Sirius Black
Teddy was not dramatic. He told himself he wasn't, not to a major extent at least. His reaction was completely justified, as he kept reminding himself. Harry and Ginny had no right to keep this from him, he lied to himself. The truth was, in the end, they sort of had every right.
"You kept this from me! Who is this guy? Huh!? How did he know my dad?" Okay, so maybe Teddy is a little dramatic and overreacting just a tiny bit. Ten year old James and eight year old Albus were seated at the table, working on their own personal studies that Harry personally taught them before their time at Hogwarts. He had done the same with Teddy and it prepared the only Lupin boy a lot. Harry looked at what Teddy was talking about, his face instantly paled. Ginny jumped up from her seat, snatching the paper from her godson.
"Where did you find this?" She demanded to know. Lily looked up from her drawing, curious as to what was going on. Teddy blushed, he wasn't supposed to go in Harry's study unsupervised. There were a lot of dangerous objects from the Ministry in there.
"Around" He looked to the side, avoiding his godparent's suspicious looks. Harry saw it, he already knew where Teddy had been and how he found the paper.
"Edward" Harry remained calm, and perhaps that is what scared Teddy the most. After getting no response, Harry continued.
"You have one more chance to tell me where you found that or I will..." Harry trailed off, he didn't know what he would do. Teddy probably picked up on this but gave in anyways.
"Alright, fine! I went into your study. I was looking for something and I came across this. Who is he?" Teddy rambled, desperate to get to the end of his planned out sentence. Harry sighed, rubbing a hand over his tired face. He couldn't be mad, not at his son. He sat back down, taking Teddy's hand in his larger one and pulling him to stand in front of Harry.
"Jamie, take Al and Lily outside to play. Don't use your brooms, and I want all of you to have two feet on the ground at all times, do you understand?" Harry gave a brief glance to his younger three children. As soon as they were out of the kitchen, Harry turned back to Teddy, ready to explain everything.
"His name is Sirius. Sirius Black. He knew your dad from their school years, they shared a dorm and they apparently became best friends in their first year, along with two others. My dad, James Potter, and the fourth, Peter Pettigrew" Harry explained. Teddy's eyes widened in surprise.
"Wasn't Pettigrew the one who...?" Teddy couldn't say it, even after all these years, he couldn't say it. Harry nodded, his face suddenly grew very sad.
"Yes, he was the one who betrayed my parents and your dad. He's the reason my parents are dead" Harry answered. Teddy had to sit down, for one he was tired of standing in front of Harry while listening, and two, if Harry was already getting this far, Teddy knew he would need to be seated for the rest of the story.
"After your dad, Sirius, Peter, and my dad graduated Hogwarts, they joined the first Order and fought alongside Dumbledore. Well, unknowingly, at the same time Peter had already joined Voldemort's side and he was a spy. We didn't know this and things started happening. There's a lot in between but we don't need to talk about all that. What Peter didn't know was that they technically had a spy too, Sirius' brother. He joined the Death Eaters when he was sixteen and for that they never really trusted him, now I wonder if things would be different if they listened. He told Sirius that Peter had betrayed them, but nobody believed him so he tried to prove it by hunting down one of Voldemort's horcruxes. Sirius was made my godfather and not long after, my parents had to hide so they made Sirius their Secret keeper, meaning only he could know where they were and could visit them. There were rumors going around and your dad convinced my parents to switch Secret Keepers and make Peter their Secret keeper instead, so they did, not knowing how much they would regret it. On October 1981, Voldemort went to Godric's Hollow when I was only a year old and killed my parents. On the same night, Peter faked his death and framed Sirius for his murder, and the murder of other death eaters" Harry kept going. He had so much more to tell. Teddy's eyes were wider than before, he had covered his mouth to hide his horror at the events that took place before he was even born.
"Sirius was sent to Azkaban, merely because of his best friend and because he wasn't given a fair trial. Not much happened after that, it was pretty calm for a few years but in my third year, your father and Sirius came back into my life. That year, your father became the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher and Sirius escaped from Azkaban. Not long after, we were fighting escaped death eaters in a part of the Ministry and Sirius fell into a veil-like thing. We have not seen him since, no one knows if he's really dead but he's not back so we just assumed he was" Harry finished off. Teddy had tears in his eyes, he could only imagine the pain his dad felt getting one of his best friend's back only to have him ripped away again, the pain Harry felt to see someone he could trust taken away. It was at that moment that Teddy decided he truly despised Death Eaters. It was at that moment that he decided no matter what happened, he was going to find Sirius and bring him back.
"Well, that's enough of that. I will take this and stay out of my study. It's no place for a child. If I catch you in there or find out you've been in there, I will not be so forgetting. There better not be anything else missing, or you will never see the light of day again" Harry stood up, heading to his study to put the paper away.
"Yeah, I got it! Don't worry" Teddy agreed. He didn't want to risk what would happen if he didn't. Now he just had to lay low until he figured out a plan, he couldn't let anyone know what he was thinking or planning, not even Victoire.
