Chapter Two- Leaving
Aries woke up the next morning with a yawn he turned over and saw Daryl was already gone. Daryl walked into the tent and he said slowly ‘’You coming with me to the Funeral’’ Aries nodded and Daryl nodded and looked at the tiger who was looking outside the tent. Daryl said ‘’What is he?’’ the kid said ‘’Snow Leopard Tiger mix found him.’’ Daryl grunted and stared at the hybrid and Winter looked at him and made a sound that was a mix of a purr and a grumble. Daryl looked at the kid and said ‘’Come on’’ Aries hurried after him.
Aries looked around at everyone moving their things towards the house he grabbed his pack and Hershel looked at the boy and said ‘’You are going to be with Beth Aries.’’ Aries blinked at him and nodded and said ‘’Okay’’ Hershel watched the boy head towards Beth. The boy had two swords on his back and knives on his person. Hershel went outside and saw T-Dog taking a bin from Lori he said ‘’You can put that in my room.’’
Aries went outside to help with moving things inside so he wouldn’t get bored. Winter helped by putting things in his mouth and taking them into the house. He looked at the basket of eggs and jerky he was holding and then Hershel’s truck and made the split second decision to put the eggs and jerky into the back of the truck and did the same with a jug of water. He placed his pack beside it and nodded and then went back to work. Carl looked at the gun in his hands his dad had given it to him when he was on watch. He looked and saw Aries boarding up some windows at the house. Carl ran over to him and tapped him and Aries let out a squeak and dropped the hammer he was holding. He had a dagger in his hand he spun around and then put the dagger back when he saw Carl in a random place on his body again. He signed something and Carl didn’t catch it. He looked confused. Aries spoke ‘’You scared me’’ Carl said ‘’Sorry I forgot.’’ The younger boy nodded and Carl said ‘’Are you finished?’’ Aries looked at the window and nodded Carl said ‘’Can you teach me to sign?’’ Aries grinned and nodded and grabbed his hand and tugged him into the house and upstairs.
Carl and Aries sat on the floor and Winter went to the window and stared outside as the sun was beginning to set. Aries said ‘’Hello’’ Carl watched him put his hand up to his head and then move it away. Carl copied and Aries nodded and Aries said ‘’To get attention the word is Hey’’ he put his hand in front of him and waved it up and down with his finger’s spread apart. Aries said ‘’So I can see you’’ Carl nodded and copied him. Aries grinned at him and continued his lesson in sign language. An hour later Carl heard a gunshot he jumped and he looked and saw Winter at the window staring outside Aries noticed Carl looking outside he stopped and said ‘’What’s wrong?’’ Carl said ‘’Gunshot outside.’’ Aries said ‘’Stay’’ Carl looked at him and nodded and Aries took his hand and Winter started growling softly. Then everything went to hell when Lori rushed into the room and said ‘’We have to leave there’s a herd coming.’’
She grabbed Carl’s hand and Carl looked at Aries and said ‘’Come on we have to go’’ Winter ran over and laid down and Aries climbed onto his back and Winter walked out of the room with Aries on his back the women in the house were grabbing their things. Aries looked around and then they saw a bright light outside it was fire. Carl was dragged out of the house by his mother and Winter rushed outside walker’s were everywhere. Aries gripped Winter’s fur and cried out when walker’s tried to grab at them Winter dodged them and Glenn and Maggie pulled up in Shane’s car and Glenn opened the back door and Winter jumped in and Aries slammed the door shut as Maggie pulled away. Glenn looked back at him and Aries was signing very fast. Glenn said ‘’I don’t know what your saying Aries I’m sorry.’’ The 11 year old said ‘’Carl, where's Carl? I lost them’’ Maggie spoke while driving ‘’I saw him get into the truck with Lori’’ Glenn looked back at him and said it slowly Aries nodded and put his face into Winter’s fur and held onto him tightly.
With Harry and Blaise
Harry jumped when the watch heated up against his chest. He pulled it out and it was vibrating like crazy and he opened it and saw Aries was in danger. Blaise and Orion looked at him and then just as fast as it started vibrating it stopped just like that it went back to safe. Harry looked and saw they were just entering Massachusetts. The elves had sent them back to the mainland and they had found a car since the wards around the school were down protecting it from people coming in and out whenever they pleased. Harry and Blaise had sent a letter to the school and hadn’t heard back from them. Blaise had used a patronus charm earlier that morning. When they hadn’t heard back via letter in two days.
A thunderbird patronus flew at the car and Orion stopped the car and the voice of Agilbert Fontaine said ‘’Lord Black I’m sorry that I couldn’t write to you. We have been busy answering other parents. There’s still some students here but young Aries isn’t one of them. Some Aurors from your ministry came to pick him and the other two kids from England up already. They took them to the airport because the ministry disabled the International Portkey’s. The last thing I heard was they had made it to Atlanta before the planes were grounded. Perhaps you could look there. The only students here are students from America I’m sorry I haven’t heard anything back from them.’’ The thunderbird disappeared just like that. The whole car went silent. Orion started the car again and Harry looked at his oldest and Orion said ‘’I guess we are going to Atlanta then.’’ He made a U-Turn and Harry nodded and wiped at his face and then looked at the watch again.
With Aries
Aries stared at the fire in front of him; he was in his school robe to protect him from the cold Winter was in front of him. Carl walked over and sat next to him and he waved his hand and Aries looked at him and Carl said ‘’What are you wearing?’’ it was a blue and a reddish trim color robe with a golden knot clip to it together. Aries said ‘’Part of school uniform’’ Carl nodded and Aries laid down with his head on Winter’s stomach the hybrid licked his head and yawned but stayed awake. Carl laid next to him with his head on Winter’s stomach and Winter just laid there. Carl jumped when there was a sound in the forest around them. Winter just stared into the trees so it wasn’t a walker Aries mumbled softly ‘’Calm’’ Carl looked at him and Aries was staring at him with his green eyes Aries said ‘’It’s safe Winter can smell the dead it’s not Inferi.’’ He snuggled into Winter’s stomach and closed his eyes again. Carl got closer and closed his eyes.
Carl woke up the next morning to the other members of the group gathering their things. He looked around and saw Aries walking over to Hershel with a basket. Hershel looked at the boy and his eyes widened and he took the basket and Hershel said ‘’Where did this come from?’’ Aries looked around when the group looked over at them Aries rubbed his foot against the dirt and said ‘’I put eggs and jerky in your truck just in case and a water jug.’’ Hershel rubbed the boy’s head and said ‘’Thank you son you did good.’’ Aries grinned up at him, Hershel smiled and gave the basket to Maggie and the young woman started to prepare a light breakfast for the group.
A few weeks later
Aries missed his dad’s he felt like he was alone the group were in a storage unit Maggie Glenn Hershel and Beth were close to one another Daryl was close by Carl was beside him staying far away from his mother Rick was by the entrance incase something happened. T-Dog was close to Rick helping keep watch Carol and Lori were together Lori was starting to show now. He had supplies but he didn’t want to use his magic in front of the group. Carl said ‘’Are you okay?’’ Aries stared at him and said ‘’I miss my dad’s and brother’s.’’ Carl said ‘’You have brother’s.’’ Aries grinned and nodded and said ‘’They are older my twin brother’s are Castor and Pollux and then my oldest brother is Orion we are named after constellations.’’
Daryl grunted ‘’Castor and Pollux’’ Aries grinned and said ‘’My Daddy and Papa couldn’t find any other twin constellation names and our daddy wanted to keep to the Black family tradition of naming their kids after stars or constellations. I call them Cas and Lux.’’ Carl said ‘’That’s cool’’ Aries said ‘’Daddy was going to name me after a flower they thought I was a girl my middle name is Lily’’ he frowned up his face. Daryl chuckled and said ‘’Aries Lily’’ Aries pouted and said ‘’Lily is my grandma's name’’ Daryl said ‘’It’s nice’’ Aries smiled and Winter walked over and huffed at him and Aries handed him his jerky and Winter whined and Aries said ‘’I’ll be fine’’ Daryl grunted and handed the kid his jerky and said ‘’Eat it before your pet gets upset’’ Aries ate the jerky and Winter stared at him and then took the jerky his master had given him and ate it. Daryl rubbed the kids head and stood up and went to Rick they needed to find food. Daryl didn’t want the kids to go hungry.
With Harry and Blaise
Harry Orion and Blaise had just made it to a small town in Georgia they were looking for supplies when Harry heard a shout of ‘’Jenny!’’ Blaise hissed ‘’No way Harry’’ Harry was running before Blaise couldn’t finish Orion said ‘’Father’’ Blaise hissed ‘’Come on’’ and rushed after his husband. Blaise and Orion looked at the Inferi with a sword in it’s head. It dropped to the floor and Blaise looked at the kid behind Harry. He had dark skin and a curly afro. He was tall. He looked around eleven or twelve and he was staring at the woman’s corpse in shock. He dropped his gun. Harry squatted down and said ‘’Are you okay you didn’t get bit or scratched did you?’’ The boy shook his head and said ‘’I’m okay mister’’ Harry smiled at him and then there was a gun clicking and the boy yelped ‘’Daddy no!’’ He stood in front of them and a dark skinned male came up the stairs and he looked at his son and then the corpse he mumbled ‘’Jenny.’’
He then looked at his son and lowered his weapon and he said ‘’Duane your alright son’’ the boy nodded and said ‘’He saved me I had my gun up but…but…’’ the man hugged him and whispered ‘’I’m sorry I’m so sorry Duane I should have done it if you had died I’m so sorry son.’’ He looked at the three of them and he said ‘’I…thank you for saving my boy thank you’’ Blaise said ‘’We need to get somewhere safe before nightfall.’’ The man said ‘’We have a place it’s a few blocks away you can stay the night.’’ Blaise and Harry nodded and the man said ‘’My name's Morgan Jones this is my son Duane’’ Harry said ‘’Harry Zabini-Black this is my husband Blaise and our eldest son Orion.’’ Orion was keeping watch as the young man nodded at them.
Morgan looked at the three men they had helped them board up the door’s and now they were eating dinner. Duane was grinning at a story Orion was telling him. Morgan hadn’t seen his son smile in a while, not since Rick left to find his family. Morgan looked at the walkie talkie with a little bit of anger. He woke up at dawn every day and he hadn’t heard from Rick yet he could only assume he was dead and he hadn't found his family. They were running out of food and he would have to move on soon. He kept staring at his son. He had come so close to losing him today because he was weak. He was a weak man. Harry spoke and said ‘’Stop that’’ Morgan looked at him and said ‘’What?’’ Harry said ‘’Your boy’s alive, stop blaming yourself for what could have happened and be glad it didn’t.’’ Morgan opened his mouth and Blaise grunted ‘’It was your wife his mother I don’t know if I could have killed Harry either so stop it it’s done she’s gone the reminder is gone as well. Start fresh and make sure your son never hesitates again.’’ Morgan nodded and said ‘’Thank you.’’
Morgan woke up the next morning and saw his son sleeping next to him. Morgan ran his fingers through his son’s hair. Duane mumbled softly in his sleep Morgan chuckled softly Morgan looked and saw the Zabini family huddled over a map and he listened to Blaise talk. Blaise said ‘’Hopefully the city is safe’’ Orion sighed and said ‘’I can go check on my broom Father’’ Blaise looked at him and said ‘’We can head there first if looks like it’s overrun then we don’t go into the city.’’ Harry said ‘’What if he’s there?’’ Blaise said ‘’We keep calling him on the mirror and hope he answers I would rather not risk entering a huge city we might have to use the brooms if he doesn’t answer.’’ Morgan walked over and said ‘’Brooms Mirror’s’’ Orion yelped and Blaise and Harry turned and Morgan had his eyebrow raised and he said ‘’What is going on and who are you people.’’ Blaise said ‘’Orion’’ Orion said ‘’Sorry Father’’ he rubbed his head and said ‘’Privacy spells are my weakness.’’ Harry sighed softly and walked over and Morgan looked at the man and Harry said ‘’We are wizards and we are looking for our youngest son.’’
