Chapter 1
Chapter 1:
Harry had never been more confused in his entire life. Not when he found Quirrell trying to get the stone or even when he found Peter Pettigrew on the Marauders Map.
The last thing he could remember was Sirius falling through the veil and this intense panic taking over his entire being. He could not lose the closest thing he had ever had to family; he could never have survived losing everything again. Harry charged through the atrium after Sirius. It was just a joke; Sirius was going to jump out laughing in a few moments talking about how great a joke this was. If Harry could just get to the veil and find him it all would be fine, and they could be a family like they were supposed to be.
Out of the corner of his eye, Remus saw Harry racing towards the veil seeming as though he could not even see the spells shooting at him, barely missing the top of his head. He realized a moment too late what Harry was doing and shouted in desperation, “HARRY NO!!!!”
However, he was too late and Harry ran straight into the veil…
The world was spinning similarly to a portkey, but all Harry could see was darkness, and no matter how he moved he could find nothing to grab onto to stop the spinning.
“Sirius!!! Remus!!! Anybody!!!”
Harry wondered if this was him dying and prayed that this feeling would end soon because he was beginning to completely panic and there was no way he could ever find Sirius like this. After what seemed like an eternity Harry gave up hope of getting out and grabbing his knees began to cry. After all the things he had done in his short life to make his own family in a matter a few minutes, he had lost everything.
Harry had no idea how long it had been when suddenly different colored light started shooting by him and he could see the different colors of spells that had been flying around in the ministry for a moment he thought that he was back in the midst of battle. Until the bright green light of the killing curse struck him over the heart, as he heard the woman’s scream that he had come to learn was his mother’s the light around him again faded to darkness, and he knew no more.
