Tony's POV
"Nice work, guys! Excellent. Good team effort, all around. Go us." Tony said as Air Force One's crew celebrated their rescue
"Nice work, uncle Tony"
"Thanks, Kid," Tony said before the suit turned around "But it's only half-done. We've still got to get Pepper-"
The last thing he saw through the suit’s eyes was the front of the semi’s front right before it rammed straight into the suit
"Ouch..." the teen winced

"Yeah... That came out of nowhere... Wow"
"Give me some good news, guys," Rhodey said as he opened the door of the boat's cabin
"We played barrel of monkeys and saved everyone" Teddy smiled
"Oh, thank God"
"That was a great idea, by the way, kid" Tony gestured to the teen, who was seated beside his sleeping mother "Unfortunately, I missed the President"
"And the suit was rammed by a truck" Teddy pointed to the TV, where a frozen picture of a semi's front was displayed
"Not helping, kid"
"So the suit's out?" Rhodey asked
"Nah, but I'll need someone to go and get it, it's battery's too low after the rescue to reassemble itself alone"
"And we still got to get Pepper... How are we going to do that without the suit?" Rhodey sighed and walked out
Letting his friend go back to the boat's steering wheel, Tony was lost in thoughts for a few seconds before suddenly turning toward the mother-son duo "Ted?"
"Yeah?" the kid raised an eyebrow
"I swear it's the only time I do the joke, but I need you to go fetch something for me"
"And, as an added bonus, get me away from the fight for as long as possible"
"Busted" Tony said, without the slightest hint of remorse "You're still a kid, and shouldn't have been dragged into this mess in the first place"
"So you're sending me away to make you're conscience’s clear?"
"And to appease your mother's mind"
"Guilt trip... that's dirty"
"I know"
The teen didn't look happy in the slightest, but after a brief staring contest, he finally sighed "Fine"
"Thank you"
"You better save Aunt Pepper and the President as soon as possible... I'll join you as fast as I can"
"I don't doubt it," the billionaire said as his nephew stood up
The teen had barely jumped back into the water, swimming away that Tony enacted the second part of his plan "Jarvis, is it that time?"
