Not What It Means to “Go Out With A Bang”
After season 2, Ava and Deb are a little distant with each other. Ava has reached out countless times to no avail and has started dejectedly working on her new show, the only way she can still feel connected to Deb and tell their story.
Deb, for her part, is trying valiantly to let Ava pave her own way while crumbling a bit inside each day that a text comes through and just a little bit more on the days when she thinks Ava has finally moved on.
Then, one day she’s working on a QVC taping when Damien comes running for Marcus. At the moment her heart drops a beat, instantly worrying that something is wrong with DJ or the baby.
The hurried discussion followed by Marcus flagging down to stop the filming does nothing to slow her fears. Yet, she doesn’t expect for those around to begin talking in a panicked hurry to, as if only the taping was keeping the chaos at bay.
As the words leave Marcus’s mouth, Deb swears she’s high because it doesn’t make sense. ‘There’s been a shooting…in L.A….there’s no word yet but….Deb it was on Ava’s set’ just sounds like some odd millennial (ok almost Gen Z) nonsense. She starts to sit when Marcus grabs her, keeping her standing. Glancing at him in confusion, she realizes the chair from under her has vanished and Damien is hurrying a replacement chair over.
She falls into it gratefully and then a moment later stands and bolts for the door, Marcus and Damien hot on her heels. She doesn’t heed their calls though. Do they not understand she has to get to L.A.?
Rules:
Ava cannot have died, but she can be either hurt or completely fine and either not there that day or just blessed not to have been hurt.
It needs to have a lot of feels and hurt/comfort with romance thrown in but other than that, feel free to take it where you would like ❤️
