Movie Night
Regulus didn't know why he came here. It was a really stupid choice. He did know why James had stopped him in the kitchen this morning but he was glad his friends could come and see him on Sunday. Even if it was a party and Regulus didn't really like it, he was still waiting to see his friend again.
He was really scared to meet Potter’s parents. The only time he saw them was on the 9 ¾ platform. He never talked to them and never really had any parents figure except for Sirius.
He was nervous when he got down for dinner. He hadn't left his room since breakfast. Sirius had brought him a lunch tray that Kreacher took back down when he had finished eating. The rest of the day he sat at his desk and wrote poetry in one of his notebooks. He didn't want to face the reality of the event.
So when he got down the stairs and was met with both of the Potters parents he froze in place. He didn't know what to do or say anymore.
“Ehm hello Mr. and Ms. Potter I’m so sorry if I'm disturbing you I can leave. I just left my house and thought the only place I could come to was where Sirius was. So I got here last night in a rush and I didn't even think about asking if I could. I feel like I'm a burden to you. I… I …” Regulus knew he was rambling again. He couldn't help himself from looking at his hand. Until a soft hand touched his shoulder. Regulus looked up and Potter's mother was smiling right at him.
“Hello Regulus” she said with a delicate voice while her husband was going to join the other boys. “I want you to know that you are a very brave man for leaving and I would never blame you for anything. Firstly you can call me Effie. I am so glad to finally know you are safe, kid. You should know that you were always and would always be wanted under this roof. I want you to know that I love you as much as my own kids. Now Regulus, what about we go join the other for dinner and you don't worry about being a burden to anyone. You are not a burden, Regulus, not to anyone.”
And just like that Regulus felt relieved. He let out a breath he didn't know he was even holding. He followed Euphemia to the dining room and was just happy to be here.
Well he still had a problem with Potter. He didn't know if his hatred would ever go away.

Regulus was seated in between Potter and Sirius. This was a nightmare. They were unbearable when reunited, which means they always were. They just couldn’t stop talking even with Regulus in the middle. They were trying to include him in the conversation but he just didn’t want to talk with those idiots. Euphemia and Fleamont were talking about their day at work. Regulus was trying to follow what they were saying because he found their jobs incredible. Euphemia was a healer at St Mungos and Fleamont owned a company of hair products. Regulus admired his work. Potion was one of Regulus favourite subjects at school (after Astronomy of course).
But Regulus couldn’t hear a world of the conversation over Sirius and Potter’s loud noises. He just wanted to scream for them to shut up but he wouldn’t because it has not even been a day since he got here. He knew he was scrunching his face like he always did when angry. He also knew he was frowning, he couldn’t help it. He was very close to throwing a punch or getting up from the table and going back to his room just so he wouldn’t hear their stupid voices. But he didn’t. The talking had stopped and he didn’t know why but suddenly he relaxed in his chair.
Sirius and Potter got up from the table and Sirius turned around and asked
"Hey Regulus we are going to watch a movie in the living room do you want to join us"
Regulus doesn’t know what magical force took over him but he answered «"uhm, yes of course I would like to spend my first evening in your company"
"Eh, was that a yes or a no" Potter added
"It was a yes Potter. I would do you the honour of joining you for your movie night." Regulus added with a tint of sarcasm in his tone.
The three boys got on the sofa and Regulus doesn’t know how but he was once again stuck in between the two guys. They sat down and came to the long argument of choosing what they were going to watch. Potter won. They were going to watch Star Wars 2 and 3. His last argument was « Hayden Christensen, Ewan McGregor and Natalie Portman are some of the hottest actors of all time and you can’t say otherwise, so we are going with my choice ».
Regulus and Sirius had nodded in agreement because this was a statement that couldn't be denied.
And so here they were, on a Friday night of August, watching Star Wars. Regulus couldn’t deny the fact that he liked star wars and that anakin was really fucking hot. He couldn't really focus on the film even though he was trying because Potter and Sirius were replaying every fucking scene. It was really funny though.
They just got to the scene at the end of the third movie. James was acting as Anakin while Sirius was doing Obi-Wan.
"Regulus, could you do us the honour of being our Padme" asked Potter
"Of course I will" answered Regulus taken in the moment
So Regulus joined the act as Padme, which was unexpected and surprised the other two boys, and the three of them reproduced the iconic scene. They all had transfigured their clothes in the film costume.
It went a bit like this:
“I don't know you anymore. Anakin, you're breaking my heart. I'll never stop loving you, but you are going down a path I can't follow” Regulus said with big tears in his eyes. Crying on command was something he was used to doing.
“Because of Obi-Wan?” Potter said with anger in his tone which didn't suit his personality at all.
“Because of what you've done… what you planned to do. Stop, stop now. Come back! I love you” Regulus said with conviction.

James stopped dead in his tracks. Regulus had been really convincing with this last line. James almost believed Regulus wasn't acting anymore. Almost. But James knew Regulus didn't like him.
James got back to his mind when Regulus was sitting on the sofa again and James' favourite scene was coming.
Sirius and James were ready to play it. They knew this scene by heart. So when the moment came they were ready.
“I have brought peace, freedom, justice and security to my new Empire” James said.
“Your new Empire…” Sirius acted perfectly.
“Don't make me kill you”
“Anakin my allegiance is to the Republic… to democracy”
“If you're not with me, you're my enemy”
“Only a Sith Lord deals in absolute. I will do what I must.” Sirius said before going into a fit of giggle with James.

Regulus was really shocked by their acting skills. He didn't know why but he couldn't keep his eyes away from James since he ended their part as Padme and Anakin. He found James hot (????) when he was playing the character. (it must be the Jedi clothes doing this effect)
At the end of the film, they all went up to sleep. Regulus couldn't sleep. He didn't know why but he couldn't get Potter stupid face out of his mind. After two hours he still wasn't able to sleep. So he went downstairs to talk with Kreacher.
Kreacher was Regulus' best friend. He helped him when he came out and his parents were hitting and harassing him because of it. Kreacher was the one who was there when Sirius went to Hogwarts for his first year. He was also there when Sirius left and Regulus was alone at Grimmauld Place.
Regulus called Kreacher when he got downstairs and he appeared right next to him. They both went outside to watch the stars like they did on the roof back at Grimmauld Place. They talked about everything and nothing at the same time. When the sun was starting to rise, Regulus got back to his room to make sure no one knew he didn’t sleep once again.
