Long day
Remus
”No no I’m sick of this question tell me your favourite queen song or else”.
It was the week after the group hang and Remus was laying down on his bed, speaking to Sirius on the phone.
”No I can’t tell you I told you you’d have to guess I’m sorry” Sirius said, Remus could hear his smirk behind the phone
“Fine- Killer queen”
“Nope good guess though”
Remus huffed and turned over, “I give up tell me and i will give you something in return”
”oh really- well I knew we moved fast Remus but this-“
”oh shut up you idiot- you know I didn’t mean that”
”Hey you said it”
Remus smiled and sat up “So- I was thinking”
”That you wanted to go on a date”
“i- how did you guess”
”Sidekick and yes I would love to go out with you- wanna meet today”
“Sure- I’d love too maybe like an hour or so”
”Yeah see you then baby” Sirius hung up and Remus smiled at the ceiling.
Remus quickly got up and got changed, he was beyond excited and wanted to grab coffee on his break. He ran to the kitchen and said hello to Lily before walking out.
He walked down the street stopping at a near by coffee shop. He walked up the counter where a woman with dark skin and long black hair tied in braids. He got to the front of the line and smiled.
”Hey can I get a coffee please no sugar or milk”
”of course what’s your name”
”Remus”
”Got it” Remus payed and leaned against the counter.
”Sorry to intrude but you look very hyper is a coffee the best idea”
Remus smiled and turned to her “I have a date”
”Oh what’s their name”
”Sirius Black- weird name but he’s cute”
”Sirius Black- wait my girlfriend knows him”
”Really- what’s your girlfriends name”
”Marlene McKinnon- mines Dorcas nice to meet you”
”nice to meet you too- wow small world though right”
”Very- you seem like a cool guy” she passed over the coffee and napkin, “we should hang if you get chance my number is on the napkin”
Remus smiled and took them “Yeah of course you seem lovely”
Dorcas smiled “awe thanks your a doll”
“I try”, they exchanged their goodbyes and Remus walked out, stopping in at the nearest bookshop.
He walked in saying hello to keeper and walked down the isle. He adored reading and loved the shop even more. It was old timey and the ceilings were high.
He had always loved bookshops, they had a sense of a safe space and they were always warm. Plus everyone knew the regular costumers and his dad took him there all the time.
He pushed the memory away, he hated thinking about his dad. He didn’t do anything wrong and Remus hated the fact he couldn’t even think about him. But it was just so hard- so so hard when he died. Mum went broke and didn’t pay attention to him, Remus struggled with his education and it was like the whole world had turned against him.
Remus continued to walk down the isles until he stopped next to a shelf.

He has this odd feeling Sirius would love this book so he picked it up and made his way back to the counter, then he stopped. Regulus was here, right infront of him, he looked out of it though.
”Hi” Remus said approaching him, “nice seeing you here”
Regulus smiled and shook his hand “hey where you off too”
”Date with your brother actually”
”Ah- good thing get him in a good mood before James spills the drama later”
”What happened” Remus said paying at the counter and walking out.
Regulus sighed and followed him “I may have- done something”
Remus lifted his eyebrow and walked down the street, he knew exactly where this was going.
”Me and James kinda- slept together”
”Oh cool congratulations” Remus said.
”No it was fun but Sirius is gunna fucking kill us, we were reckless”
”He shouldn’t stay mad for long- Regulus you can’t help who you like”
Regulus smiled, “Who said I liked him”
”It’s pretty obvious”
”Yeah- he’s just so funny and sweet and confident and- Jesus those abs”
Remus nodded listening to him blabber on about James for another half an hour, when he saw a figure in the street, it seemed like they were being attacked l.
”Hey- uh I gotta go” Remus said turning to Regulus.
”Yeah that’s cool my house is around the corner anyway”
Remus nodded and said goodbye to Regulus.
Remus put on his suit and swung towards the danger, he grabbed the person who had the man pushed against the wall and pushed him to the ground. He turned to ask the victim if they were okay and he couldn’t belive who it was.
Sirius
Oh no god no- out of everyone. He didn’t have time to register though the person had got up from the ground and tried to hit him.
”Jesus guy can’t you pick on someone your own size” said Remus before webbing him to the wall.
”LET ME GO” the man shouted and Remus sighed, before webbing his mouth shut.
”Okay that’s better” he turned to Sirius “are you okay”
Sirius wasn’t happy, “can’t you just stay away I don’t need help”
”Yes you did Sirius what do you have against me”
Sirius looked at him confused, “How did you know my name”
Remus stared at him and cleared his throat, “stay out of trouble” he said before swinging away.
Sirius
He took his phone out and text Remus, he really wanted to go on that date but he needed to find this out first,
”Hey something came up- can we meet tomorrow”
Remus didn’t reply, just read his message.
He was angry but Sirius would deal with that later, this was more important
He was going to find out who this ‘Knight in shining armour’ was once and for all, and tell him to leave him alone.
Or maybe he just wanted to see him again.
