The biggest case of his life

Evan's pov:

It took Evan eighteen years to leave his family behind. It took him another seven years to let go. When he finally does, everything falls apart

It’s not that Evan didn’t love his family, he did. It’s just that they didn’t love him, not the way that a family should. They loved him when he took his first shot, they hated him when he hesitated. They loved him when he killed, they hated him when he loved. They loved him when he fulfilled his “purpose”, they hated him when he failed. Even from a young age, he knew his family wasn’t like any other and not in a good way.

So, on Evans eighteenth birthday, he ran. He ran as far as he could. He ran until his legs gave way. He ran until he was lost. And when he was lost, he was stuck. And when he was stuck, he was terrified.

He was terrified so he walked. He walked until he hell. And when he fell, he met an old “friend”. And when he met an old friend, he was safe.

He was safe until he was not. And when he was not, he was on his deathbed. But that’s not a story Evan likes to be reminded of. So, he ignored and when he ignored, he forgets.

It only took Evan a year before he left the Potters. A year since he bumped into Sirius. A year since he began to make his own future. The Potters offered him a home until he got a job. The Potters offered him a home until he had money. The Potters offered him a home until he chose to leave.

He chose to leave so he wouldn’t be intruding, so he wouldn’t be in debt, so he could be free, so he could live.

Another year later, Evans living in a flat, a flat he picked out three years ago with his dead boyfriend, a year before he found he was found dead in his sleep, a year before Evans life fell apart.

So now he lives in a flat, now he works part-time in a local bakery across the street from him, now he goes to college so he can become a detective, now he ignored and forgets.

Two years later, he passes his course

Two years later, he quits his job

Two years later, he is a detective

Two years later, he meets Lily

He heard what happened through Sirius, he saw what happened to James, he never saw what happened to Lily. Bound to a wheelchair. One week out of surgery. Two months since an attack was made on her life. Three months later, they work together.

It took Evan eighteen years to leave his family behind. It took him another seven years to let it go. Ignore and forget. That’s how Evan works. That’s how Evan lives. That’s how Evan survives.

Seven years after his departure, Evans taking in the biggest job of his life; To take down the biggest criminal mastermind the worlds ever seen. Evan has to take down The Carty Junior.
He will stop at nothing to do just that.

The Carty Junior sprouted out of the ground six years ago, a year after Evan left, and he’s been raking havoc ever since. He has no voice or face, just a signature to go of.
He needs a team

Lily Evans, the scariest person you’ll meet when in the interrogation chair. When she’s angry, you don’t want to cross her.

Sirius Black, the best person with a gun. Say the wrong thing and you wont even know who shot you before you’re dead.

James Potter, the nicest person you’ll meet, Lily’s opposite. Good cop, Bad cop. He can make you trust him until you don’t.

Pandora Lovegood, the smartest person alive. She’ll hack into all of your data before you even know she’s there.

Marlene McKinnon, the best spy on the team. You’ll think she’s your friend until she’s trading information.

And then there’s Evan, Evan Rosier. Who better to test than that? He’s like a human lie detector. You lie to Evan; he’ll know in a heartbeat.

They may not look like much but when they’re together, they’re unstoppable.
