In the Mikaelson Mansion living room sat an odd group of women. The oldest one of them and the only one who wasn't a witch was the blue-eyed Rebekah. Her naturally blonde hair fell gently on her shoulder as she sat at the coffee table and typed on a laptop which laid in her lap.

Near her sat the rest of the group on a sofa and a leather armchair. On the green velvet couch laid Lily flipping through a book. Her two best friends shared the black armchair as they watched Lily talk to the beautiful blonde healer who leaned over her. The healer's name was Victoire and Lily's and Lucy's cousin.

And lastly sitting against the armrest next to Lily's head there was the soon to be grandmother Ginny. She wore her long flaming red mane-like hair open and her bright brown eyes looked exactly like the ones of her daughter.

"So how is she doing doc?", asked Blaise Victoire. The beautiful blonde ran her hand through her hair before replying: "She was overdue for a checkup and should have told the family sooner."

She gave the pregnant redhead a slightly judging look causing Lily to look down slightly embarrassed. But Victoire continued quickly before even noticing her cousin uneasiness: "She seems okay but she should go to a doctor who is specialized in pregnancies."

"What is she supposed to do? Pop into the Quarter for a quick ultrasound? A witch pregnant with a werewolf? Nothing to see here?", asked Lucy mockingly laughing slightly. Rebekah now chose to enter the conversation with a mildly jealous and bitter sound in her voice: "A lot of women would kill to have a child. It strikes me as odd that you're thinking of this as a joke."

Rebekah continued talking now turning her attention towards Lily: "One of the witches I think her name is Agnes has told me of a doctor out in the Bayou, off the beaten path... I took the liberty of making an appointment for you. Tonight, after-hours, just us."

"Sounds good", said Lily as she sat up on the sofa and laid down the book she was reading.

"If that's everything... I have to leave now", said Ginny with an apologizing smile. Everybody said goodbye to Ginny before she walked back to the foyer with her daughter. They talked a bit about everything and nothing.

But their lose conversation came to a sudden end as Lily was about to reach for the doorknob and the door opened itself. Behind it stood with a surprised expression in his blue-green eyes Klaus Mikaelson

For a moment neither of the group talked as if they were paralyzed by the shook of meeting each other because Klaus Mikaelson wasn't the kind of person you would introduce to your mother as the father of your child.

Klaus broke the silence by introducing himself while he offered the woman handshake: "Klaus Mikaelson"

"Ginny Potter", she replied shaking his hand with a polite jet friendly smile before adding: "Lily's mother."

He nodded slightly and said: "Figured that out. I'm the-", he quickly glanced at Lily's small baby bump before continuing: "father."

Before they could continue their conversation Lily excused herself and her mother. Then she walked out of the house her mother following right behind her.

"He seems nice... I mean nicer than I've expected him to be", said Ginny and added with a mocking tone in her voice: "And better looking than I expected him to be."

"Come on", groaned Lily annoyed. "First of all, he can probably hear you and second of all just because we are having a child it doesn't." She paused shortly not really knowing how she wanted to finish the sentence so she just said: "Whatever you know what I mean."

"Not really but I have to leave know sweetie", said Ginny before after a long hug saying goodbye to her daughter.

It was late in the evening the sun had gone down already. In the middle of the Bayou, a car drove to the lonely house of the doctor. In it sat Rebekah who also drove it next to Lily who rode shotgun.

Lucy visited her family at home while Blaise stayed at the manor because she thought that to quote her: "the three of them weren't Siamese twins and hadn't to do everything together.

"What's going on with your family?", asked Rebekah breaking the silence as she looked away from the road and then at the redhead next to her. Lily looked at her confused: "What do you mean in particular?"

"Well, I know that you have two brothers and that Lucy is your cousin but what else is there to know?", Rebekah explained her question as she looked back at the road. Lily chuckled slightly as she said: "That's quite complicated but I'm gonna try to make it as easy as possible. My dad-" "You can leave out the whole chosen one part."

Lily raised her eyebrows in surprise about the fact that Rebekah had that knowledge.

"Okay... Well so on my dad's side isn't really family except for a muggle, that means none-magic person, a cousin of my dad who has a bit of family but we aren't really close... So my mother's side of the family is a bit more complicated but we are also closer... My mom had six older brothers. The oldest one Bill has three kids with his wife Fleur. Their names are Victoire, Dominique, and Louis. Vicky, you met her this morning, is dating Teddy who is my dad's godson and almost like a brother to me. Then there is Charlie he is single. My third oldest uncle is Percy. He is the father of Lucy and her sister Molly. Then there is George his twin had died years ago. George and his wife Angelina have two kids Fred and Roxanne. My last uncle is Ron. He and his wife Hermione are my dad's childhood friends. They are the parents of my cousins Rose and Hugo."

Her calm explanation had quickly turned into her describing her family so quickly Rebekah struggled to keep up.

And because she was so concentrated Lily only realized that the car had stopped a few moments later and said: "Seems like we are there. Wish me luck. I'm gonna call you when we're finished."

Rebekah agreed to the suggestion nodding slightly. She exited the car nervously and walked to the building. The blonde watched Lily enter the house before she drove away.

Ten minutes later Lily was given an ultrasound by the elderly blonde woman who had introduced herself as Dr. Paige.

They listened to the combination of multiple fetal heartbeats smiling.

"Your baby's heart rates are perfect.", explained Dr. Paige smiling. Lily looked at her also smiling: "I knew it. The two of them are fighters."

Dr. Paige chuckled before looking at her confused: "The two of them?"

"Yeah my friend Lucy did this magical test my grandma showed her and she figured out it was a boy and a girl", explained Lily perplex by the doctor's question.

"Well your friend must have made a mistake", said Dr. Paige. She took a deep breath before explaining calmly: "Because to be exact it's a girl and two boys."

Lily blinked a few times without saying something before she asked: "How?"

As Dr. Paige was about to reply she said: "I mean I know how I made them but-" She stopped herself from continuing and simply asked: "Can you show me them?"

Dr. Paige pointed at the monitor connected to the ultrasound device. "That's your daughter." She pointed to another grey spot on the screen which looked slightly more human. "That's son number one and right next to him is his brother."

Lily couldn't really recognize a lot on the old screen but Dr. Paige's explanation made everything a bit more understandable to her.

She thought about the joy but also fear of having three children when she hadn't even planned on having one or at least not in the near future.

She always wanted to have a child when she was successful with her work as a journalist. She wanted to marry the love of her life. She wanted to live in a small house near a lake. She wanted to be seen as her own person and not only as the daughter of the boy who lived. She wanted her family to be proud of her.

But now nothing of that was possible anymore. She had quit her job. She had no loving boyfriend. She would never have the small house near a lake she always dreamed of. And she would now be seen as the mother of Klaus Mikaelson's child.

She shoved the negative thoughts into the back of her head as Dr. Paige handed her a tissue to wipe the ultrasound gel off her abdomen which Lily did. She sat up and asked as she put her sweater on: "We're done, Doctor, aren't we?"

"Almost but your blood pressure is a bit high, I've got something for it.", she responded before walking into another room. Lily flinched as she suddenly heard a wolf howl loudly. She got up to look out the window and saw the headlights of a black car approaching which made her feel a weird mixture of suspicion and fear.

Dr. Paige returned with the medication. But besides the medicine cup, she also carried a syringe which she tried to hide in her hand. Lily stuttered nervously: "Tha- thanks bu- but I r-really need to lea-leave now."

Dr. Paige seemed to panic as she lunged at Lily trying to inject her with it. The redhead instantly reacted. She grabbed her arm and pushed it away from her, headbutted the doctor to disorient her, and then stabbed the syringe into the doctor's neck which caused her to pass out onto the floor.

Just as Lily thought she had handled the situation as a group of intimidating looking man who had just exited the car outside walked into the clinic. One of them then noticed Lily standing near the body of the which laid on the floor. He pointed at her and then told the others something Lily couldn't understand because it was to quiet for her to hear.

They started walking faster and faster towards Lily until they started running. Lily instinctively grabbed her wand and cast a spell to shut and lock the door before they were able to enter. She heard one of them rattle at the doorknob. Her hands shivered full of fear as she tried to open the window to escape. She then chose to wrap a piece of her sleeve around her hand and then punched the window causing the glass to shatter all over the floor. She climbed through the window out into the wood right before the door burst open.

She ran as deep into the woods as she could before she stopped and hidden behind an old oak and the fog. She got her phone out of her jeans pocket her wand still in her other hand. She texted Rebekah a short message before she put away her phone again. She looked over her shoulder and saw the group of six men who she now counted for the first time coming closer to her.

She hid behind the huge tree again holding her breath. They passed without noticing her. She put her hand which held her wand up and pointed at the male who had the most muscles and stood in the back of the group. She used a silent curse to knock him out. He fell to the ground on which moss and grass grew.

Lily flinched slightly because it looked like it must have hurt but also because he landed on the ground so loud that the others turned around curiously.

They run towards her to attack her. While she manages to knock out two of them the remaining three still managed to come close to her. One of them who had short dark hair and held a knife in his hands. It was huge. Its silver sharp blade was connected to its dark brown handle.

He leaned forward before he suddenly stabbed her into the left leg and she screamed at the unexpected pain.

She didn't know what his plan was but she was also unable to figure that out or concentrate on anything at all. She felt like everything was shaking. The laughter of the men echoed inside her head. She sunk to the ground unable to even stand. Her fingers still clenched around her wand. She crouched against the oak tree behind her in a defensive position. A single tear fell down her cheek.

She looked onto her wound confused as she felt it started to tickle in a weird way. Lily wasn't sure how stab injuries were supposed to feel but she had the feeling it wasn't supposed to do that.

The men stopped laughing and started to frown as Lily started feeling better. The one who had stabbed her shortly earlier tried to step closer to her. But he suddenly fell to the floor when his heck was snapped along with the ones of his companions shortly after by a pair of feminine hands. Lily quickly realized that the hands who now helped her up belonged to Rebekah.

"That witch doctor betrayed me. I'm so sorry. Do you need my blood to heal you?", Rebekah asked worriedly referencing the still not dry blood on her trousers. Lily replied shaking her head slightly: "No, no, I'm okay... And it's not your fault."

Rebekah's eyes mustered the border of the woods. She pointed at one corner of the forest where she saw flashlights in the distance heading toward them.

"There're more of them. Run!", commanded Rebekah noticing them coming closer. Lily heeded the warning and walked with large fast steps away from them through the woods which all seemed the same in the darkness of the night.

Next to her walked Rebekah who muttered to herself: "If I had a dollar for every mess my family has got me into..."

Shortly after that, they couldn't escape anymore. The group had come closer to them. But Lily only realized how close they really were when Rebekah was suddenly hit by two arrows right into the heart causing her to fall to the ground. Lily watched her go down in horror as she screamed her name: "Rebekah!"

Before she could try to run farther away she was shot by an arrow right into her left shoulder. It felt weird as if it made her feel weaker. It was almost as if the arrow was coated in something that caused her to pass out. And just like that, she fell to the ground as well.

She didn't know how much time had passed when she finally woke up again. She was in front of the clinic she had walked away from earlier. She stumbled around even if she didn't know how she had gotten there. The only thing she wanted to do was to shower because she felt exhausted, dirty, dazed and her clothes were tattered.

Luckily for her, she saw Klaus and Rebekah exit the clinic. They looked shocked and worried as they saw her especially Klaus. He called for her: "Lily! What happened? Tell me what happened!"

Lily tried to find the answer to the question. She frowned as she said hesitating: "I... I... I don't know... I can't remember."

Klaus anxiously examined Lily for any wounds but he rose his eyebrows as he started: "You've completely healed. There's not a scratch on you. How is that possible?"

"I don't know... they stabbed me... it healed so fast", she replied groggily as she walked a few more uncontrolled steps towards Klaus. As she tried to walk farther towards Klaus she tripped but before she could fall to the floor Klaus used his vampire speed to catch her.

She smiled a little at him as she mouthed him: "Thanks!"

"The baby", called Rebekah out. "The vampire blood-- Klaus' vampire blood-- in our system. It can heal any wound."

The two of them smiled slightly at the thought. Before Klaus returned to being serious. "How did you escape? You were outnumbered and only had a wand? Those men were ripped into sheds."

She tried to remember it but the only thing she could remember was seeing the wolf she had seen days earlier at night near the pool. So she told him quietly the only thing she could recall: "I think it was the wolf. I think it tried to protect me."

Klaus turned angry at the thought of Lily being in danger: "The witches were supposed to protect you! When I get my hands on Sophie Deveraux--"

"It wasn't Sophie. It was Dr. Paige.", explained the redhead trying to calm him down as she got out of his arms trying to stand on her own feed without his help.

"Fine! Agnes, Sophie, Dr. Paige, it's all the same to me! I'll slaughter the lot of them!", he said angrily not going to calm down.

"Not if Elijah gets there first", replied Rebekah annoyed by her brother being so outrageous. Her statement confused Lily who still thought Elijah was given to Marcel. "What? What's going on with Elijah?"

"He's been in touch, and he has a plan. All he asks is that we take care of you", explained Rebekah towards Lily with a caring expression on her face.

Lily nodded slightly trying to concentrate on Rebekah's words and not to focus on the pain and exhaustion she felt everywhere in her body. "Can we go home now? I would like to sleep for a few hours... or days."

Klaus nodded with a small smile on his face. He watched Lily trying to walk but her knees buckled, she stumbled and started to fall. So he catches her again before she could hit the ground and scooped her up into a bridal carry in his arms.

He leaned his head down to her ear and whispered softly: "I've got you, love. I've got you. Everything is gonna be okay."

She leaned onto his muscular chest and closed her eyes exhausted. She slowly fell asleep but then it hit her that she still had to tell him something.

"Triplets", she mumbled quietly. "It's gonna be triplets."

He didn't reply. She didn't want him to reply. She just wanted to be weak for once and to show it someone without feeling judged because that was something she didn't do in a long time.
