Harry Potter and the Reveal of Mysteries
Summary
What if Harry Potter wasn't an actual Potter? What if things had a small change? What if Lily or should I say Lilianith was a bit smarter? And this led to the unexpected whirlpool of differences in Harry Potters life. But what Harry Potter wasn't real?OR:Lily was forced into a marriage with James while she loved another man and disguised her child as James' child, Harry. But things will soon be revealed.—I’m currently rewriting this fic since it been so long and it will b posted separately as a fresh start. I’m not sure if I should mark this as discontinued, but I may come back to it at some point in order to finish it.
Note
Hello! This isn't the first fanfic I've written, but it's the best one I've written and one I've put effort into. I really hope people like it since I really enjoyed writing it. Here some notes and background notes.-Harry has a different father + different name-There is Hogwarts Academy for years 1-7 (ages 11-17) and Hogwarts University for years 8-12 (ages 18-22)SPOILERS -Lily's name is Lilianith-Reason for this is that her parents died in the first magical war and she was put in a muggle adoption center instead of a magical one, she is also a pureblood Anyways, I'm not a good writer but enjoy the first chapter!

Hogwarts Letter

August 1st, 1998

“Haruki! Can you be a dear and get the mail please?” Petunia said up the stairs.

“Of course Aunt Petunia,” Haruki replied. The now 18-year-old walked down the stairs and outside, saying hello to the neighbours, and walking back inside. He looked at the mail while walking in, seeing his previous name on a letter. “Interesting,” he said to himself.

“Thank you, dear,” Petunia said. Haruki handed the rest of the letters to his aunt who was sitting at the dining table. He sat next to her, pulled out the letter addressed to him, and read it. It turned out to be a Hogwarts letter.

“Aunt Petunia,” Haruki said, “I’ve gotten my Hogwarts letter.” Petunia looked at him with a slightly sad face.

“Oh,” she said sadly. “Well, you need to go shopping don’t you? It was at the leaky cauldron, though I’ve never seen it since I’m not magical like your mother. We can drive you there if you’d like?” Petunia offered.

“I’d appreciate that Aunt Petunia,” Haruki said, a smile stretched on his lips. Haruki had found out that there were two versions of Hogwarts. There was the Hogwarts everyone knew about, Hogwarts Academy, that went from ages 11 to 17, but then there was Hogwarts university that was required and acted as a college for 18 to 22-year-old wizards and witches. Haruki finally found something to be excited about.

2 days later

Haruki was walking towards the biggest building: Gringotts. It was a beautiful building in Haruki’s opinion, white marble with pillars and hidden gold accents. Haruki walked into the bank, about to say that he was Harry Potter until something else spilled from his lips when he got a teller. “My name is Haruki Shiroiya-Petrova. May I access my vaults or do I need to take an inheritance test before?”

The goblins’ eyes widened slightly at the name, then went back to normal, calling a goblin to prepare a room to handle the inheritance test. Not many people asked for them since they rarely knew of them so this must have been an important and powerful person. While this happened and Haruki was waiting, a half-giant stood outside the Dursleys house, speaking to Vernon who kept saying that ‘Harry’ wasn’t home.

Very soon, Haruki had been led by the teller, who he learned was named Silverbone, to an office which had a plaque reading ‘Bloodclaw’.

“Thank you Silverbone.” Silverbone was slightly happy, letting a small smile slip, and left Haruki at the door. Haruki politely knocked on the door and patiently waited until a goblin, who he assumed was Bloodclaw, opened the door.

“You may come in,” the goblin sighed. Haruki followed instructions and entered. “I’ve heard you want an inheritance test done?”

“Yes!” he responded a little too eagerly, “I mean… I’ve been told that I was the son of two powerful magicians. I believe my aunt said Lilianith Petrova and Ai Shur- shy-um… Shiroiya I believe,” he said uncertainly.

‘So Silverbone was correct’, “yes, those are your parents if that is who you claim to be,” Bloodclaw said, shooting a mild glare at Haruki. “I shall get a blood test for you, and you have to be able to pay for it -5 galleons- or you shall pay some other way. It will take some time to get it ready. I believe you remember the way back, you seem smart. Come back in about an hour.” Haruki nodded, said his goodbyes, and left the way he came.

A few minutes later

“Well, maybe I should get my books, oh!- and a trunk, maybe if I have time, an official wand too-” Haruki mumbled to himself. He hurried to buy a trunk. He decided to get one that shrunk, had an expansion charm, and organised itself alphabetically, with a small detail of automatically carving ‘H.S.’ onto whatever he put inside, including the outside of the trunk. He thanked the cashier who helped him apply the charms and promised to come back since he hadn’t gotten any magical money yet. He then went on to get all of his books and some extra for entertainment at Flourish and Blotts. He also promised to pay for his books and went straight to the bank after realising he only had a few minutes left.

He walked back into the bank, taking into account there were more people than before, and made his way back to Bloodclaw by memory and sensing his magic. He knocked on the door right when it reached exactly one hour. The door opened for him to see Bloodclaw and materials on the desk he didn’t notice earlier. “Are you always so punctual?” Bloodclaw questioned, a small smirk on his face. “Well, let's get started,” he said, not giving the young man in the room a chance to answer.

Haruki walked over to a chair and sat down, his trunk shrunken into his pocket, and his books inside. “All right, here's the rundown of how we do this. We take 5 drops of blood for the normal test and you get to see your parents, your name, normal things. If you want a more in-depth test then that will be an extra 2 galleons and 7 drops of blood. Which test would you like?” The goblin said.

“I think the 7 galleon test will do,” he said.

“Very well,” Bloodclaw agreed, a mischievous glint in his beady black eyes. He had a wooden bowl, some type of silver potion, and a fancy-looking piece of parchment. “Put 7 drops of blood in the bowl,” and Haruki did as asked after he cut his finger with the offered silver blade. He watched as the short goblin poured in exactly 2 drops of the weird potion, and then watched as his blood and the potion mixed into a marble. The goblin picked it up and, unexpectedly, threw the marble onto the parchment, breaking it into small pieces. A greyish red colour seeped out of the marble and into the parchment, creating lettering on the page. Bloodclaw snatched the paper after there was no more writing added onto it and read through it.

Bloodclaw made a copy of the parchment and gave the original to Haruki. “Read through this, I have a task I need to do,” and the goblin walked out of his office, leaving Haruki to wonder what was on the parchment that made the goblin so pale.
