Summary
Initially Hermione pooh-poohs the idea that muggle authors like CS Lewis and JRR Tolkien were actually wizards but when the Ravenclaw muggle bookclub provides her a reading list she can't help but relive all her favourites with new eyes. "Curiouser and curiouser!" read Hermione to her new pet, Crookshanks, "Now I'm opening out like the largest telescope that ever was! Goodbye, feet! *gasp* Crooky! They must've been actual potions!" Hermione's 50% sure she could pique the interest of the stern, snarly Professor Snape by just dropping the words "potions" "experimentation", but if not she'll get her extremely enthusiastic, nurturing house-mother to wrangle him. Just as well she's had this lightbulb moment - after all, there's a number of big creatures hanging around Hogwarts this year, how else is a precocious 5'5 witch to level the playing field?
