Chapter 10
Ben and Rey graduated with the others two days later. Kingsley was waiting for them and shook Ben's hand. "You have two days to get rested up before coming to the ministry. Robards will meet you as well as Tonks and James."
Harry and Hermione was saying their goodbyes to the other professors before joining Ben and Rey to leave Hogwarts for the final time.
Finn somehow managed to get back to London. He had found a man that dealed in the dark side of the force and had convinced him to send him back. In return he promised to deliver the last Jedi to him for the murder of Snoke and Palpatine.
What Finn didn't know was that Harry Potter saw him when he arrived. If he been paying attention he would have seen Harry leave hurriedly and he would have heard the pop as he apparated.
Harry ran into Robards office as soon as he got back to the ministry. "Potter, what's the hurry?" Robards asked.
"Finn is back" he replied.
"Finn? The one who tried to take Rey not long ago?" James asked. He had been getting his and Ben's assignment when his son rushed in.
Harry nodded. "I thought Luke and Yoda had erased their memories of Rey when they returned to their home."
"Isn't Finn force sensitive as well?" James asked.
"He could very well be" Robards replied. "That would explain how he still knows Rey and about her. Harry, go and tell Ben and Rey to come to my office. I feel trouble is on the horizon."
Rey and Tonks was going over some paperwork when Harry walked in. "Rey, Robards needs to see you. Meet Ben and I there in a few minutes."
"Is something wrong?" She asked.
Harry nodded. "We will explain when we are together."
"Do I need to be there?" Tonks asked.
"You may as well be, since James already knows. He was in Robards office when I arrived."
Five minutes later Ben, Rey and Tonks sat down in Robards office and listened to Harry tell what happened.
"How did he get back here?" Rey asked.
"He must have found someone who dealed in the dark side of the force" Ben said. "That would be the only way."
"What do we do now?" Tonks asked.
"Your mission is to capture Finn and bring him to the ministry" Robards replied. "Ben, you and Rey will have to stay here for the time being. If Finn should get a hold of Rey, it could mean disaster. I have already informed Kingsley what is happening and he has granted you both permission to stay here after hours till we get Finn."
"There may be another option" Harry said when he saw Ben and Rey shudder over staying at the ministry. "Bill and Fluer's place."
"Run it by Kingsley" Robards said. "In the mean time, James, Tonks get ready. You will be going with me and Harry to hunt down Finn."
Kingsley approved Ben and Rey going to Bill's house. He then sent a message to Bill and Fluer letting them know they would be having some company for a while. Within three hours Bill arrived and took Ben and Rey to his house.
Fluer met them at the door and ushered them inside as bill went back out and put more safety spells around the house. "I've already informed the head goblin that I wouldn't be in for a while" Bill said when he came back in the house. "I didn't go into detail, but he is at least aware."
Rey was sitting quietly on the couch, her arms wrapped around her legs, rocking back and forth. Fluer sat down next to her and laid a hand on her leg. "Don't worry. Everything will be alright."
"You both are safe here" Bill said. "In the mean time we will go about our days as normal as we can, but no owls. We can't risk them getting intercepted."
"Finn doesn't know about that" Ben said.
"He doesn't, but there may be others that do" Bill said. "So to be safe, we won't use owls. The only ones who can get in here is family and Kingsley."
Rey hit her lip as she looked at Bill. "But doesn't that mean Finn can? I've considered him a part of my family for a while now."
"No" Fluer replied. "Only those who share the same blood can. Finn doesn't."
"So my uncle Luke can still come" Ben said.
Bill nodded. "And I have a feeling we will be seeing him soon."
Luke Skywalker did in fact arrive the next day. He reached out in the force to sense his nephew and he knew he wasn't that far away.
Fluer was doing laundry when Luke walked up and he smiled at her. "Good to see you again, Fluer."
She smiled but she raised her wand instead. "Prove to me you are Luke."
"My nephew is Ben Solo. I tried to kill him when I sensed Snoke. I also helped with the fight against Voldemort as did Master Yoda and Anakin, my father."
Fluer's wand lowered just as Bill came out. "Had a feeling you would be arriving soon. Any news?"
Luke shook his head. "Finn is doing a good job at hiding. I came to see if you could use some extra help here?"
Bill nodded. "Maybe you can. Rey is ready to run out and find Finn herself. Ben is having a hard time getting her to stay put."
Luke chuckled. "Sounds like Rey. She is a fighter. Her life on Jakku was hard and she had to fight to survive. She doesn't like staying out of a fight even if it's what she needs to do." It didn't go unnoticed to both Bill and Fluer that Luke rubbed the back of his head. "Long story, but she hits hard."
"I just had found out you had tried to kill Ben" Rey said as she walked out of the house.
When Ben walked out behind her, Luke's eyes widened. "What happened to you?"
"I tried to stop Rey" he replied.
Luke roared. "Well, at least I know you have met your match."
Just then the intruder alarm went off. Bill grabbed his wand and ran to the edge of the barrier with Luke right behind him. Fluer ushered both Ben and Rey back inside and locked the doors. "Let's just hope that it isn't someone who will cause any trouble" she said as she gripped her wand.
Bill and Luke stepped out of the safety barriers around shell cottage. "You go that way and I will go this way" Bill said.
Luke nodded.
Bill had his wand at the ready as he walked around the barrier. He could make out a human form just ahead. It was Finn.
He turned and rushed back to where Luke was. "It's Finn" he whispered. "I need to get a message to Robards."
"You go on" Luke said. "I will try to detain him.".
"No" Bill said. "If he sees you he will know that Ben and Rey are close and get the information out of you. We go together."
Fluer was waiting for them when they came inside. "Finn is here" Bill said. "I'm sending a message to Robards."
"How?" Rey asked.
Bill grinned. "Remember the Patronus charm?"
Rey nodded and her eyes lit up. "Finn won't be able to get it."
"Exactly" Bill said as he sent the message off. "Now we wait."
Robards, James, Tonks and Harry was on the outskirts of Godrics hollow when Bill's Patronus arrived. When they heard the message, they apparated immediately to shell cottage.
When they appeared, Harry saw Finn first and without thinking ran and tackled the man. Tonks and James right behind him.
Robards bound him all before Finn could speak. Once bound, he lifted Finn to his feet. "How did you get here?"
Finn glared at him but kept his mouth shut.
"Go tell them we got him" Robards said to Harry. "James, Tonks and I will take him to the ministry. And make sure Ben and Rey come back with you."
Bill was waiting when Harry arrived. "We got him" he said. "Let Ben and Rey know. We need them to come to the ministry."
Ben and Rey were already waiting when Harry and Bill walked in. "We got him. Robards wants you both to come with me back to the ministry."
"Then let's go" Ben said. With that the three left for the ministry, Bill promising to meet them there in a few minutes.
