Collecting 'strays'
Nedzu never even considered the possibility of biological off spring. He was hybridised to the point of sterility, and, even if he wasn’t, finding a compatible female to mate with or to simply carry for him would place himself, the female, and any potential off spring at risk. Family was a weakness all too many would willingly, gleefully even, exploit and he was NOT one to leave a weakness that wasn’t bait for a trap.
He’d made due with his Hero School, his Hero Career, his information network and his students, particularly his specials, as his legacy.
And yet, here they were. Two pups that carried HIS scent, among the other infants this poor woman had been forced to produce with her Quirk. It was a fascinating one. Exposure to a person when her Quirk was active and her focus on that person allowed her to essentially ‘clone’ them, creating an off spring which she would then gestate for a few months until it was viable and able to survive outside of a womb-like environment.
She could also, in a pinch, use DNA with blood or reproductive cells being the least risky to use. That option was not a preferred one as it carried more risk to it and it was the one her ‘hosts’ had been forcing her to use.
She had been passed around quite a bit since her kidnapping three years ago and subjected to a Quirk that sped up her personal time meaning she could churn out an infant/ litter every other month though it took her time to recover in between. Time her captors weren’t really granting.
She was in TERRIBLE condition and her Quirk and body both were badly strained. It might be YEARS before she could do so again if she could even bring herself to.
At first, she’d had been used to extort money from couples wishing for their own child no matter their gender or the appropriateness of it.
THEN she was being used to create children for Quirk Trafficking, especially once it was found that she DIDN’T NEED to be in a person’s presence per sey to activate her Quirk if it was boosted a bit.
If a person wanted an Heir without the complications of a marriage or simply to have themselves revenge or blackmail material in a celebrity/ Hero’s child, using her it was possible…
She was too exhausted and depressed to care if it was right or wrong or what happened to the children she was forced to bare.
What horrified Nedzu the most, was the fact that this was NOT the first time she’d born his pups. This pair were, in fact, the fourth time she’d been seeded but only the third pregnancy took. Somewhere out there, Kits or Pups of his were being tortured and tormented much the way he had… and possibly by the same group.
The Foot Clan, it seemed, still lived and carried on with ‘business’ as usual, perpetuation atrocities on any not strong enough to resist them and even on their own people.
This time, it was time to burn them out, root and branch, no matter WHO they had connections with, THAT BEING included.
In the meantime, any trace of his having offspring would be wiped completely, from the woman, from the records and from memory if he could. It was the only way to keep them safe.
He’d have to trace the other little ones to see if their genetic donors would accept them or if he’d have to squirrel them away safely. After all, the HPSC would LOVE to get their hands on these legacy children. He KNEW what they were doing to their other child soldiers… but he could not move against them. Not yet.
He COULd keep these children from them though and to ensure any other victims he could track down would also be rescued and either rehabilitated or laid to rest, whichever was the kindest option.
He took the barest moment to admire the days old pups. One obviously leaned more heavily towards the Tiger Quoll in him and the other towards the Stoat.
(ties into Strays)
His oldest pup is only a year older than these but seems to have taken after the rodent Quirked other contributor as, despite his looks, Nedzu has NO rodent in his mix.
The small being was encountered escaping with a quartet of baby turtle humanoids he was very protective of. He called himself Splinter.
Nedzu was only to happy to bring him home, and his littlen ow a Quintet, of turtle lings (four m, one f) with him. They will be safe with his other pups.
After burning what was left of the Foot and metaphorically salting the earth there, he returns home and learns of infants found in alleys.
This needs investigating…

Mezo Shoji and Koji Koda find a kid in a box like an abandoned kitten.
They pick the purplenette and the two other, even younger, kids he’s gathered and take them home.
Koji’s mother is very gentle and wouldn’t mind if he brought home a stray or two but their little cottage is very small.
Mezo, on the other hand, lives in a very empty manse.
His parents are out often and they don’t have many servants so the young boy, if he hadn’t met Koda being picked on, would have had almost no human contact at all.
He’s picked up two strays already. A half-dead-looking kid with bad burns and white hair and a man half covered in fog.
His parents haven’t brought it up and the two have been living, semi-detached, in the manse for almost a year now.
They’re getting schooling and training.
The two have brought in a pair of strays of their own.
One with a Destruction Quirk and the other with some sort of explosion Quirk. The two are of roughly an age at seven or eight and they fight like cats and dogs.
Amnesiac Misty is responsible for D Quirk boy and scars is responsible for the Bomb Pom.
The ‘kittens’ feature a purplenette who already has muzzle scars, he looks about four but could just be small, a tiny green-haired child with crazy, if dirty, curls, green eyes and freckles and a girl with a very round face, brown hair and eyes and pink cheeks.
The pair seem to be two or three.
There was a hidden fourth child, completely invisible. They didn’t realise she was there until they go to pick up the greenie who is clinging to her.
Once the kids are down for the night, the invisible one is spritzed with a harmless water-soluble, quick-drying dye so they can tell the gender and take measurements. They also take a picture so she’ll know what she looked like.
This will be a regular thing if the woman currently caring for them a has a chance.
Touya is a Todoroki, simply bastard born from a girl he raped while under the effect of a panicked civilian's Quirk. It essentially turned off the inhibitors in a person’s behaviour.
It was settled out of court as he was found not to be at fault.
He wasn’t the only one affected and he paid a settlement.
Unfortunately, the girl (she’s fifteen) falls pregnant and her Quirk won’t allow her to abort.
The child will be raised separately from his household and Rei is not informed.
After Rei’s breakdown when Shouta was six, Touya is brought into their home.
He was ten.
He’s not his father’s Heir but he thought it was because it was an accident, not because his father was deliberately breeding for an Heir.
He notices how the icy siblings are disregarded.
Only the child, Shouto is treated as having worth.
When their father is away, Touya gathers them together so the siblings can get to know each other again.
It’s a secret from their father though.
Their father learns of it when Touya is thirteen.
He is sent to the Commission to make something useful of himself and to stop him from instigating his younger siblings.
They are summarily told he died.
Shouto is separated from the other two again soon after.
They are both sent off to exclusive boarding schools and contact is cut off.
Shouto was ten and he’s had enough.
The next time he’s taken to one of those showy events, Shouto sneaks into the back of someone’s limousine.
That was how he met Momo.
He’s there for months before he’s found.
Momo knows of course and she’s been helping him hide, delighted to have a friend her age to talk with.
Meantime they train together and Momo helps him learn what he needs to successfully run away by looking it up on the internet.
His hair and his burn scar are very distinctive though.
Momo makes him a pager so they can stay in touch but not be tracked.
She has also studied really hard and learned how to make hair dye, skin dye and brown contact lenses, a case for them and saline.
Shouto looks very different with darker skin, dark brown hair and brown eyes.
His clothes are switched for something a servant might ware and he has a sleeping bag that rolls up to make a bag.
It takes him a few days to get to the edge of the estate and, from there, he climbed a tree and goes over the wall.
Fortunately, he also has a forest field guide so he knows what’s safe to eat and what isn’t.
He does have some preserved food with him thanks to a kitchen raid and a couple of bottles of water.
It takes him days to get out of the area but he keeps going.
His ‘backpack’ is water resistant and he has a tarp and a shock blanket as well.
He camps in parks where he can, going to libraries to search maps.
He’s… not sure where he’s going but he thought he might visit the site of the older brother he know so very briefly’s death.
He’s stumbled into by a clumsy green toddler who latches onto him.
In the babbling he thinks he hears ‘Big bro Toy Toy’. It’s wishful thinking. He KNOWS it is… but he still lets the child lead him.
There’s a boy, bored, black-haired and burn-scarred.
Greeny toddles up to him, his arms reaching in the universal sign of ‘up please’.
The boy grumbles but scoops him up.
The boy squishes the older child’s face and babbles at him before leaning towards Shouto… who has lost his contacts.
The case got knocked from his hand and fell down a drain.
He’s almost out of hair dye too and the skin dye is used up.
His white and red roots were beginning to show.
He knew those eyes though. “T-Touya.” He breathed in shock.
The older boy’s eyes widened and narrowed, actually looking at him this time, examining him closely.
The eyes went very wide again.
His jaw dropped.
“Shou-to. Ototo. What the actual fuck!” He handed the toddler over so he could seize the other boy’s shoulders. “How? What? Why? Shit. Fuck! Endeavor must be going absolutely nuts.”
He raised a hand to facepalm and then ran that hand through his hair.
He paced backward and forwards muttering as the green-haired toddler snuggled his youngest brother.
Finally, he turned back as the ten-year-old, awkwardly holding the greenette, “Right. Right. You’re currently homeless, aren’t you? You’re coming home with me and the chibis when it’s home time. No arguments! You’ve done well, but it gets harder from here.”
A bemused Shouto quietly follows his estranged brother home.
He tells of how the other two were sent off to boarding schools.
Expensive, exclusive ones sure, but it was to get them away from him.
After a few months of being Endeavour's sole focus, he’d had enough so he waited for a chance and then ran… by the way, he owes the Yaoyorozu Heiress for hiding him, training him and helping him get away. He’s not going back. EVER.
