will skip back and explain everything I swear

Hospitals suck

As they walked into the hospital, Athena noticed that the younger woman was fidgeting as they walked. Athena wasn't sure what it was about but it seemed less about the situation and more about the hospital because she seemed to avoid looking towards the rooms lining the walls like they'd jump out at her.

Vivian's hands darted to grab hold of the counter as they reached one of the desks in the hall, like she was desperately trying to hold something to ground her like she'd float away just by being here.

"I'm looking for anyone involved with the warehouse fire on 5th, specifically Robert Nash of the 118" Vivian ordered, her tone contradictory to her body language and anxiety that was practically oozing out of everything but her voice.

Athena didn't know the young woman well enough to make a comment, or even ask why she was so anxious in the hospital. So she left it at a potential bad experience and continued as the woman listed off a few numbers and handed Vivian a file containing a few papers.

"They didn't even set up a quarantine, god I hate hospitals" The younger woman had muttered, just barely loud enough for Athena to hear, probably not even meaning for Athena to hear.

"Why would they need to be in quarantine?" Athena had asked, though as the words left her mouth she realized exactly why but still got the answer.

"If they were exposed to something bad it could spread if anything got onto their clothes, skin, hair, or anything else. While luckily I don't think that's the case they still should've put up a quarantine for safe measures." Vivian had said this in a tone that was... protective, almost animalistic in fact. Quit like a bear protecting its cub from a safe hand. There was seemingly nothing that directly indicated the *need* for a quarantine but clearly, Vivian hadn't liked the idea of it being neglected.

Athena shook her head, she didn't need to be analyzing the woman that was helping her she thought. Suddenly she was dragged out of her own head by a man probably in his mid to late 20's appearing from around a corner.

"You better be here to inform me that the transportation request was accepted or so help me I will have your Abuela ground you" Vivian said with a voice that indicated a mix of annoyance and fondness

"I'd argue that I'm a grown adult and that my Abuela wouldn't ground me, but she'd probably help you bury me if you killed me so we both know how that'd end" The man had joked back, his grin nothing short of glowing.

"As lovely as your presence is, Reno what are you doing here?" Vivian questioned with a tilt of her head, leaving the banter behind.

"Wow straight to the point as always, you spend too much time around my Abuela, Vi. But anyways I'm actually here because your request was refused, and when I saw that you requested the transport I may have went against orders and took a truck out anyways." The man in front of her, apparently known as 'Reno' said with a nervous smile as he rubbed the back of his neck.

"Normally I'd scold you for not listening because we both know you're so close to getting fired, but thank you." Vivian said as she pulled the man into a hug, who was upon further inspection much taller than her.

Reno's cheeks had turned red at the hug, but he gave her a hug back. "I even went as far as to send in a transfer notice with the hospital so you could get whoever out asap since you seemed in a rush-" The man had stopped his words abruptly as he finally laid eyes on Athena.

"Oh I didn't even see you, I apologize for not introducing myself, I'm Reno Laurier." The man introduced himself while extending a hand which Athena had taken.

"It's nice to meet you, I'm Athena Grant. Thank you for pulling strings to get transport down here." Athena had said in a genuine but still hesitant tone.

"I didn't so much pull strings, more like I grabbed them and dragged them with me, but you're welcome nonetheless." Reno said with a small smile, turning his attention back to the younger woman.

"Alright so I already managed to get half of them transferred over, but the hospital gave me more fuss when trying to transfer a Robert Nash and an Evan Buckley. Unfortunately I have no real power to do more than that, so hopefully you can do something yourself." Reno had explained a bit hesitantly, Reno wished he could be of more help.

"Thank you, honestly that's well more than enough, I'll get the last two transfered out but I'll still need you to transport them, if that's not asking too much."

"No not at all, how long do you think you'll be, I can try to have the others transported while you work through this." Reno had asked, pulling out his phone and scanning over it.

"Go ahead and get them transported, I'm not sure how long it's gonna take me to get the hospital to release them to the company, Hopefully not too long." Vivian had finished what she said as a mumble, not wanting to spend any more time in a hospital than neccesary.
