Chapter 4
James and Sirius lead Harry and Remus away from the direction of where the students were being lead to their dormitories, as they continued up the stairs, Harry was standing in the middle of both his parents clutching their robes not ready to let them go just in case he woke up and this turned out to be a dream, as they lead him on to the third floor and went down a corridor and stopped outside an old tapestry that had a picture of a Lion, Raven, Badger and Snake, Remus who followed silently behind James and Sirius stopped when he saw they stood in front of the old tapestry that was on the third floor ‘James, Sirius what are we doing here? We know this leads nowhere when we were exploring Hogwarts back in our school years’ James smiled mischievously and winked at Sirius ‘that’s because Mooney, at that the time we didn’t know we were heirs to Hogwarts’ Sirius nodded along with what James was saying ‘ready, Prongs?’ Sirius asked his husband, James nodded ‘the Heirs have come home’ they both said, Harry and Remus watched in shock when the four animals turned and each made their signature noises before the tapestry split in two and a door materialized in front of them. Sirius smiled and opened the door and led the way towards the main room which looked like the Gryffindor common room but had a mixture of all the house colours and when Harry and Remus looked to the portrait above the fireplace they were shocked to see four figures grinning widely at them along with James and Sirius.
James watched his son and best friend’s faces morph from wonder in to shock when they saw the portrait, Sirius grinned before saying ‘Harry, Remus let us introduce to you to Godric Gryffindor’ with his name said, a man with shoulder length brown hair, with a beard and blue eyes, and was wearing red and gold armor with a red cape, and the sword of Godric Gryffindor at his side, looked to the two and waved ‘hello Harry, Remus’ Harry and Remus looked shocked at Godric Gryffindor actually talking to them, but both of them could see how James was related to him ‘this lovely lady right here is Helga Hufflepuff’ with her name said a beautiful woman with blonde hair that went down to her waist, brown eyes and had beautiful tanned skin and was wearing a golden dress and two smaller sized swords hanging from her back, looked to the two men in front her of her ‘hello Harry, Remus we’ve heard so much about you and Harry can I just say that it is a pleasure having you as an heir considering what you’ve done for our school’ Harry stared at Helga Hufflepuff and you could also see how the Potters were related to her.
James smiled at Sirius who was watching his son and James could see him glowing with happiness before he cleared his throat ‘and this other lovely lady is Rowena Ravenclaw’ the lady mentioned also stepped forward; she had silky black hair that also went down to her waist, greyish-blue eyes, slightly pale skin and was also wearing a blue dress and had bow and arrows hanging from her back ‘hello boys, it’s a pleasure to meet you both’ and smiled gently at them and they could definitely see how Sirius was related to her ‘and last but not least this strapping man is Salazar Slytherin’ Harry and Remus looked to the last figure who stepped forward smiling widely at both of them he had short black hair, greyish almost black eyes and was wearing green and silver armor (identical to Godric Gryffindor’s) with a silvery cape and also had a sword at his side, you could also see the resemblance between him and Sirius ‘hello, a pleasure to meet you both, I know that you have heard a story of how I was when we built this school and I would just like to state that what you have heard is not the truth’ Harry and Remus looked at him in shock before they both smiled and nodded ‘it’s nice to meet you all’ Harry quietly stated, the four founders took one look at him before laughing ‘oh Harry, you can call each of us Grandma and Grandpa’ Harry once again looked shocked before he grinned and nodded ‘now that you’ve met I think it’s time for bed, Harry?’ James stated loudly for them all to hear, Harry looked at his father ‘yes father’ he turned to his Grandparents ‘night everyone’ they all nodded, ‘night Remus’ Harry quietly said, Remus nodded ‘night Harry’.
Harry then turned to his parents who had taken a seat and were holding hands while watching him, he smiled and ran to them throwing his arms around them, hugging them both ‘night father, night dad’ James and Sirius hugged him tightly ‘night Harry’ Harry closed his eyes relishing in the hug and feeling the love pouring off both his parents ‘love you both’ James and Sirius stared at each other with tears in their eyes ‘we love you Harry, so much’ Harry let go, gave them both a kiss on the cheek before heading to a room which had materialized, he entered and looked around the room noticing it had all the colours from the houses but more of red and gold, Harry smiled and got in to bed before laying down ready to sleep, Harry stared at the ceiling which showed the night sky (similar to the one in the Great Hall) for a moment not believing that his dreams from when he was younger had come true, he had both his parents here with him and Remus Lupin; his Uncle Mooney, they were going to be here in school with him and he was actually heir to quite a few Houses which shocked him, but Harry smiled and slowly fell asleep with a smile on his face for the first time in years.
James and Sirius both turned to Remus, after Harry had entered his room ‘you okay Mooney?’ James gently asked his best friend, Remus blinked at them before slowly nodding ‘yeah, I’m fine, just a lot take in’ Sirius nodded in understanding ‘I know, it was a lot to take in for us too, when I met up with James and told him what had happened and can you imagine the shock I got when I saw him alive, I thought Azkaban had finally muddled my brain’ Remus then looked to Sirius and suddenly felt guilty for ever doubting him ‘Sirius, I’m so sorry for ever believing that you would’ve of betrayed James, I should’ve directly asked the story from you instead of believing Dumbledore but I didn’t, just shows you what a horrible friend I am’ James and Sirius looked at Remus in shock ‘Remus, never believe for a second that you are a horrible friend, remember I thought you a traitor as well' Sirius admitted while James ranted on 'and this is all Dumbledore’s fault and don’t worry we’re going to right every mistake he made and make Hogwarts a better and safer place for everyone to learn and live at’ James said with so much conviction in his voice that Remus smiled at him, then Sirius shocked him when he stood up and pulled him and James in to a group hug which they hadn’t done since James and Lily’s deaths and three of them knew that everything was going to be okay for them, Harry, everyone at Hogwarts and for everyone in the wizarding world as well, they’d all make sure of it because nobody was ever going to come in-between this family ever again.
