Chapter 1
Harry James Potter was a normal thirteen year old boy, well normal being an understatement since he was actually a wizard, he had black messy hair, and bright green eyes, wore rounded glasses and lived at Number 4 Privet Drive with his Aunt, Uncle and Cousin; the Dursleys, but trust me he hated living there just as much as they hated having him there. The story of how he got there is that a dark wizard by the name Voldemort was after Harry and his parents; James Charlus Potter and Lily Evans nee Potter, he came to their house on Halloween night and killed them, after he tried to kill Harry but couldn’t and disappeared himself. Right now Harry was sleeping but what he didn’t realize was that when he woke up he was in for a big surprise.
It was the next morning when Harry woke; he reached for his glasses and stood, stretching and then looked to the mirror ready to try and straighten his appearance when he jumped back in surprise, he stood there for a second shocked at what he was seeing, his hair was the same colour and length but was much more neater and straighter and his eyes were a greyish-blue colour and his cheekbones were a bit higher, he stood in shock wondering what was happening when he realized that today’s date meant he was going back to school; Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, as he got his trunk ready and packed and grabbed the cage which contained his snowy white owl; Hedwig, his Uncle entered ‘let’s go boy, so that we don’t have to put up with your freakishness any longer’ Harry slowly followed his Uncle and left the house without saying goodbye.
Once his Uncle dropped him off at King’s Cross he headed towards the barrier that separated the Muggle and Wizarding world and ran through the barrier, when he entered he saw the magnificence sight of the Hogwarts Express, as he headed towards the train he saw posters of the wanted criminal known as Sirius Black as he was also spoken of on the Muggle News, as he looked at the man who looked like he was screaming while being held back by Aurors, Harry couldn’t help but feel there something was familiar about him, he shook his head and entered the Hogwarts express and looked for a compartment when he saw his two best friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, as he entered the compartment the two friends looked at him in shock ‘Harry?’ Hermione’s shocked voice sounded, Harry looked at her ‘yes, Hermione?’ she took another look at him ‘you do realize you look different?’ Harry nodded ‘I know, I woke up and poof suddenly I looked like this’ Ron still looked shocked as well ‘wow, mate it defiantly is a different look’ the rest of the train ride they were discussing what they did over the holidays and the criminal Sirius Black ‘dad says that the Ministry say he’s mad, being You Know Who’s right hand man and everything’ Hermione nodded her head ‘I hope they catch Black soon’ while his friends were discussing the Sirius Black situation, Harry couldn’t get the sick feeling out of his stomach every time one of them said something bad against Black but he had no idea why ‘could we stop talking about this?’ Harry asked irritably, Hermione and Ron looked shocked at Harry’s outburst but quietened down none the less, when they finally arrived at Hogwarts and made their way in to the Great Hall everybody turned and looked in shock at Harry’s new look, including the teachers and the only one who was not shocked was the old headmaster who had lost twinkle in his eye when he realized the glamour that was on Harry was gone.
Not too far from Hogwarts a large black dog was running at immense speed and right behind it at its heels was a large stag, as it stopped, the dog vanished with a pop and in its place was a tall gangly man, with shoulder length black hair, clean shaven beard and greyish blue eyes, the stag also disappeared with a pop and in its place was also a tall man with brown messy hair, round glasses and hazel eyes, these men were Sirius Orion Black and James Charlus Potter ‘you okay Padfoot?’ James asked Sirius who looked warily around the forest before turning towards James ‘I’m fine Prongs, just glad to be out of that place and to have you back’ James smiled softly at Sirius before walking towards him and dragging him in for a hug ‘I’d always come back for you, what they’ve done to you is wrong and we’re going to show them exactly what happens when you mess with Padfoot, Prongs and our little Prongslet’ Sirius pulled back to look at James before capturing his mouth in a kiss, James smiled and kissed back with much enthusiasm. Now you must be confused about why this is happening but you’ll find out soon what is going on, as they pulled apart they both smiled before James started forward again ‘let’s get to Hogwarts’ Sirius grinned manically before transforming again and bounding off with James following in suit getting much closer to Hogwarts.
Back in the Great Hall the students were introduced to their new Defense Against Dark Arts Professor; Remus Lupin and told about the safety measures that were being taken to ensure that Sirius Black couldn’t enter the castle, as everyone finished off their desserts the ceiling started darkening and thunder rang out, the Professors of the school looked at the Great Hall ceiling with worry, but what they didn’t know was that Hogwarts was responding to her Lords finally coming in to the castle. James and Sirius had entered Hogwarts in their animagus forms before they turned a corner out of sight of the Dementor and started towards the Great Hall ‘you wait out here, while I scare the bananas out of everyone’ James stated to Sirius who just shrugged and leaned against the wall feeling the thrumming of magic from Hogwarts welcoming him home and also promising to protect him from the Dementors that lingered around Hogwarts, with one last kiss James Potter headed towards the Great Hall ready to extract revenge on those who had wronged his family, as he stood just outside the doors he pressed his hands against the panels and felt the magic of Hogwarts welcoming him home and the promising of protection for Sirius, James smiled before he pushed open the doors and stood in the entry way staring around at people when they turned and looked at him in shock.
