Merry Brothers

“Do you think that they will like the wine?” Albus asked his brother as they went up the hill right into the Rizzos’ cottage.

“What are you gaining from this?” Aberforth asked him tiredly. “Is this some type of punishment or do you want to make fun of them...?”

“I just thought that it would be wrong to say no to their invitation.”

“I don’t believe a word you say.”

“Fine” he admitted while he stopped walking, as they had arrived at the place. “I just want you to go out of the house. I don’t want you to get stuck and suffer when there is so many people that cared about you... And I thought that it would be nice to meet your father-in-law.”

“Bella-and-I is not a thing” he reminded him.

“But you like her.”

“Of course, I do” he confessed. “She’s the most amazing witch I ever met. I just don’t need my older brother arranging my relationship and how serious it gets.”

“Why, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to meddle. I just saw you so happy the other day that I thought I should give you a little shove.”

“Thank you, but I know a thing or two about relationships” he smiled. “I’ll be fine. -And of course, you wanted to meddle.”

“Whatever you say, Don Juan” he grinned back. “Shall we?”

Forth knocked on the wooden door. His hands were shaking a little bit. He was excited to see Bella and spend Christmas’ Eve with her, even if that meant meeting her family. For a long time, he had felt like an orphan, so to have a familiar festivity was nice for a change, specially since he was feeling so melancholic because of Credence. However, it was always scary to meet your father-in-law. Then again, he wasn’t his real father-in-law, as they weren’t actually dating... yet.

They could hear Ofelia’s voice from the inside, but eventually it escalated enough so that they could catch the words.

“Braulio, open the bloody door!”

“No! You open your bloody door for your bloody guests!”

“Why are you mad at me?!”

“Because... Christmas and now, he isn’t!”

“And how is that my fault?!”

The Dumbledore brothers shared a glance, but didn’t say a word.

“He said he didn’t... your bloody guests!”

“It isn’t my problem if... Open the bloody door!”

There was a silence again and then the sound of some steps getting closer to the front door.

“Good to know they fight just like us” Albus whispered right into his brother’s ear, before a good-looking Italian boy opened the door.

“Good evening.”
