Forth Dumbledore? No, T. Riddle

Braulio didn’t actually want to be mad with his sister. He loved his sister. But lately, he was so worried about her that it had evolve into anger. It wasn’t a secret that he was the jealous-kind. He didn’t like when men would go close to her, so he didn’t appreciate how she would hang out with Potter and Longbottom. Logically, he didn’t like men like Aberforth Dumbledore coming into his house and openly drooling over his sister. Making jokes and winning his father over like he wasn’t trying to fuck his adorable daughter.

Of course, that wasn’t enough to justify why he was so mad, as he walked by the streets of Diagon Alley. After Boxing Day, he went back to the little flat he called home now, located above Borgin & Burkes. He had moved there to be closer to St. Mungo for his studies.

He entered his flat and stored the left-overs from the night before in the fridge. He felt so tired of his visit to his childhood home because he almost had not slept. The surprising silence that was invading the flat made him look for his roommate. The same partner that he had since he was eleven. It wasn’t normal for the flat to be so quiet in the middle of the day, unless his roomie wasn’t found at home. Therefore, he entered the other room of the flat to find Tom Riddle taking a nap in the lonely, double bed, which -to be honest- it was a little odd.

“Sleeping still?”

“Did you come back?” the half-blood said slowly waking up.

“No, I’m still there” he ironized and sat in the mattress. "I'm just an illusion."

“Did you have fun?” he asked also sitting down. “Did your father like my present?”

“Yes, I’m sure he will send you an owl thanking you.”

“I ought to apologise for not going.”

“They didn’t even notice” Braulio snapped, which confused Riddle.

“What?”

“They were all very charmed by the bloody guests to actually pay attention to anything else” he explained. “I’m damn sure that papà didn’t even speak to me in the whole night.”

“Professor Dumbledore can be very charismatic” Tom pointed out with a dark undertone.

“Professor Dumbledore? Try his brother!” he hissed. “I know Bella is seeing him. I heard her sneak out yesterday. Probably 'slept with him, while papà was resting safe and sound.”

“So, the little princess found herself a boyfriend.”

“No, she found herself a thirty-year-old man that the only thing that does for a living is go around the world fighting sea monsters and dating nymphs.”

Riddle remained quiet for a while, like analyzing Braulio’s recent revelation. His friend couldn’t tell what he was thinking. He could never tell what Tom was thinking. But he was used to him being silent and secretive about his emotions or private thoughts. However, he knew him enough to understand that he was upset. Mad like he was -maybe even a little more-, which made him feel better about his own anger. Like if someone else was upset about it, then it meant that his feelings weren’t only recognized, but also justified.

Suddenly, Braulio couldn’t contain a yawn, snapping Riddle from his thoughts.

“Oh, sorry.” He stood up from the bed. “Get some rest. You must be exhausted.”

Braulio wanted to complain, but another yawn escaped him. So, he kicked his shoes off and Tom helped him get into the covers.

“I have work” he announced. “See you.”
