Chapter Three- Spring
12 year old Duane Jones ducked behind a tree when a walker passed by him he took out a compact mirror and Harry’s face appeared and he said ‘’Duane’’ the boy said ‘’There’s walker’s towards the river Harry’’ Morgan’s face popped up and said ‘’Be careful Duane’’ Duane said ‘’Dad I’m fine I’m with Orion.’’ Orion waved his hand and Duane said ‘’We are on our way back.’’
Flashback
Morgan stared at them and he said ‘’There’s no such thing as wizards.’’ Harry sighed and said ‘’Our world is hidden from yours Morgan some of us live with muggles or non magical humans and yes we are human we are just born with magic and no we didn’t start this thing these things have no magic in them whatsoever. It’s a muggle made virus.’’ Morgan stared how he could trust them. Blaise frowned and said ‘’We saved your son’s life we shared our supplies with you Harry cares for you muggles I personally could care less’’ Morgan looked at him and he said ‘’I’m sorry I trust you okay I know your good people.’’ Harry looked at his husband and Blaise held out his hand and Morgan shook it and he said ‘’If I can help you find your son I will be honored to help you, you people saved my boy It’s the least I can do as a thank you.’’ Harry smiled and whispered ‘’Thank you Morgan you are welcome to come with us. If that’s what you want to do.’’
Now
Duane ran over to his father and Morgan was crossing out the river they had spent the winter moving from place to place after Atlanta turned out to be overrun with Inferi Blaise and Orion had flown towards the airport to see that the airport had been blown up; it was nothing but burnt rubble. So they had gone around; they had passed by several burnt down farm houses; they had even stayed in a farm house that Inferi’s had clearly passed by; with a burnt down barn there had been several dead inferi corpses. They had stayed there until the snow had stopped falling and then they had moved on. Harry was looking at his mirror and said ‘’Aries please pick up.’’
With Aries
Aries looked at his room in the prison and grinned and Winter jumped onto the top bunk and did a circle and he giggled and then sat on his bed and sighed softly and laid back and closed his eyes. He opened his eyes and looked around. He was finally by himself; he had his own room. Carl was too busy following Beth around to notice him. He didn’t know how he felt about that he shouldn’t care; he had just met Carl a few months ago but Carl quickly became Aries’s best friend, his only friend ever. He grabbed his backpack and then reached inside and enlarged his trunk. He looked at the dark blue trunk with sliver along the edges. He pulled out his mirror and sat it on his bed. It was a small circle shaped mirror with little emeralds with silver edges. He would hang it up over the sink in his room but for now he would keep it next to him. He shrunk his trunk and put it away before some came to his room and then put the miniature trunk away back into his pack. He laid back and picked up the mirror and yelped softly when it started to heat up in his hands.
Harry’s eyes lit up when he saw his son he said ‘’Blaise’’ Blaise looked up from the table and he went over to his husband and Blaise saw Aries looking at them. The boy grinned and said ‘’Daddy Papa’’ Harry immediately began talking and Aries said ‘’Too fast Daddy’’ Harry said ‘’I’m sorry Bambi. Are you okay? Where are you?’’ Aries said ‘’I’m okay I found a pet his name is Winter I’m in Georgia the group I’m with found a prison to stay in.’’ Blaise said ‘’What prison? We are in Georgia looking for you.’’ Aries eyes widened and he said ‘’Really’’ his eyes watered and Harry said ‘’Of course we are looking for you Bambi we have a manor here in the states it’s safe as soon as we find you we can go there.’’ Aries said ‘’I’ll ask Daryl when he gets back from looking for the cafeteria’’ there was yelling and Harry said ‘’What’s going on Bambi? Someone’s yelling.’’ Aries looked up and then he said ‘’I’ll call you back.’’ He hung up and ran off and saw Hershel was bleeding from his leg he gasped softly Rick said ‘’Aries stay in your room Hershel was bit we had to cut off his leg at the bite.’’ Aries nodded and then Rick rushed off to the commissary part of their block. Carl went over to Aries and signed ‘’Okay’’ Aries grinned at him and nodded. Carl smiled at him and then rushed off to the room where Hershel was.
Daryl looked at Aries that evening he walked over and said ‘’Come on’’ they stood at the door of Hershel’s cell Daryl had his hands on Aries’s shoulder’s the boy looked up at him and Daryl said ‘’He will be okay he’s a tough son of a bitch.’’ Aries said ‘’Bad word’’ Daryl chuckled and Aries grinned and then looked at Hershel when he opened his eyes Hershel looked at Rick and Rick uncuffed him and Hershel grabbed his hand and held it and Rick smiled down at him and Hershel grinned up at him. Rick gave Hershel’s hand to Beth and then left the room. Aries said ‘’What’s the name of this place Daryl?’’ Daryl raised an eyebrow but then said ‘’West Georgia Correctional Facility’’ Aries nodded and Daryl said ‘’You got something you wanna tell me.’’ Aries looked up at him and stared up into his blue eyes, blue stared into green and Daryl grunted ‘’You will tell me what’s up later then’’ Aries grinned up at him and nodded and Daryl rubbed his head and Daryl walked away.
Harry waited and waited until his mirror heated up later that evening he said ‘’Aries’’ his son was staring up at him he said ‘’Daryl told me it’s West Georgia Correctional Facility.’’ Blaise looked at the map and said ‘’It’s ten miles from here’’ Orion said ‘’It’s going to be dark if we leave now.’’ Harry said ‘’Then we head out at first light Orion could you go find a car if you can’t then come back before it gets too dark.’’ Orion looked at his brother and smiled and Aries grinned and said ‘’Orion’’ the older brother said ‘’Hey little brother.’’ Orion said ‘’I’ll go find a car that will fit all of us’’ he left the small house they had found. Harry looked at his son and smiled. They were so close to their son. The boy grinned looking at him Harry signed ‘’We will be there soon’’ Aries grinned and nodded he said ‘’Night daddy love you’’ Harry smiled and said ‘’I love you to pup.’’
The next day Harry and Blaise were up and ready by the time Morgan Duane and Orion woke up. Harry said ‘’Come on let’s move people’’ Orion gulped down a pepper up potion and steam came from his ears. Duane said ‘’Cool’’ the group five headed out to the car and Harry pulled out the map. They started their drive towards the prison.
Aries sat outside watching for his parents. It had been a day since Hershel’s leg was cut off he was up and moving around he had been excited to see his parents again he missed them. Winter had caught his energy and was jumping about playing with a random piece of plastic that had been left in the courtyard. Winter looked when Hershel walked out, limping out really on crutches then there was shouting and Aries looked and saw a car at the gates.
Rick Grimes frowned at the car that had just pulled up and had his gun out quickly Glenn and Daryl were there too. He said ‘’Get out of the car slowly’’ a voice Rick hadn’t heard in forever said ‘’Rick’’ Rick’s eyes widened when he saw Morgan Jones Rick said ‘’Morgan’’ the man got out of the back of the car. Daune got out too and Rick grinned and said ‘’Duane’’ the boy grinned and said ‘’Hi Rick.’’ A taller man got out. He had curly black hair and a mixed skin tone and green eyes, eyes that looked just like Aries. He stared at them and then two other men got out, one with green eyes and long black hair and one dark skinned male with gray eyes. He was muscular with a buzz cut. A voice screamed ‘’Daddy!’’ Daryl spun around and Aries was running at full speed with his tiger behind him. Aries jumped the smaller male and wrapped his arms around his neck and wrapped his legs around the man’s waist holding onto him like a koala bear. The man put his hand on Aries’s back and hugged him tightly and muttered ‘’Aries’’ he kissed his head and his cheeks. Aries looked and grinned and said ‘’Papa’’ he reached for the dark skinned man and the man walked over and took him from his husband and held him in his arms he muttered ‘’Hey Bambi’’ Aries put his face into his neck and hummed.
Rick Glenn and Daryl heard shooting and they turned and saw walker’s inside the courtyard where Lori Carl and the other member’s of their group were. They started running. Rick shouted Lori’s name and Blaise put Aries down and said ‘’We will help them Orion stay with Duane and Aries.’’ Orion said ‘’Yes sir.’’ Aries looked around for Carl and saw him and Maggie leading Lori back into the prison and away from the walker’s. Duane walked over and said ‘’Hi’’ Aries blinked at the other kid and said ‘’Hello’’ Duane said ‘’My name’s Duane Jones’’ Aries grinned and said ‘’Aries’’ Duane grinned and signed ‘’Your brother taught me to sign’’ Aries’s eyes widened and he grinned and signed back ‘’Cool’’ Duane and Aries grinned at one another. Orion kept an eye on the other’s since they were safe and away from the walker’s Orion jumped when alarms started ringing bringing Inferi towards the prison gates. Orion stood in front of the two kids and put up a ward over the front gate just in case whoever turned on the alarms could open the gates too.
Harry sliced Inferi's head clean off and then stabbed it in the head he looked when Rick shot the speaker broadcasting the alarm. Rick walked over to the prisoner’s and growled ‘’Can someone open the gates to the prison at full power’’ the brown skinned man said ‘’I don’t know I guess it would be possible I only worked there for a few days.’’ Rick grabbed him and said ‘’Take me there now!’’ Rick looked at Harry and Blaise and said ‘’Can you look for my wife and son? They went into the tombs.’’ Blaise and Harry nodded and said ‘’Yeah sure’’ Rick nodded and said ‘’We will talk afterwards.’’ He left with the other’s to go look for a way to turn off the alarms.
Harry and Blaise went into the tombs to search for Rick’s family they killed several Inferi and then heard a gunshot and Harry looked at his husband and Blaise had his gun up and the door opened and a kid walked out with a sheriff's hat on and a woman walked out with a newborn in her arms her arms were covered in blood. She looked on the verge of tears Harry said ‘’We can take you back.’’ The kid stared at them and nodded and Blaise led them outside. Rick stopped talking and he looked at them and said ‘’Where’s Lori? Where is she?’’ Maggie whimpered softly and Rick looked at Carl and Carl stood there he said ‘’No’’ Rick walked past them and Maggie tried to reach for him and he dropped to the ground and started crying.
Harry Blaise Orion and Morgan along with Duane and the two inmates stood in the cafeteria. Aries was trying to get Carl to talk and Winter was whining sitting looking up at Carl. Carl rubbed his head and Winter licked his hand and Carl went over to Hershel and Hershel gave him his sister and he held the newborn in his arms and stared at her. The baby stared up at him Aries said ‘’What’s her name?’’ Carl looked at him and said ‘’I don’t know yet’’ the infant’s eyes looked at Aries and she cooed. Aries grinned at her and Carl said ‘’Do you want to hold her?’’ Aries stared and nodded rapidly and held out his arms and Carl said ‘’You’ve held a baby before’’ Aries hummed and said ‘’I have a baby godbrother he’s four now.’’ Carl nodded and placed his sister in Aries arms.
The baby wiggled her hands around and Aries grinned and said ‘’Wanna meet my dad’s’’ Carl blinked and then realized the two men who led them out of the Tomb’s were Aries dad's. Carl nodded and they walked over and Aries said ‘’Daddy Papa Carl, Carl that’s my daddy and my Papa oh and my older brother Orion.’’ Carl looked at them and said ‘’Hello’’ the two men nodded at him the pale skinned man said ‘’Sorry about your mom’’ Carl said ‘’Thanks.’’ Morgan walked over and said ‘’I’m a friend of your dad’s my name’s Morgan’’ Carl’s eyes widened and said ‘’Your the man who helped my dad’’ Morgan nodded Morgan said ‘’This is my son Duane he’s around your age maybe a year older.’’ Duane said ‘’Hi’’ Carl nodded at the boy. Blaise walked over and handed Carl a bag and Carl’s eyes widened at the formula and he said ‘’I found it in an abandoned store we were going to take it back to our manor’’ Carl said ‘’Thank you’’ Carl then realized what Blaise had said ‘’Your leaving.’’ They were taking Aries with them Blaise and Harry looked at one another and Aries looked back and forth between Carl and his parents. Harry said ‘’When your dad is better we can talk there’s enough room for all of you to come stay on our island.’’ Blaise hissed ‘’Harry’’ Harry ignored his husband and said ‘’But first we need to talk to Rick’’ Blaise looked at his youngest and Aries was pouting. Blaise sighed and hissed ‘’Fine let’s bring the muggles back to our family island.’’ Aries grinned at his father.
