Where You Want To Be- Narcissa Black
Once again, we had reached the end of the year, and are about to begin a new. Though it is the end of this small chapter in life, it doesn't feel as though it is the end. At least not for me. This year has been one large roller-coaster, full of changes and horrid events, but there has been one good constant in my life, especially in this past year. Narcissa Black, my girlfriend. We have known each other since we were still at Hogwarts, but that was when she was said to have to marry Lucius.
Both of us always had feelings for each other, but we knew we could never act on them. So our feelings remained unspoken, and we remained best friends. Lucius never managed to catch on, how you may ask? Well I don't think that's a question we will ever know the answer too, because it was quite obvious.
Its been two years since the last wizarding war, and Lucius was sent away. Not too long after that was when Narcissa and I both began to acknowledge the feelings we had for each other. We waited an appropriate amount of time before beginning anything, mainly for Draco's sake. He may not have been very fond of his father, but it was still his father nonetheless. After about a year we officially began dating, and it has been the best year of both of our lives. We had both been in relationships prior, and neither of them were healthy.
Being from pureblood families, we were both forced into a marriage, and lets just say we both got the short end of the stick. Our husbands were two peas in a pod. They expected us to be the perfect, trophy house wives, and if we weren't, we would face the consequences.
It's safe to say we were both pretty screwed up from our past marriages, but together, we healed. Between us, there is nothing but love. No yelling, no fighting, no rage, no manipulation. Just pure love, trust, and admiration. That's how we got to where we are now. The two of us cuddled up on each other, and yes, I mean on. The two of us drinking our wine, covered in a mountain of blankets, sitting on our bedrooms balcony waiting for the fireworks to begin. In this moment, I don't think I have ever been happier.
"Are you alright love? It looked like you were lost in thought." Narcissa says while lifting her chin off of my chest to look me in the eyes. Her eyes are something I could get lost in for hours. They are such a soft golden honey like color, and so full of love. "Yes my love, I was just thinking." I say softly. "Hmm, about what?" I smile softly while getting lost in the way she looks in the moonlight, and whisper, "This is just the happiest I think I've ever been. I don't know what I would do without you Narcissa Black."
In that very moment, Narcissa knew she could never ask for a better life. Yes, she has been hurt, but it all led to this moment. She was finally happy, and had the best girlfriend she could ever ask for. In this moment, she knew what she had to do. Looking directly into my eyes, without any hesitation she said "Marry me."
If it weren't for the look she was currently giving me, I would have thought I heard her wrong. "What- are you serious? And don't you dare make that joke." I said while laughing lightly. "I am. So, again, marry me?" I stared at her for a moment, still in shock until I saw her beginning to get nervous. "I will absolutely marry you Cissa. I love you so much." Once again, that beautiful smile spread across her face once I said yes. Next thing I know she whispers "I love you too. So much" before she takes my lips in hers for a soft, slow kiss full of nothing but love. The two of us smile into the kiss, only pulling apart once we both need air, the smiles never leaving our faces.
Narcissa slowly gets off of me, and the song "Best Part" by H.E.R begins playing. She reaches out her hand and pulls me up into her embrace. No words are spoken as the two of us dance out on the balcony under the stars. Hands wrapped around each others waists as my head rests on her shoulder, and hers on my head. "This is exactly where I want to be" I think to myself as a smile spreads across my face. I lift my head and look into her eyes for what seems like hours as we just sway back and forth, both of us with huge smiles on our faces. Narcissa leans in, and once again brings our lips together in a slow, passionate kiss that somehow expresses all of our love for each other.
The two of us jump as we hear loud bangs in the background. Turning around, we see that the fireworks have begun. While staring at the sky, I feel Narcissa's hands wrap around my waist and her resting her chin on my shoulder. Melting into her touch, and leaning back into her, I turn my head to look at her, and we share a short, but loving kiss before turning back to watch the fireworks. Both of us already imagining the life we want to live with each other, knowing that this would only be the first of many new years you would both spend with the love of your lives.
