Chapter 23
The Mage Tribute
Through Fire and Flames
The Quadwizard Tournament began with a laugh as the four champions pranked their way past dragons....
---
Never Tickle a Sleeping Dragon
Everyone knows that dragons are incredibly dangerous creatures, but none more so than nesting mothers... so why were four people, three of which are barely adults, asked to fight against them?
---
The-Boy-Who-Pranked
Harrison Potter's favorite prank...

Who is to Blame: The Ministry or Dumbledore?

"A ball!" Ron complained as Harrison, Draco, Blaise, Pansy, Neville, and Hermione left Potions. "I hope we're not expected to have a date."
"Just me," Harrison shrugged. "And Dra-"
"He's coming with me," Draco said firmly. Pansy rolled her eyes, and Hermione giggled.
Ron blinked. "You could take a guy?"
"Yes," Blaise agreed.
"I didn't realize you were queer," Neville said quietly.
"Nah," Ron shrugged, not noticing Hermione's relieved look. "I'm just glad Harrison can be with his mate."
"Speaking of mates," Blaise hummed, "Neville, would you do me the honor of accompanying me to the Yule Ball?"
Neville blushed so darkly that Harrison had to stifle a snicker. "Y-yes," he stammered.
Their other friends, Aleksei, and Juliette joined them at the Slytherin table. "You are going to the ball vith Draco?" Aleksei guessed.
Harrison nodded. "Have you three found dates?" he asked Cedric, Viktor, and Fleur.
"I'm going with Cho," Cedric responded, his cheeks faintly pink. Fred wolf-whistled, making Cedric blush harder.
"I only know you," Fleur shrugged.
"You could ask one of us out, as a friend," Harrison suggested.
Fleur smiled. "Zen, I would be wiz someone who is not affected by my allure." She glanced around. "Ginny, would you like to attend ze ball with me?"
Ginny blushed. "Uh, Fleur, I think I might be lesbian. And... I think it might be better if you went with someone closer to your age."
"She's right, Fleur," Juliette agreed. "People will zink badly."
"Per'aps you would like to come wis me?" Fleur suggested. Juliette nodded.
"I vas going to ask Mia," Viktor said, and Hermione blushed wildly. Ron frowned. "But vhat Ginny says makes sense. Fred, vill you go to the ball with me?"
Several girls within earshot wailed in despair. Fred grinned, but Harrison noticed that his ears had turned a little redder than usual. "Pog."
Viktor smirked back, and Fred's ears reddened further.
"Well," Pansy said cheerfully, "since you're not taking Ginny, can I?" she glanced at the redhead.
Ginny snickered. "Sure. As long as someone takes Luna, I want to dance with her."
Luna beamed at Ginny. "Theo asked me after class," she said serenely, "but he said he only wanted to take me as a friend. His girlfriend is homeschooled, so she wouldn't be able to attend anyway."
"Thanks, Nott," said Harrison. The boy nodded without looking up from his book. "What about you two?" he asked George and Lee.
The two gave him an exasperated look. "George and I are dating, Harrison," Lee said dryly. "We have been for a year now."
Harrison's friends snickered as he stared at them. "I'm an idiot," Harrison decided.
"Yes, you are," Draco smirked.
"You're not supposed to agree with me, Draco-"

Yule break finally began. Harrison had completely forgotten his appointment with Gringotts, so he was a little confused when Sirius and Remus brought him to the bank first.
"Once you've taken the Blood Test," Remus told him, "we're going to spend the holiday with the Malfoys and Severus."
"Will Lord Malfoy be there?" Harrison frowned.
"Well," Sirius drawled, "it is his house, pup."
"Oh, shut up," Harrison snorted, bowing a little to the goblin guard.
They were promptly escorted to Hackblade's office, where the goblin king was reading a scroll. He smiled when they entered and said, "Fair morn, Harrison, Lord Black, Consort Black." Remus blushed a little, making Sirius grin.
"Fair morn, Hackblade," Harrison smirked. Remus and Sirius echoed him, taking a seat across from Hackblade.
"Before we begin," Hackblade hummed, "I sent Amelia Bones proof of Dumbledore's and Molly Weasley's thievery, but no one's responded yet."
"Maybe someone should go talk to her," Harrison suggested.
"A good idea," Hackblade agreed. He pulled a silver scroll and a needle from his desk and handed it to Harrison. "Three drops."
Harrison pricked his finger and squeezed three drops of blood onto the parchment. Words appeared:
