Chapter 3

On the 1st of September Celeste woke up, got dressed, ate breakfast, and went to kings cross. Arcturus, Melanie and Cassiopeia went with her. As they arrived Celeste said her goodbyes. “Wright us at least once a week,” said Melania. “Make us proud” Spoke Arcturus. “I will” promised Celeste. Hugging her godmother, the girl boarded the train. After a few minutes you found an empty compartment. Moments later her friends joined, they spent the train ride talking about their summers.

once they arrived, they walked onto the platform where is shoot man waited for them. The man’s name was Hagrid. the five children went inside one of the boats, the boats took them across the black lake. The group of first years walked up a grand pair of stairs where an elderly woman was waiting for them. “The start-of-term banquet will begin shortly, but before you take your seats in the Great Hall, you will be sorted into your houses. The Sorting is a very important ceremony because, while you are here, your house will be something like your family within Hogwarts. You will have classes with the rest of your house, sleep in your house dormitory, and spend free time in your house common room.”
"The four houses are called Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. Each house has its own noble history, and each has produced outstanding witches and wizards. While you are at Hogwarts, your triumphs will earn your house points, while any rulebreaking will lose house points. At the end of the year, the house with the most points is awarded the house cup, a great honor. I hope each of you will be a credit to whichever house becomes yours.
"The Sorting Ceremony will take place in a few minutes in front of the rest of the school. I suggest you all smarten yourselves up as much as you can while you are waiting."

With that Professor McGonagall walked inside leaving the group alone.
Her eyes lingered for a moment on some boys in the front. "I shall return when we are ready for you," said Professor McGonagall. "Please wait quietly.” "How exactly do they sort us into houses?" asked a black-haired boy. "Some sort of test, I think. Fred said it hurts a lot, but I think he was joking." . No one was talking much except a bushy haired girl probably a mudblood, who was whispering very fast about all the spells she'd learned and wondering which one she'd need. Several people behind her screamed.
"What the --?"
They gasped. About twenty ghosts had just streamed through the back wall. Pearly-white and slightly transparent, they glided across the room talking to one another and hardly glancing at the first years. They seemed to be arguing. What looked like a fat little monk was saying: "Forgive and forget, I say, we ought to give him a second chance --"
"My dear Friar, haven't we given Peeves all the chances he deserves? He gives us all a bad name and you know, he's not really even a ghost -- I say, what are you all doing here?"
A ghost wearing a ruff and tights had suddenly noticed the first years.
Nobody answered.
"New students!" said the Fat Friar, smiling around at them. "About to be Sorted, I suppose?"
A few people nodded mutely.
"Hope to see you in Hufflepuff!" said the Friar. "My old house, you know."
"Move along now," said a sharp voice. "The Sorting Ceremony's about to start."
Professor McGonagall had returned. One by one, the ghosts floated away through the opposite wall.
"Now, form a line," Professor McGonagall told the first years, "and follow me."
They walked out of the chamber, back across the hall, and through a pair of double doors into the Great Hall.

They group walked inside. "It’s bewitched to look like the sky outside. I read about it in Hogwarts, A History." Said the girl from previous. Yes, definitely a mudblood thought Celeste.
"When I call your name, you will put on the hat and sit on the stool to be sorted," she said. "Abbott, Hannah!" A pink-faced girl with blonde pigtails stumbled out of line, put on the hat, which fell right down over her eyes, and sat down. Moments pause --"HUFFLEPUFF!" shouted the hat. The list went on. "Potter, Harry!" As the boy stepped forward, whispers suddenly broke out like little hissing fires all over the hall. "Potter, did she say?" The Harry Potter?" The hat took its time, until it yelled “Gryffindor.”

“Celeste Peverell” shouted the woman, Celeste walked to the stool. Seconds later iit yelled “Slytherin.” Celeste joined her friends for the feast. After they went to the common room and feel exhausted into their beds.

The next day, the first years got their timetable. Transfiguration was rather boring, except Weasley and Potter being late. Charms was just theory. Potions however was quite funny. Professor Snape her head of house walked inside, lecturing the class. When he went down the name list he paused and shouted, “Harry Potter our new celebrity.”

He quizzed Potter on a few questions, the answers were all written in the first chapter of our book. Potter didn’t know any of the answers, however the mudblood was raising her hand until she was standing. She is one of the worst kinds, thinking they know everything expect she only knows textbooks word for word. No actual knowledge. The ones that try to change our culture and traditions to the muggle nonsense.

The rest of the class was quite until. Longbottom blow up his potion. Earning potter another lecture from Snape. After potions we went to lunch and went outside for flying. The teacher told us to say “up” and catch our brooms. She told Malfoy that he has been mounting his broom wrong his whole time, it was rather embarrassing after he has been telling everyone how good of a flyer he was. Celeste was relieved that he wasn’t the heir of the black family. He only would embarrass the house.

They were supposed to jump and hover over the ground. Longbottom lost control end broke his wrist. After the teacher went with him to the hospital wing a fight broke out. Ending in a pissed Malfoy and Potter being rewarded for breaking the rules. This school really has gone to the dogs.
