Remus catches on at the same time Camilla does. They watch Lily stare out of the window, vaguely in the direction of the Quidditch pitch during Ancient Runes. Her parchment remains empty, apart from some vague doodles that look like the letters P and J.
Penelope is next. For as long as she has known her dormmate, she’s never cared to understand the rules and tactics that make Quidditch the brilliant sport it is. Today, as they watch the Gryffindor captain deftly pass the Quaffle to Penelope’s younger brother who scores, she patiently explains the Robertson’s maneuver for the fourth time that day.
To absolutely no one's surprise, the two Head Students spend the next Hogsmeade weekend together in the Three Broomsticks, though neither will call it a date. There’s no need, everyone knows.
