Chapter 4
The castle shook as the battle started. Voldemort and his followers had one purpose; to wipe out all those who stood in their way and Voldemort was determined that Harry Potter, the boy who lived, would die.
What Voldemort didn't know was that another piece of his soul had been destroyed, thanks to Lily and Professor Slughorn.
Rey was a little on edge since it hadn't been that long ago that she had fought her own grandfather, Palpatine and having to face another just like him had her on edge. Of course having Ben here helped but he had been with her on Exegol and had died. She couldn't help but think that they both wouldn't last the night.
Rey watched as those who were on the ground started fighting. She could just make out Hermione and Ron in the midst, followed by those who were in Dumbledore's army. The order of the Phoenix, which had grown since Dumbledores death right behind them.
"Your power will help us" Kingsley said as Rey gripped her lightsaber. "You and Ben both. I don't know what caused you both to come when you did, but I for one am grateful."
Before Rey could reply, James Potter joined them, with a grin on his face. "Well, Harry is now on his way to face Voldemort."
"Are all the horcruxes gone?" Rey asked.
James nodded. "Well, all except for Nagini, but that will be dealt with soon enough" he said.
Just then an explosion was heard and smoke started swirling out of the castle, e
Engulfing the death eaters. It settled around where Voldemort and Nagini were and as those who were in the tower watched, the smoke started to disappear. Once everyone could see, Nagini, the great snake laid dead. Voldemort screamed, and Fred, who was on the other side of Rey, laughed. "It's over for him" he said pointing to the ground.
Sure enough, there was Harry Potter, wand in hand, going to face Voldemort. "Do we go to help him?" Rey asked.
"We will by fighting the death eaters" Kingsley replied as he stot a spell at a death eaters below.
It was chaos below and Rey finally got tired of standing on the side lines. She took a flying leap off the tower and used the force to land safely.
Harry's and Voldemort's wands were connected in the battle of wills. She didn't know much about magic but she could tell which spell belonged to who. Voldemort's was a green light as Harry's was red.
There was no time to stand around as Rey started fighting alongside Hermione and Ron, but if she had been paying attention, she would have seen the arrival of other Jedi appear.
Ben on the other hand saw their arrival. He recognized a few from the stories he had heard growing up as well as seeing some Holos. Qui Gon Jinn, Obi Wan's old master was leading the Jedi. Obi Wan and Anakin behind him followed by Yoda and master Windu.
The death eaters had no idea what was going on. How did the defenders of Hogwarts come up with a army like this?
Molly Weasley, who had been fighting Rodolphus Lestrange happened to look up just then and seen Bellatrix disarm Ginny. "Not my daughter, you bitch" she yelled. Bellatrix laughed and fired at Molly, but she blocked it. Rey pulled Ginny to the side and checked her over to make sure she was alright just as a scream rent the air. "What happened?" Ginny asked.
Rey looked and a huge smile split her face. "Harry just killed Voldemort at the same time your mother killed Bellatrix."
Ginny's eyes sparkled as she went to stand up. "So it's over?"
Rey nodded. "It's over."
Those who had survived carried those who had been killed into the great hall. Rey was grateful to see that all the Weasley's were alright as was Remus and Tonks.
Ben, who had been caring for a young boy looked up just then and saw Rey standing at the entrance. He smiled and ran to her, grabbing her into his arms and lifting her off her feet. Others were doing the same thing. Which surprised everyone though was when Hermione pushed passed Ron and ran to Fred who caught her in his arms.
"Did you know about this?" Molly asked Arthur.
Arthur shook his head, his own eyes wide. "I was for sure that her and Ron were into each other."
George chuckled. "They've been together since her fifth year. They just didn't want it to be known with the looming war and everyone trying to get her and Ron together."
"Well that explains why Ron is snogging Lavender Brown then" Harry added.
"I used to know my children" Molly wined.
"You've never known your children" Fred said as he and Hermione joined them. "If you did, you would be able to tell George and me apart."
Molly glared at him. "Not my fault you two are identical."
On closer inspection, Rey noticed that Fred was slightly taller then George and he also had a mark on his neck. Also, George had a missing ear, which confused her, but she didn't want to ask incase it was an embarrassing story.
"Well considering Snape here cursed Georgie's ear off before the wedding last year, you've been doing better" Fred said with a wink at Hermione causing her to grin.
"We may be able to fix that" Ben said. "Hermione explained that magic can't fix a lot of things, but Rey and I have been able to heal each other. She healed me after she stabbed me."
"What?" Everyone said at once.
"To be honest, we were fighting " Rey said. "He was on the bad side and I was on the good. But to be fair, your mother did just die and it distracted you."
Ron was scratching his head in confusion. "But I thought you both were on the good side."
"No" Ben said. "I only returned to the light when Rey did what she did. But also what she said to me."
"What was that?" Hermione asked.
"That I did want to take his hand" Rey replied. "Ben's hand, not Kylo Ren's."
"Dumbledore would say love was what saved you" Harry said as he joined the group with his parents and Ginny.
"And he would be right" Ben agreed with a nod. "In the end, it was the love of my mother and Rey that saved me, but also my father."
"One of my friends, Rose Tico told me once that the only way we would win the war, was not by killing those we hate, but saving those we loved" Rey added. "She was right. I didn't hate Ben. I never did. I wanted to save him."
"She hated Kylo Ren and she fought to save me from the monster I had become."
"And that is why you were sent here" A voice said behind them. When they looked to see who it was, there stood Snape. "It wasn't long after Harry's parents had been killed that I was sent to your galaxy. Dumbledore had become friends with a man named Luke Skywalker. Now, I understand that Luke was your uncle, Ben, and he did make some bad choices, but when I knew him, he was good. He helped me, as did your mother and father. Luke reached out to me not long before you went to Exegol to face Palpatine. He told me everything. We made the plan that if you died, he would send you here at the moment you died. Rey followed after she buried the twins lightsabers on Tataooine."
"My uncle did this?" Ben asked.
Snape nodded. "He did. He wanted you to have a chance at a new life away from those who would be happy to hear that you had died. He didn't want Rey to be alone like she had been on Jakku. So with the permission of those who had been on the Jedi council, he sent you here, so you would both have a chance at a happy life, but also to help us win against Voldemort."
"So we aren't going back?" Rey asked.
"Not unless you want to" Anakin said. "The choice is up to you. But if you do go back, Ben would be tried and possibly sentenced to death and you Rey, would also be banished because of your willingness to protect Ben. The resistance would see it as treason, especially with Poe Dameron the new general. If you stay here, you would never see your friends again, but you would be happy."
"You always said never to take the easy way out" Ben said.
Luke nodded. "I did, but there is no easy way. If you choose to stay here, you would have to give up your lightsabers and learn to use wands. You would still have the force, but this is no place for your weapons. You would also have to work for the ministry of magic, but Kingsley assured me that you both would be welcomed with open arms."
"I want to stay." Everyone turned when Rey spoke. "There is nothing for me back there. I know that now. Only heartache and pain. I know that here we will still have to deal with that, but at least we would be together."
"And I would have the chance to redeem myself even though those who I had hurt would never know about it" Ben added. "I want to stay also."
"Very well" Luke said. "Snape, thank you. And thank you, Kingsley."
Ben looked at his grandfather and Anakin smiled. "You are being given the chance I would have loved to have, but in a way I am glad I wasn't. Don't take anything for granted, my grandson."
"We best be going" Luke said. "But know, even though you both are living here now, we will always be with you."
With that being said, Anakin and Luke disappeared and with them, Rey's and Ben's lightsabers. "Well, time to get you both some wands" Harry said with a grin. "And I know just the person."
