Chapter 8
James and Sirius left the Great Hall wanting to pull their hair out, the meeting went as well as you can expect the long time staff that had been at Hogwarts for years were not happy with some of the changes and were also annoyed that the two biggest troublemakers in Hogwarts history of students were now the lords of Hogwarts, which meant that they could control what happened in and around the school, on their way back to their living quarters James kept thinking of the people who were on his and Sirius' side; Ted and Andy, Mad-Eye, Remus and surprisingly Madame Pompfrey they were the only ones who were truly happy about the changes, he knew it would take some time for the rest of the staff to get used to the changes but the way they were acting was ridiculous, Hogwarts needed to change and not keep with these out of date lessons and routines, otherwise students would never reach their full potential, but what really pissed him off was the way they were acting towards Sirius, as if he were still the criminal that escaped from Azkaban, and not the innocent man they proved him to be, he knew the quicker he got everyone's memory back the better, but it still didn't give them to right to glare and purposely keep away from him as if he were Voldemort himself and he knew Sirius picked up on what was happening, he had made great progress with Sirius and his mental state once he was out of Azkaban, as he knew not only did that place bring up some of his worst memories but for 12 years Sirius truly believed his husband was dead and that he would never see his son again and and that it was his fault, James could feel Hogwarts' over protectiveness of Sirius and how angry she was with the staff and they both silently agreed, if the staff here made Sirius have a set back, James and Hogwarts herself will show them why it's truly wrong to get on their bad side when it came to their Sirius.
Sirius on the other hand was quiet, he knew the changes were a lot, but what really got to him was how the staff were treating him, especially the ones that taught him, he thought that because his innocence was proven he would be treated fairly, but instead he was met with hostility, Sirius was so deep in his thoughts that he couldn't feel Hogwarts trying to comfort her Lord, as they made their way inside the four founders looked at their heirs and especially to Sirius who sat on the sofa staring into space the four Founders were also very protective of their heirs, especially Sirius with all that he had gone through in his life, James looked at his husband and began to worry 'Siri, you okay?' Sirius looked to his husband 'I'm still just the bad guy to them, aren't I?' James watched as tears fill his husband's eyes and cursed the staff for what they had done to Sirius 'oh Siri, come here' and made his way towards Sirius who collapsed into James' arms sobbing, the four Founders looked on as their hearts broke for their young heir, while Hogwarts was brimming with anger at what the staff had done to her Lord, so the staff might just find some surprises in their beds tonight, 'it'll be okay, you and me we're a team a nothing is going to come between us or our Harry' Sirius looked into James' eyes and smiled then leaned into give him a kiss, James incorporated the kiss and slowly led Sirius into their bedroom and onto the bed, where he showed his husband exactly how much he loved him.
Meanwhile Harry walked his way toward Gryffindor tower, he could feel Hogwarts and her anger and protectiveness and wondered what made her react this way and worried for his parents, as he made his way into the Gryffindor common room he stopped short when he saw that all his housemates were gathered waiting for him 'um...hi what's going on?' Lavender Brown answered for the entire group 'what's going on is that we're still all in shock about the events that have happened and can't believe the changes that Hogwarts is going through' other students nodded their head in agreement 'yeah Harry, I think these changes are going to be brilliant but I think it's also knowing that not only are you the heir to all four houses of Hogwarts but also who your parents are, I mean just last week we all thought that Sirius Black was a murderous criminal' Harry went to open his mouth to defend his dad but Dean continued on 'but instead we find out he's innocent and actually the victim in all of this is quite sad, and your other parent is actually alive, well I think any student would have to be stupid to not be in shock' Harry stared at his housemates 'so none of you have problem with who my parents are or the changes they've made to Hogwarts?' they all shook their heads 'Harry, we're all actually very pleased, not only do they seem to really care about the students and what happens in he school, but they also were two Gryffindors, which makes us all very proud of our house' Seamus contributed, Harry nodded and smiled 'well, thank you all of you for being supportive in all this, but I think now I'm really tired and would actually like to go to bed' students nodded and begun to disperse but not before a voice spoke aloud 'my Grandson is right, all of you should head to bed, your new timetable starts tomorrow' the students looked up to the portrait of Godric Gryffindor who was watching them with a gentle expression they all quickly went their separate ways 'goodnight Harry' Harry smiled 'goodnight Grandfather' and made his to own dorm, ready for what tomorrow might bring.
