Peter Parker interning? part 1
Taylor Swift's All too Well 10 minutes song release just dropped. Ned gave him a heads-up that it might remind him of Mysterio's whole deal. So Peter prepares himself, and to his surprise, he thinks of Tony Stark instead. He thinks about how he made him into a child soldier and then used the suit as leverage against him. After the song is done, he puts it on repeat and just spends an hour listening to this and reflecting. He was pushed into a battle with adults and expected to fight, but he was still being treated like a kid. Not even addressing how Tony hasn't responded or contacted him in weeks. Peter does what any emotional teen who is questioning theirs does; he tweets about it.

Ned is just scrolling through his Twitter and just sees Peter's Tweet and MJ's response. What did he miss? Wait, is this about the new song drop? Oh, gods can't believe Mr.Stark manipulated my boy. I may not have the whole story, but I shall stand with Peter as a good friend should. He refreshes the app to see if he missed any updates with context. It seems he did.

"I'm sorry, Ned, I just. A lot has happened that I haven't actually shared about the internship," Peter says, sounding really tired. Ned responds quickly to comfort his friend," Peter, I'm sorry that this has happened to you, and you don't have to share what has happened if you don't want to. All that matters to me is that Tony stark has hurt my best friend, so we are now anti-Tony Stark in this house. I'll tell my Abuela and everything."Peter makes a small laugh and says," Thanks, Ned. I appreciate you getting your grandma on the hate train." There is a slight pause before Ned asks," I don't want to be that person, but what are you going to do about your school-sanctioned part of your internship?" Peter sighs really deeply, and Ned hears his faceplant into the bed and groans out," I quit, yeah. I just, it was the heat of the moment and like really easy to do. Like our school did a really good job at teaching us how to email professionally." Ned, after peter stops groaning, says," So ummmm. What are you going to do since you need those hours for graduation? Like also, we're gonna have to tell MJ you quit." Peter, who ended his groaning, started again but even louder to just say," I forgot that there was an actual school reason why I needed to intern there and not so that I can be called to be Spider-Man.” The boys continue talking until they decide that Peter should just tweet he needs a new internship cause there is no harm in doing that.

Matt is listening to Twitter as Foggy has scheduled an hour of this every single day. He is just listening to this Twitter thread about some high school kid who has apparently been wronged by a rich asshole and needs an internship. Kate has been saying we should have more hands here, and Foggy would love some youth here to bond with. Why not give the kid an internship? Matt goes to Foggy's desk to fill him in on his idea.
Peter eventually gets a Dm about him interning with Nelson, Murdock, and Page Attorneys at Law. Obviously, he accepts, and now he needs to explain to his teacher how law connects to his future career in biochem. MJ helps him write out an explanation and gives him a quick rundown about important law things he should know. Surprisingly, his school accepts this, and now he is interning with Nelson, Murdock, and Page Attorneys at Law.
Peter is now working under Matt's wing as Foggy thought it'd convince Matt to get his shit together if he had a kid shadowing him. That is until Peter gets caught by Matt as he was injured and reveals he is Spider-Man. This then leads to Peter piecing together Matt as Daredevil, and they then come to an agreement of weekly shared patrols and teaching Peter how to actually fight. Peter does learn how to do a lot of paperwork, and that law is hard. He's just lucky that Matt lets him put his patrols as hours.
Tony finally checks in on Peter like two months later just to find out that he quit and apparently hasn't talked to Happy or left him any voicemails to explain. He is just now looking for anything that could possibly explain what happened, and he just sees the email of Peter's resignation and then checks social media for anything involving Spider-Man and sees that apparently now occasionally can be seen interacting with known Vigilanties such as Daredevil. Tony knows the Devil of Hell's Kitchen is a monster, and how could Peter ever interact with that? This causes Tony to start calling Peter, and he keeps getting ignored. Matt, who has been hearing Peter's phone, which is on vibrate and answers it," Who is this, and is it important? Cause my intern and I have been arguing with the office on what we are getting to eat and haven't slept in FOUR DAYS! SO What do you need?" Tony is just momentarily shocked that some strange man has answered Peter's phone and says back," I don't know who you think you are, but I, Tony Stark, am trying to contact MY intern Peter Parker!" Matt could care less who this man is as he is barely paying attention as Foggy is trying to talk Peter out of IHOP," Let me repeat, FOUR DAYS! I don't have the energy for this. Frankly, making me a blind, hungry, and sleep-deprived man have this conversation is ableist! And another thing-" Foggy takes the phone from Matt before he says anything else and starts to apologize for the yelling. Tony doesn't care and just talks over him, “He hasn’t responded to any of my calls and hasn’t clocked in, so as you can see, my problems are a little more important." Foggy does not like how this man is talking to him and is happy Peter no longer works with him. Tony continues to speak, “Just saying..ugh. If Peter is there, tell him to call me ba….” Foggy has hung up on Tony due to having to stop Matt and Peter from playing violent rock paper scissors for who gets to decide. Foggy, as the responsible adult, decides that the only non-injured person should make the decision. Foggy decides they will go to Denny's as they are least likely to question Peter's black eye and Mat's split lip.
Peter was about to order a mint or something non-kosher until Foggy just takes the menu from him and ordered for him and Matt. Foggy makes sure to stress that Peter is heavily allergic to things, so please don't mess up his order. Only Foggy is allowed Caffeniene at this point of the night cause he has to get them home.
During the internship, Peter makes his own suit and removes all remnants of Stark. He is forced to learn first aid and how to sew.

He is her number 1 listener or part of the .00000001%. This is his only way to cope because therapy is both too expensive and like he literally can’t talk about his trauma without exposing that he is Spider-Man, so it’s worthless.
