Where the Wind Blows

Harry doesn't know how it happened but even after the conversation. Nothing ended up burned, shot, or just plain destroyed and mutilated.

He stared in a daze at the scene of his three guardians having coffee together while munching on the pastries and bread that Harry and Skull bought earlier.

The wizard at the start had tried to serve them tea but Renato gave him a look that practically called him a heathen. So he instead brewed a simple coffee for his sun. While Harry does not drink coffee, much to the horror of Renato. He did have a good experience with brewing it since Hermione tends to replace water with coffee whenever she is on a studying spree.

Viper lunged at the strawberry shortcake that he bought for them and grabbed a bottle of milk from the fridge. Skull finally got his hands on the cinnamon rolls that he was thinking about all day, and didn't even bother drinking tea.

So as the only tea drinker in the house, he was understandably feeling a little miffed. How can his guardians not understand the greatness of a well-brewed tea.

Back to the story, Renato reacted positively to the existence of magic and was grinning excitedly. It was not like the child-like wonder that Skull had. But rather, a wicked smirk from a menace of society looking for creating chaos.

While Harry still doesn't know much about Renato in total, he is starting to like his sun guardian. Renato is kinda like a mix of Draco and the twins. Arrogant and proud like his blond cousin but a bringer of chaos and mischief like the twins. Just add a cup of a flirty gentleman and sadistic hitman to the mix and you got Renato Sinclair.

His relationship with his sun guardian was proving to be fruitful and harmonious. Yet the same can't exactly be said for the others.

Viper and Renato have an apathetic air between them. Like coworkers that interacted for the sake of achieving the same goal and nothing more.

But Skull and Renato? Oh, Merlin. The less said the better.

Each of the pair seems to have some kind of vengeance for each other and were hissing like street cats clashing over a territory. Renato kept jabbing the cloud with his civilian status and age. While Skull kept on making loud childish comebacks and singing 'The one that got away' for some reason. And when Renato is successfully pissed off and ready to shoot, the cunning little shit runs and hides behind Harry.

He had to intervene so many times before Viper sighed and told the two to follow them. All three seem to have had a silent communication that he wasn't part of and left for the study room.

They came back out after a few minutes more subdued than before to Harry's astonishment. He tried to pry off details from Viper but they kept their mouth shut and said that they would take their payment soon anyway.

They also managed to discuss the new additions to Renato's presence. Harry wouldn't mind if the sun decided to live somewhere else, because honestly, it would be a hard decision to immediately live in the same space as strangers you just met.

Skull had literally no permanent place so he was fine with it. Viper was a miser and totalled that they would save more money if they stayed. Renato had no such reasons, so if he wanted, he was free to go live in another place.

But to his surprise, the hitman said with a tight smile that he was not going anywhere before giving a dark look at his other guardians. So another room was added to the corridor where their rooms' were. And as a very much supportive adoptive father, he added the third room on the second floor to cater to whatever Renato wanted to do with it. The sun still hasn't decided on what he wanted so it remained untouched for the day.

Harry was beginning to think that he needed to do a full-on construction of the inside of his cottage to make it bigger. Well, that was a problem for future Harry.

"You mean those cretinos from earlier?", the sun grunted while he took a sip of the steaming coffee.

Harry nodded with a frown on his face. He was curious about what those people were doing and if Renato was their target. They would need to be careful if that was the case, this group could send more people out.

Renato shrugged before crossing his legs and tilting his head with a smirk.

"They were just some newly made mercenary group itching to make a name for themselves", he pulled down his fedora and his grin turned near feral. "But they bit off more than they can chew and are now a bloody decoration on the pavement"

Skull paled and turned his head while Renato sneered at him. Harry sighed because this was going to be a combination that was going to give him a lot of headaches.

"Mou, both of you are a nightmare", Viper was now becoming his fast favorite.

"If both of you are going to rip each other apart, do it outside. Don't damage the house", Okay maybe not.

He sighed for what felt like the hundred times today.

Harry hummed as he fixed the field hat over his head. While wearing his green gardening gloves, he carefully reported the freshly grown dittanies. Due to Harry having a variety of plants in his extendable pouch when he arrived, he was able to salvage and plant some of them.

But that doesn't allow him to make as many potions as he would like. Many ingredients of certain potions include parts of magical animals. So he was limited to potions that only needed plants as ingredients.

It helps that most potions were made to counter magical made incidents or attacks. So he really didn't need to worry much.

He was humming a song he forgot the title of under his breath when he felt his sun's presence approach from behind him.

"Hello Renato, what can I do for you?", he turned around and saw the mildly startled look on Renato's face. But it quickly disappeared and was replaced by his usual smirk.

"Nothing of sorts Harry, I'm just here to see what our sky is doing on such a hot day", he said before sitting right beside him using the other stool.

It's been a week since Renato was added to their little merry group. The tension had mellowed somewhat and the sun was quick in settling in with the rhythm of their dynamics.

The sun talks about mafia-related things to Viper, the only person who could relate, and had taken to teaching Harry and Skull about the Mafia World.

His cloud became less tense when the sun had proven to him that he meant no harm to Harry or the other guardians within the week. But they still clashed, especially over the 'leading' role as Harry once overheard.

It's a role assigned to the first guardian. But while Renato was the first person he harmonized with, Skull was the first he knew of. And Viper was actually the first to do it formally as well. To say the least, it was a mess.

Viper washed their hands over the matter of the leading role and was happy to let Renato and Skull clash over it.

"Mou, that role is nothing but worthless prestige and would cost me a lot of time. Time is money, I can't waste it on useless things", they once told him when he had asked during a late breakfast in their dining room. "They can have it if they want"

Harry had thanked Viper's apathetic response to anything that does not relate to money and him. The mist was less of a headache than the other two.

"I'm just planting the dittany sprouts, they have already sprouted nicely and can be transferred to the ground", he explained as he pointed at the dark green sprouts that had two to three tiny leaves already growing.

Renato squinted over the plants and uncharacteristically gently caressed a leaf.

"These are different from normal dittanies, aren't they? The color is slightly off and they have some of the unusual energy that 'magic' emits"

It wasn't a question and Renato was quite clear on their observation. Harry nodded and continued planting the sprouts.

Renato sat with his knees apart in a relaxed posture and watched as the clouds passed by for a minute or two.

"You know, if it weren't for your magic. You would have had to start your own famiglia. Not that you'd have any problem with it" they mused while still looking upward. "It would have been a safety instrument for you in the underworld. I'm glad you have it. I don't peg you for the type to be tied down with the responsibility of running a family and all those formal bullshit, Cielo''

Harry made a noise of inquiry to say his doubts about it, even though he knew that his sun was absolutely correct. Renato rolled his eyes and continued on.

"Harry, you don't leave the house unless it's to buy food or for important events. The only times you travel by teleporting who knows where in the globe is when nobody else is in the house. You dislike responsibilities and places of power like it's a trauma and have a short patience for politics. So no Tesoro, you do not want to be a Don"

They smugly pointed when Harry shot them a glare.

But Harry knew it was true. He avoided his responsibilities as a lord thrice back in his own world, he wasn't going to do it in this world when he could avoid it.

"How about you? Would you have liked to be a Don?", he shot back at his sun who was now fiddling with his gun and cleaning it.

Renato raised a single eyebrow with an unimpressed look in their eye at his comeback before snorting.

"Quando il mondo finirà, il mio Cielo. I don't have the patience or taste for that. I am fine at being the greatest hitman in the world", they gave a one over their gun and tucked it back in his pocket.

Harry could smell the gunpowder in the air mixed with the herbal scent that always linger in his garden.

"Now, I'm the greatest hitman with a nice magical sky who lets me do what I want. What more does a sun need?"

Renato smirked before taking off his fedora and Harry's field hat to roughly replace them over his head. The sun then stood up and dusted off the slight smudge of dirt on his pants.

Harry grumbled and fixed it over his head before turning to his sun who was already whistling while walking away.

"I'll go see what our idiot cloud is doing. Have fun, Cielo", they saluted at him with their fingers before disappearing inside the house.

A few minutes later, sounds of gunshots and Skull's screeches of his name and Viper resounded in the house.

Harry turned his head towards the innocent-looking dittanies and sighed. Well, peace was fun while it lasted.

Harry's two-way mirror rang just before he headed to bed.

The wizard, already dressed in his white pajamas, glared at it before answering.

On the mirror was Kawahira smiling that sharp smile of his, while his eyes put on a drawled look. Harry's eye twitched and he grumbled as he took his position in bed.

"What do you want? I don't know about you, but it's bedtime here in my place. Lights out and everything mate", if anything, that seems to make the smile on their face wider.

'Sadistic bastard', he thought glumly as he stared at their aubergine eyes dark enough to be mistaken for black. 'I'm surrounded by them'.

"Don't worry Harry, I'm just calling to inform you the location of our meet-up tomorrow regarding the Tri-ni-sette"

Kawahira gleefully informed him while sipping on what looked like a can of coke with a straw. Bright lights filtered in from behind the white-haired man in the colors red and blue.

"Are you at a bar or something", he asked while rubbing his eyes due to the bright lights flaring in his dark room.

Kawahira grinned while moving a little far back to allow him to see where the lights were coming from.

"No", he chirped. "Just some idiotic human being an idiot"

The tone was too cheerful that Harry was beginning to be suspicious. Kawahira seems to enjoy his reaction.

"So now they're being sent away in an ambulance. I heard it was a mysterious case of a series of incidents. First was falling off the stairs and breaking both of their legs then hitting their head on a metal table at the bottom, giving them a cracked skull. I hope they survive", he tilted their head and placed a hand over his lips like they were innocently pondering.

The last sentence couldn't be any more of a lie. Whatever that bloke did, it must have pissed off Kawahira. The guy already doesn't like humans, it's not good to give him an incentive to act on it.

He watched two workers pull a man in a stretcher towards an ambulance flaring red and blue in loud sirens.

"Uh huh", he blankly said before turning back to their original topic.

Harry moved and squirmed to lift himself and sat up to lean on the wall behind his bed. "So where are we meeting?"

"At Rue Montorgueil, Paris. On a little shop that goes by Le régal d'Elisabeth"

"What time?"

"Hmm, just after breakfast. How about at 10?"

Harry agreed and made sure to tell his guardians that he would be gone to visit a friend in Paris. He would like to see their reaction to that.

The wizard still hasn't introduced Kawahira and the matter of Tri-ni-sette to his guardians. But would soon do. He isn't a fan of hiding and limiting information after all. He already did have permission from Kawahira to tell them as long as the information stays within their group. So no, your mist isn't going to be allowed to sell that information.

Harry yawned and bid Kawahira goodnight before placing the two-way mirror on the table beside his bed.

He tucked himself in and closed his eyes, waiting for sleep to get to him.

"What do you mean by going out to meet a friend. Mou, I know for a fact that you don't have any aside from the locals in this dingy town. And they are mere associates", Viper crossed their arms with that judgemental and skeptical look on their face.

And Skull —that little traitor, he was not going to have pillow privileges for a long time— agreed while stuffing their face with the omelette they have for breakfast.

"Si il mio Cielo, you don't really have any"

Renato added with his coffee at hand like an addict. Harry swears that his sun's blood should have been replaced with coffee by now.

He pouted and crossed his arms as well. Putting on his best impression of Draco he haughtily sneered.

"I'll have you know that I am capable of having many friends. Just because none of you know about it doesn't mean that I don't", he finished it off with his nose pointed upward like a true pureblood.

Silence reigned for a moment before it was broken down by Skull's rambunctious laughter. Viper looked like they were suppressing a chortle while Renato was openly snickering.

"That—that just wasn't...Ha! Mio Dio, that was so unlike you Harry. Hahaha ha!"

Harry's hand twitched and a stinging was shot to Skull's forehead, sending him toppling out of his chair.

He glared at his two remaining guardians who wisely stopped their laughter and focused on their breakfast.

"I met Kawahira back during the time that Skull stayed at your place, Viper. He's kinda like my kind's version in this dimension, just without magic. He has some magical-related problem that we need to fix. So I'm going to meet him today to discuss it. I'll probably eat lunch with them as well, so don't wait for me"

He patiently explained and was relieved when none of his guardians seemed to be voicing out any complaints and acted normally.

"I'll be at Rue Montorgueil, Paris. I'll be going at 10. Behave you guys"

All of them answered positively and they continued on their semi-peaceful—as peaceful as a breakfast with Skull and Renato was—breakfast. But Harry still had that nagging feeling at the back of his head that he was missing something.

When the clock struck 10, Harry waved goodbye to his guardians and apparated to Rue Montorgueil.

A minute of utter silence and stillness enveloped the room before all three immediately moved and started action.

Viper took out their phone and started typing. "Mou, the flight from Florence to Paris is 547 miles. It will take us about 1 hour and 40 minutes if I teleport us straight to the airport for our flight. Another 15 minutes when I teleport us straight to Rue Montorgueil and look for Harry"

Skull then ran back to his room and began packing his necessities, followed by Renato who entered his own room.

"I got my passport and ID already", the cloud yelled from his room followed by a scream when a gunshot followed after.

"Shut up, we can hear you fine idiot!"

"Viper! Renato is being an asshole again"

"I can hear you brat!"

Viper ignored the upcoming gunshots and screams and was busy contacting his network to book them the next quickest flight to Paris.

"Just get ready, mou. I already booked us a flight. Both of you are paying"

With that, the guardians were ready to secretly chase after their sky and that mysterious 'friend' of his.
