Chapter 4
Regulus and James chat:

mydeerwife: coming over
James pov:
James walked over to the furthest table at the back, where Regulus was already sitting.
The two grinned at eachother as James sat down, happy to be there.
"Suprised you found me so easily."
"You're Reg, aka a loner. Of course you'd be here."
"Okay rude."
"Not wrong though, is it?"
Regulus rolled his eyes and then looked down at the menu. God hes gorgeous. James couldn't keep his eyes off of him.
"James stop staring."
"Sorry, love, you're just beautiful. How did I not notice this before?"
Regulus chuckles, the sound making James warm inside. "Because you're thick."
"Oi be nice!"
"Hm no."
Before anything else could be said, the waitress came over to ask for their orders.
An hour went by of them talking and getting to know eachother better (and James wanting to smash his head in for not noticing how lovely Regulus was before.) They had a lot to talk about actually and James was absolutely delighted to hear about all the things Regulus talked about. They both sat contented with the date, eating a little between bites.
Then the door opened and a large group came through, laughing about. And James recognised one of the voices between them. Sirius.
Regulus seemed to have noticed too and both of them tensed immediately, hoping Sirius wouldn't notice the two in the corner.
"Fuck, Reg, what do we do?"
"Um I guess just stay here. What's he going to do if he finds out?"
"Chop my balls off."
Regulus let out a quiet laugh. "It'll be fine, James."
They both smiled at eachother before continuing with their date.
Remus pov
Remus sat, mildly uncomfortable, between Sirius and Lily. It'd been awkward Lily finding out, of course she was lovely about it, but she was suprised she hadn't figured it out sooner. For one of the smartest people he knew, she was really dumb.
But the night went on regardless, and Remus was having a bit of fun. Even if his best mate wasn't here with him.
"Remus, is that Regulus with James?" Lily whispered, making sure Sirius couldn't hear.
He looked over to see the two laughing together in the corner of the room. Dumbasses. Surely they saw the various group chats saying about coming here.
"Would appear so, Lils. Do not tell Sirius."
"God I wouldn't dare. He'd get us all kicked out."
"Yea. I knew they were going on a date but I didn't think they'd go here."
"Wait you know too?"
"Maybe."
"Thank fuck. Lets hope Sirius doesn't see."
"Please please don't let him see."
Smartypants chat:

Sirius pov:
He was having fun, it was actually really nice to have all of his friends meet Remus. God knows it had been difficult. But Remus simply was not a people person and he had to respect that.
He seemed happy though, despite it all. Mary loved him as he knew she would. And she was trying to steal his boyfriends attention from him, which was obviously unsuccessful mainly because Lily was already doing so.
But he was happy and he was happy that Remus was happy. He missed James obviously, but he was off on his date with his own mystery boy.
Just as he thought that, he saw him out of the corner of his eye with....Regulus. Oh fuck no.
