"I think I found Elijah's diary", told Blaise her friends who only sat a few steps away from her. All of them were in one of the studies of the Mikaelson Mansion researching how to break the spell that connected Sophie Devereux and Lily.

Lucy and Lily sat cross-legged on the floor reading in complicated spellbooks. And on the open window at the other side of the room sat Lily's jet black owl which was called Iris. Its yellow eyes seemed as if they watched over the girls. Next to the owl, Blaise had picked up an old brown leather-bound novel from a wooden shelf.

"Read it out", commanded Lucy happy to distract herself from the research they were making. She and her cousin Lily both turned all of her attention to Blaise who dramatically cleared her throat before she started reading out loud.

"August 1359. I have noticed a difference in my siblings. Our bond strains beneath the pressure of our life as vampires. Each day removes them further from the humanity we once possessed. My sweet sister, Rebekah, has grown quite indifferent to brutality. However, the true problem remains my brother, Niklaus. He continues to hide his loneliness with cruelty. Still, I cling to the hope that I, as their older brother, can lead them down the correct path, a path charged with the power of a family united. For if I fail, our family's legacy will end in darkness."

Blaise frowned slightly as she said, "I hoped for a bit more gossip."

They chuckled but before either of the redheads could reply they were interrupted by the loud bickering of Klaus and Rebekah coming from the hallway. The three girls chose to follow the noises of their conversation into the foyer. They went through the hallway lead by Lily. Then they walked down the first few steps of the stairs before they stopped.

The two Originals still hadn't noticed the witches who watched them from above. So Lily made the decision to change that by asking: "What's the plan?"

The two of them looked up to the witches surprised by their presence. But the surprise quickly disappeared from their faces and Klaus replied sarcastically: "Well, that depends what plan you mean, love-- my plan for global domination, or Rebekah's plan to find love in a cruel, cruel world?"

Rebekah took a pencil from a brown wooden desk beside her and threw it in Klaus' direction but her brother caught it easily before it could embed itself in his face.

Blaise sighed before she started descending the stairs. "The plan to rescue Elijah."

Lucy followed behind tilting her head slightly saying: "Or the one to take down your mortal enemy Marcel?"

"Or the one to defeat the witches?", added Lily following her friends downstairs. When she arrived in the foyer Klaus took a few steps on the expensive carpet before making eye contact with the girls.

"Okay. Well, firstly, Marcel is not my mortal enemy-- he's my friend. Albeit one who is unaware that I'm trying to sabotage his hold over the supernatural community of the French Quarter, but a friend nonetheless", he started before continuing his speech.

"And secondly, I daggered Elijah in order to gain Marcel's trust. If I had known he would place my brother in the hands of a particularly nasty teenage witch, I certainly would have weighed my options a bit differently. And thirdly-" He stopped speaking before turning to Rebekah and gestured for her to speak. "Sister, please."

Rebekah piped up and explained: "And thirdly, the plan, as you have demanded, is for Niklaus to simply ask Marcel for Elijah back."

"Wow, asking for Elijah what mastermind made that up?", asked Blaise. Her sentence dripped of sarcasm.

Rebekah replied scoffingly: "Please! Klaus may be a miserable excuse for a sibling, but there is none more diabolical."

"And that's only the Plan A, love! There's always a Plan B.", Klaus replied empathizing on the word always.
Lily rolled her eyes and before asking: "And what's Plan B?"

Klaus smirked with a stare right into her eyes: "War."

In the evening when the half-moon stood high above New Orleans Lily walked around in the garden of the Mikaelson mansion. While her cousin Lucy and her friend Blaise made dinner in the kitchen. While the Mikaelsons themselves visited one of Marcel's parties as a part of their plan to overtake the city.

Lily's red hair was clearly seen in the dark night. She stood near the pool when she heard a twig snap nearby. Her eyes scanned the bushes from which she had heard the noise when a wolf stepped out.

Scared by the sudden appearance of the wild animal she took a few quick steps that were almost jumps backward before she realizes that she almost fell into the pool. After taking a few abrupt but emotional breathes she looked at the amber-eyed wolf. Only then she noticed that it starred at her but made no attend to attack her.

"So you don't think I'm a snack?", the girl muttered raising her eyebrows. Her breath was now calm again and she chose to gather all of her courage and stepped a bit closer.

But she startled when she heard a voice calling for her. "Lilian dinner is ready!" Lucy's voice mocked their grandma. She laughed at her own joke. When Lily turned around to her Lucy signaled her with a wave to walk into the house. Lily nodded at her before turning back to where she saw the wolf between the plants.

She shook her head before returning to her friends. Inside of the kitchen where the others had already filled her plates with the fresh lasagne, Lily grabbed herself a plate.

"So what are three cool girls like us gonna do?", asked Blaise as she shoved a huge bite of food into her mouth. As Lucy was going to answer they heard the doorbell ring.

"The door is open", replied Lucy loud enough for whoever rung to hear. They heard the front door open and close before after a few more moments a woman with wavy brown hair stood in the door of the kitchen.

"I'm Sabine, one of Sophie's friends. I'm supposed to stay with you guys for the evening", introduced the witch herself. Blaise replied smirkingly: "You are supposed to babysit." She interrupted herself with a small chuckle. "Literary."

"Everybody is worried about it", stated Lily before adding: "Even if we don't know what 'it' is."

"Well that's something we can change", said Lucy putting her now empty plate down on the kitchen counter. "You know this thing grandma Molly showed me to find out if it's a boy or a girl... It's not magic just an old trick but it works."

While Lucy searched through her bag for the items she needed for the trick Sabine held Smalltalk with them: "So is it your first time in New Orleans?"

"Well actually parts of Lucy's family are from here", replied Lily smiling slightly as she played around with her hair. Lucy continued without looking up from her brown leather bag she was searching through: "Yep, my mom's parents lived here, I guess. They gave her away when she was still a baby."

She stopped talking as she got up on her feet and held out a purple crystal that hanged on a chain proudly. "And while we're talking about babies we're now going to find out the gender yours."

A few minutes later Lily laid on the kitchen counter while Blaise stood near her head her left hand hovering over the pregnant girl's face at the same time her right hand rested on Lucy's left shoulder. Sabine mirrored Blaise's position only that she stood near Lily's foot. Between the two witches, Lucy stood swinging the crystal over her cousin's stomach. Lucy frowned slightly as she watched the crystal.

Seeing her friend's expression on Lily's face appeared a questioning look as she got more worried. A feeling that Blaise shared with her and instantly voiced with a hint of fear in her voice: "What's going on?"

Lily lifted her head to look her cousin into the eye before adding to her friend's previous statement concerned: "Is the baby okay? Is it healthy?"

Lucy tried to force a smile to face but it couldn't quite reach her eyes. "Yeah it's okay, I guess, but this is kinda unusual... Wait a moment I know what this means." Her expression lighted up as she understood what was happening. At the time she explained it to the other one a huge smile was on her face. "You are not having a baby. You are having two."

Lily's eyes widened in shock as she asked yelling: "Really?!" Blaise's mouth just opened a bit in surprise before she concentrated herself asking for the gender of the child.

"I get multiple different kinds of vibes so I assume it's a girl and a boy but you know magic isn't an exact science." Lucy joked at the end of her statement but before her friends who were now much calmer had the chance to laugh.

The purple crystal started to swing wildly in a different direction. Lily frowned worriedly before asking quickly asking: "What's going on?" She bit her lip as waited for an answer.

"I don't know.", mumbled Lucy in a mixture of shock and confusion as her glare stuck to the crystal. Her eyes widened even more as the purple crystal suddenly started glowing with a bright light, which caused Lucy to drop it in panic. In the exact same moment, all of sudden Sabine's eyes rolled back in her head, and she began to chant in a low voice and an unrecognizable probably ancient language. "Hoc est infantima malom. Nos omnia perditu el eam."

Later that same evening in another room of the same Mikaelson Mansion Lily sat alone in her bedroom surrounded by old texts and thick spellbooks. She had told her friends to get their needed sleep. While she herself still tried to research what the words she heard earlier truly meant.

Currently, she handed her owl a handwritten letter addressed to headmistress McGonagall asking for help. She nodded at the owl and then watched it fly through the open window out in the night.

When Lily heard footsteps entering the room she turned around and saw a man standing in the doorway to be specific it was the father of her child Klaus Mikaelson.

He walked towards the window next to her bed on which she sat. He stopped as he was only a few steps away from her before his dark blue-green eyes which contrasted his pale skin looked into hers. "I thought you might like to know, Elijah is returning to us."

"Good to know", she said looking down into her spellbooks before she returned his gaze. They stayed silent for a moment. Then Klaus opened his mouth slightly as if he wanted to say something but quickly closed the gap between his pink lips again. He shook his head slightly, blinked a few times and then turned to leave her alone but she stopped him by saying with a quiet and soft voice: "Niklaus."

He turned his head to look at her. He watched as she slightly bit her lip before saying: "I found something out today. I think it's twins."

She smiled shyly and after a moment, he smiled as well. He then turned away and left her alone. On his mind still, the thought that brought him the pure happiness he had missed in a while.
