Chapter 5
Dumbledore had barely sat down when almost everything in his office went off. At the same time.
Reeeeeee! Reeeeeee!
Ting ting ting ting ting ting ting ting
CLANG. CLANG. CLANG. CLANG
Vroooooooop. Vrooooooop
Weee-doooo weee-doooo weeee-doooo
"Alright, shut up," irritated, he flicked his wand, shushing the instruments. "What is it?" he strode quickly to first one. And then nearly fell back in shock. The ward reader, a special commision from the Russian Magical Federation (And the one that made the Reeeeee noises), was flashing an emergency blue light at him, and read: Warning: Security wards breached. Ward Anchor missing from premises. Предупреждение: защитные экраны взломаны. Уорд Анкор исчез из помещения.Avertisment: scuturile de securitate au fost sparte. Ward Anchor a dispărut din incintă. It repeated the same message in over 5 languages, but he got the point.
Harry Potter was missing.

He apparated back to the house, where indeed, the Boy-Who-Lived was absent. Frantically throwing around magic-reading spells (and getting nothing), he tried to desperately figure out where he could have gone.
He stopped abruptly, as a single memory entered his mind:
"-bloody mind??" The voice was quiet, but it still made Dumbledore turn around, Minerva and Hagrid still blubbering over the loss of the older Potters. He scanned the houses, and, for a moment, thought he'd seen a pair of cobalt-coloured eyes, leaning against the opposing wall. However, when he'd blinked, they were gone. Shaking it away as some homeless guy, he went back to consoling his closest allies.
He shouldn't have dismissed it so easily. Whoever it was clearly owned a Camouflage Cloak, explaining how they'd hidden away at a moment's notice.
The problem with that particular revelation, however was that only the members of the magical Guilds of the United Kingdom wore them, having invented them anyways.
There were over 100 Guilds, both big and small. And about half of them weren't even Thieves Guilds. The Necromancer's circle Guild was notorious for kidnapping small children and raising them as their own.
Not to mention he only knew the territories of 10 of them.
How was he supposed to find Harry now?
Sighing, he apparated bac to his office. First, a quick nap. Then, he would get started tomorrow by investigating one of the smaller Guilds, the MockingJay Transfiguration Guild. And he would bring backup.
Any magical Guild any where in the world, both big and small, was dangerous, and, in terms of the larger ones, life threatening.
